Context:  Age UK Wandsworth is a local, independent charity that works to promote the wellbeing of all older people in the London Borough of Wandsworth. This is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our CEO during an exciting transition period where the organisation is growing and developing to help older people.

This role will suit an experienced administrative professional whose emotional intelligence is highly developed and who can problem-solve with maturity in a complex, confidential and fast-paced environment.

You will be working with a small team who are extremely busy making a difference to the lives of older people in Wandsworth and your role will be pivotal to making their lives easier.

Reporting to the Senior Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever-increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail, with excellent customer care
• Prioritise answering incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to the Senior Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters, including by letter, email and phone, dispatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing, administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date. This will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage the removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Following up cancelled regular payments as part of the winback process
• Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on the Database
• Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
• Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
• Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Senior Supporter Care Manager and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.

We’re currently recruiting a Finance Officer for a leading UK charity focused on gynaecological cancer research. This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) with hybrid working, typically one day per week at their London Bridge office. The salary is £27,000 per annum.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the smooth running of finance operations within the charity. This includes processing income and expenditure, managing the purchase ledger, preparing BACS payments, assisting with payroll, supporting month-end reconciliations, and contributing to audits and governance activities. You will also provide ad-hoc finance and administrative support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record income from fundraising sources.
• Liaise with the fundraising team to ensure donations are coded correctly.
• Manage the purchase ledger, including invoices, staff expenses, and supplier payments.
• Prepare BACS payments and reconcile supplier statements.
• Support payroll and pensions processing.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations, including bank, income, and restricted funds.
• Support annual audits and general finance governance.
• Maintain accurate financial data and compliance with policies.
• Provide ad-hoc finance and administrative support as needed.

About You:

• Experience in a finance role, ideally in fundraising or charity sector.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who works well across teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and IT systems.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Sage 50 and Raiser’s Edge NXT (or similar systems).

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage costs and ensure value across construction and maintenance projects within The Royal Parks.

Working throughout the RIBA stages, you’ll support the Works and Capital Projects teams with expert cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and contract management to help deliver projects that enhance and protect our historic spaces.

You’ll prepare detailed cost plans, schedules of works, and bills of quantities, closely monitoring project budgets and financial performance from start to finish.

Acting as a key link between clients, contractors, and stakeholders, you’ll advise on procurement strategies, evaluate cost returns, and ensure all financial processes are transparent, accurate, and compliant.

Additionally, you will:

• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost forecasting
• Oversee tender preparation, contract documentation, and evaluation of completed works
• Carry out regular site inspections and produce cost and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards

About You

To be considered as a Quantity Surveyor, you will need:

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimations, contract administration and procurement
• Knowledge and experience of contract administration, including NEC3/4
• Experience in cost planning, benchmarking, and value engineering
• Report writing and analytical skills
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience
• A professional qualification or about to obtain RICS
