We work to improve services through research, guidance and learning, and campaign for policy change that will ensure everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it. The Patient Support Service provides practical, emotional and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. About the role

We are looking for a passionate and inspirational individual to lead our Patient Support service across Scotland & Northern Ireland. You and your team will reach kidney patients at their point of need and ensure they are supported or signposted to the services that will improve their wellbeing and maximise outcomes in line with the objectives of the service as directed by the Programme Manager/Head of Service. 

Alongside our other Regional Managers, you will be the national face of Kidney Care UK patient support services, raising awareness of the service and the Charity and building strong relationships with the kidney patients, renal units, Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs), health professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your regions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five Patient Support Officer’s to deliver an accessible, valued and effective service across your designated region. Responsibility for the training, development and wellbeing of the regional team. 
• Lead the delivery of Kidney Care UK service and funder required outcomes into service delivery aligned with the Kidney Care Patient Support service strategy.
• Through in-person attendance at stakeholder events and meetings, build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in health and care commissioning and delivery in your region.
• Develop and maintain effective monitoring and measurement to demonstrate the outputs and effectiveness of the service and its impact on patient experience and outcomes. 
• Using data and insight, report internally and externally with updates on regional issues, needs and challenges to inform service development.

• Understanding of the workings of NHS patient care pathways.

We’re looking for an experienced digital fundraising or digital marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be confident leading projects, working collaboratively across teams and using digital innovation to deliver measurable fundraising and supporter engagement outcomes.

Essential

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

· A proven track record of planning, delivering and optimising successful digital fundraising, digital marketing or supporter engagement campaigns that achieve measurable results.

· Successful delivery of digital projects involving websites, CRM systems and digital platforms, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to agreed timescales.

· Strong knowledge of digital fundraising, supporter journeys, email marketing, website management and social media, with the ability to use data, testing and insight to continually improve performance and supporter experience.

· Experience of working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, and the ability to use data to support segmentation, reporting, campaign delivery and strategic decision-making.

· Proven ability to manage external agencies, suppliers and technology partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

· Experience of monitoring, evaluating and reporting on campaign performance, establishing meaningful KPIs and presenting clear recommendations to stakeholders.

· Experience of managing project or campaign budgets, demonstrating value for money and return on investment.

· Excellent written communication, stakeholder management and project management skills, with the confidence to work independently, take ownership of complex projects and build effective relationships across the organisation.

· A proactive, innovative and solutions-focused approach, with the curiosity and drive to identify opportunities to improve digital fundraising performance.

Desirable

· Experience working within the charity, fundraising or not-for-profit sector.

· Experience of Salesforce or other CRM, marketing automation or customer journey platforms.

· Experience using digital analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics, Power BI or Looker Studio.

· An understanding of fundraising regulation, data protection and digital marketing best practice.

· Experience of digital product development, user experience (UX), conversion rate optimisation (CRO) or website optimisation.

The board also supports 2,500 retired clergy with housing, including managing a national portfolio of 1,200 rented homes and Community Living options. 

Supported by a multi-million pound grant from the wider church, they are setting up a new function responsible for engaging with clergy at all stages of life and ministry on their current and future plans, offering access to grants to kick-start saving, bespoke advice at key life stages and tailored products that will provide people more choice about their future. As part of this new function, they are now recruiting for a proactive, empathetic Regional Adviser to deliver personalised support to clergy based across the South West region, helping them with day-to-day financial wellbeing matters, and retirement planning.

Working across Dioceses operating across the South West, you will proactively lead local engagement with clergy through structured, personalised one-to-one conversations, events and outreach, helping to connect individuals with expert advice, guidance, products and services that support their current and future financial plans. The Chief Mission Officer is a member of our Executive Team, who report into the CEO. The Exec Team help shape and deliver organisational strategy ensuring alignment with our vision, values and mission. The PA to the CMO provides operational and administrative support across a wide range activities, which could include mission development, partnerships, training, resource development, digital innovation and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative support for the CMO

• Manage and coordinate the CMO’s diary, meetings, travel, accommodation, and key commitments.
• Ensure the CMO is adequately prepared for meetings, including drafting agendas, papers, and tracking follow up actions.
• Assist in the prioritisation of the CMO’s workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative support for the CMO, including draft correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documentation on behalf of the CMO.
• With the CMO, translate ideas and discussion into clear action plans and deliverables.

• Attend meetings and events, both remotely and in person, taking accurate notes/minutes and translating them into action plans for the CMO.

We are recruiting for a Research Communications Manager to join on a full-time, permanent contract working 35 hours per week. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for conferences, events and in-person stakeholder or team meetings.

As Research Communications Manager you will champion our research. By making complex science accessible, engaging and meaningful you will ensure breakthroughs are widely understood and effectively communicated. You will translate evidence into inspiring stories, positioning Alzheimer’s Society as a trusted leader in dementia research and motivating more people to join us in driving change.

In this role, you will develop and implement creative, innovative and sustained communications plans relating to our key research activity and its outcomes for a range of external stakeholders. You will manage a team, creating an environment where people feel supported, empowered and able to contribute their best work.

You will own communications channels and work closely with other communications teams across the organisation such as media, social media, influencing and campaigns to support them to use research communications to achieve our organisational goals.

About you

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's financial planning and management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, reserves management and long-term financial planning.
• Produce accurate and timely management accounts, financial reports and Board papers, providing clear financial insight to support decision-making.
• Develop, review and maintain robust financial policies, controls and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to relevant financial, regulatory and charity accounting requirements.
• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including payroll, sales and purchase ledger activities, banking, reconciliations, VAT returns, fixed assets and accounting system administration.
• Manage year-end processes, including audit preparation, annual accounts, statutory returns and funder financial reporting.

Person Specification

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or a very strong QBE (Qualified by Experience) Accountant with strong experience working within the charity / NFP sector
• Strong knowledge of charity accounting, SORP and financial controls, with experience preparing budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
