As our IT Helpdesk Officer, based in Kings Cross, you will be at the heart of ensuring every colleague has the tools, systems, and support they need to deliver life-changing work. From maintaining a smooth and stable IT service across all our locations to working closely with third-party providers, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our organisation connected and effective.

This is a role where every day brings variety. About you:

• Experience in Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support over a number of channels including face to face, phone, email, text, chat and video. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage issues and questions via a ticketing portal, updating clients in a timely manner and following tickets through to resolution. 
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware including cloud servers, desktops, laptops and network equipment.

JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a proactive, inclusive and insightful HR generalist to manage the day-to-day People advisory and operational support across our medium sized charity, while contributing to a range of forward-thinking HR projects that align our processes, policies and practice with our strategic goals. As our Senior People Advisor, you’ll work closely with our Director of People and partner daily with our managers and staff to build confidence in our People systems and strengthen understanding of good practice. Role Responsibilities

• Manage and/or advise on employee relations work with a resolution-focused approach to disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, change management processes.
• Responsible for overseeing our current HRIS system, ensuring it is used effectively, information is up to date and compliant, and more widely ensuring all HR data is sufficiently protected and compliant with GDPR in all systems and processes
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with a range of our People-related suppliers
• Produce and use People data to analyse trends and help make decisions. To include producing dashboards for managers, leadership where required.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of key activities in the HR calendar such as Employee Engagement surveys, the organisation appraisal process, and associated Internal Communications within the organisation
• Develop and evaluate the confidence and capability of managers and staff in our People practices, and systems
• Develop, update and communicate our People policies and procedures, in line with organisational strategy, best practice and employment legislation. 
• Ensure our People practices have safety, diversity, equity and inclusion at their core and play a key role in championing the delivery of our ED&I roadmap.
• Provide first line advice on our Total Reward offer to managers and staff and liaise with benefits suppliers to help us continually evolve our Employee Value Proposition.
• Support managers in inclusive recruitment processes, ensuring compliance, best practice and use of appropriate metrics to continually inform our recruitment strategy.
• Use and update reward benchmarking in line with our reward policy
• Design and deliver wellbeing related initiatives

Responsibilities

People Operations

• To keep all employment records up to date and ensure files are appropriately filed, in particular recruitment and onboarding and process any contract changes promptly.

Recruitment

• Create an interactive and clear recruitment process from advertising to hiring stage, working closely with the wider People team to develop and deliver an excellent recruitment and retention strategy

• To act as a first point of contact for all recruitment enquires and requests received externally or internally, ensuring that these are dealt with promptly and professionally.

• Work closely with hiring managers on recruitment campaigns including supporting on writing JDs, uploading adverts to the applicant tracking system and various job sites, and liaising with the Marketing & Communications team on placing job adverts on social media platforms.

• Spearhead active recruitment and ‘headhunting’, using tools like LinkedIn, taking responsibility for helping us find the very best talent

• Keep up-to-date records of all recruitment and monitor diversity of applicants and produce frequent reports on interest, candidate experience and diversity, in line with our EDI commitments.

• Holding a caseload of people who are sleeping rough where their substance and/or alcohol use
• Ability to conduct street outreach at sleepsites and known hotspots within the Borough

• To work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes are achieved, safeguarding is shared and to increase the persons access to support services.

•  Reducing barriers of accessing Primary Healthcare services, such as GP registration, attending hospital appointments and specialist health services by advocating for and supporting clients.
• Attending and coordinating client related MDT’s and attendance at meetings relating to the rough sleeping community

Project Lead - National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator

Contract: 18 Months Fixed-term contract, Full-time, contingent upon successfully securing project funding, target start date May 2026.

The role will report into the Programme Design and Management Team Lead, located in the Programme Operations Team, one of three support teams within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK.

The Programme Operations Team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.

About the Role

The Project Lead will provide overall strategic, technical and delivery leadership for the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, a multi‑country initiative supporting governments to translate high‑level political WASH commitments into credible, investable project pipelines.

The role combines senior project leadership with deep expertise in WASH institutional development and financing, ensuring the Accelerator delivers against its staged milestones, meets the expectations of international financing institutions, and positions partner governments to successfully enter formal investment appraisal pathways.

In this role, you will:

1. Strategic leadership and delivery oversight

• Provide overall leadership for the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator across all participating countries.
• Translate the approved delegated authority, staged approach and theory of change into effective, sequenced delivery.

2. WASH institutional development and financing leadership

• Lead the Accelerator’s approach to institutional strengthening, governance reform and financing readiness.
• Ensure robust diagnostics of sector constraints (institutional, financial, regulatory, macro‑fiscal and political economy).
• Support and guide the establishment or adaptation of the appropriate multistakeholder platforms.

3. Government and senior stakeholder engagement

• Alongside country teams, act as the primary senior interface with ministries responsible for WASH, finance, planning and local government.
• Support and reinforce high‑level political ownership of National Water Compacts and project pipelines.

4. Project governance, quality assurance and risk

• Establish and chair (or participate in) appropriate project governance and decision‑making groups.
• Maintain oversight of delivery quality, ensuring consistency and credibility across countries.

5. Team leadership and coordination

• Lead and manage the core delivery team, including technical specialists and country team embedded roles.
• Provide direction and mentorship to senior technical staff, including the WASH Institutional Management Specialist and the Public-Private Financing Specialist.

6. Learning, replication and strategic positioning

• Oversee synthesis of learning, guidance and tools emerging from the Accelerator.
• Contribute to organisational positioning on WASH financing, national compacts and mission‑oriented delivery.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Substantial senior‑level experience in WASH institutional reform, sector governance and financing.
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi‑country projects involving governments and financing institutions.
• Deep understanding of investment preparation processes, MDB appraisal expectations and blended finance approaches.
• Proven ability to operate credibly with senior government officials, donors and international finance actors.
• Strong strategic judgement, political sensitivity and leadership presence.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience leading or supporting national WASH compacts, sector reform programmes or investment accelerators.
• Familiarity with World Bank, African Development Bank or similar MDB processes.
• Experience shaping mission‑oriented or systems‑change programmes.

The Content & Social Media Manager plays a central role in delivering IAPB’s global communications ambition by producing high-quality content, strengthening IAPB’s digital presence, and supporting impactful public awareness campaigns. Working as a key member of the External Communications function, this role helps amplify IAPB’s voice across global health, development, policy, and public audiences.

Working closely with the Head of External Communications, the postholder manages day-to-day content creation and social media execution across IAPB’s channels, ensuring messaging is aligned, strategic, accessible, and compelling. They support global campaigns, such as Love Your Eyes, Every Story Counts, and the Global Summit for Eye Health, by producing content that humanises eye health, drives behaviour change, and elevates the lived experiences of communities worldwide.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Digital Content & Social Media Management

• Lead daily management of IAPB’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring content is strategic and audience focused. 
• Building on the strategy, deliver a year-round social media and content plan aligned to organisational priorities, campaigns, and global advocacy goals. 
• With the support of other team members brief high quality, platform specific assets including graphics, social cards, shortform videos, EDM content, toolkits, and campaign materials. 
• Deliver regular analytics reports, tracking performance trends, audience insights, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Support influencer-based activations—particularly on Instagram and TikTok—to normalise good eye health behaviours and encourage screenings

2. Content Development & Storytelling

• Develop creative concepts and content ideas for global moments, campaigns, op-eds, human-interest stories, and behaviour change messaging. 
• Write clear, compelling copy for blogs, press releases, social media, websites, campaign updates, and storytelling pieces. 
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all content, maintaining alignment with IAPB’s brand identity, strategic messaging, and global campaign voice. 
• Provide editorial support, including proofreading and content quality assurance across the communications portfolio. 

3. Campaign Activation & Member Tools

• Support development and delivery of global campaign assets for Love Your Eyes, Every Story Counts, and other awareness initiatives. 
• Produce user-friendly digital toolkits, templates, messaging guidelines, storytelling prompts, and ready to use social media materials for IAPB members. 
• Help maintain shared content libraries, ensuring members can easily find and adapt campaign materials. 

4. Cross-‑Organisational Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with global colleagues across advocacy, knowledge, membership, campaigns and events teams to ensure coherent messaging and integrated planning.

Education, Skills & Experience Required

Required:

• Strong understanding of social media approaches across major channels (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook).

• Experience creating and editing digital content for varied audiences, including visual and multimedia content for campaign activations

Public-Private Finance Specialist - National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator

Contract: 18 Months Fixed-term contract, Full-time, contingent upon successfully securing project funding, target start date May 2026

About the Team

The role will report into the Project Lead: National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, located in the Programme Operations Team, one of three support teams within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK.

The Programme Operations Team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.

About the Role

The Public and Private Finance Specialist will provide specialist technical leadership on WASH financing strategy, structuring and investor engagement within the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator.

The role is responsible for ensuring that priority WASH projects are financially credible, appropriately structured and aligned with the requirements of public, concessional and where relevant private finance providers, enabling formal entry into financing appraisal and investment pipelines.

In this role, you will:

1. Financing diagnostics and strategy (Stage 2)

• Lead or contribute to country‑level diagnostics of WASH financing constraints, including budget flows, fiscal space, creditworthiness, and investor risk perceptions.
• Analyse the balance between public, concessional, blended and potential private finance options.

2. Project prioritisation and financing alignment (Stage 3)

• Support the assessment and prioritisation of WASH project concepts against financing institution criteria.
• Advise on project scale, affordability and financial structuring options, with ambition for large‑scale (>$100m) investments where feasible.

3. Project structuring and investment readiness (Stage 4)

Lead financial inputs into full project development, including:

• indicative financing structures.
• proposed sources of finance.
• allocation of financial and non‑financial risks; and
• affordability and sustainability considerations.

4. Engagement with financing institutions (Stages 3–6)

• Support structured engagement with multilateral development banks, DFIs, bilateral financiers and philanthropic funders.
• Interpret and translate financing partner requirements into actionable guidance for government teams.
• Support progression of priority projects into formal concept review, pre‑appraisal or appraisal queues.

5. Public–private interface and blended finance (where relevant)

• Assess the potential role of private finance, guarantees or delegated management models within public‑led WASH investments.
• Advise on risk‑sharing mechanisms, viability support and blending approaches appropriate to country context.

6. Quality assurance, learning and guidance

• Contribute to internal quality assurance of financing diagnostics, project concepts and full project packages.
• Document lessons on WASH financing pathways, including what has and has not proved credible with financing institutions.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Strong professional experience in public sector, development or infrastructure finance, with a focus on WASH or related sectors.
• Demonstrated understanding of MDB, concessional and blended finance processes.
• Experience working with government counterparts on financing strategies or investment preparation, particularly ministries of finance.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financing issues clearly to non‑finance specialist audiences.
• Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
• Direct experience engaging with World Bank Group, AfDB or similar financing institutions.
• Experience of blended finance, guarantees or private capital mobilisation in infrastructure or public services.

• Experience working across multiple countries or fragile financing contexts.

The Role

As a Researcher, you will deliver research and analysis on forest and farm finance across the Global South, with a special emphasis on Latin America, working to strengthen sustainable finance models that support people, nature and climate goals.

A significant focus of the role will be designing and delivering action research projects, generating qualitative and quantitative evidence and applying appropriate research frameworks to deepen understanding of forest and farm finance.

Working with forest and farm producer organisations, you will analyse findings, develop new knowledge and produce research outputs that support the development of green value chains, improved access to finance and stronger self-generated finance models.

You will also co-ordinate collaborative projects with international partners, contribute to funding proposals and support communication and engagement activities that share research insights with wider audiences.

Additionally, you will:

- Support project planning, reporting and budget management
- Write and edit research outputs for publication and dissemination
- Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, funders and research networks

About You

To be considered as a Researcher, you will need:

• A solid research background with skills and experience evidenced by a track record of growing publications in your own field (e.g. research reports, policy briefs, tools or toolkits)
• Field research and in-country experience in forest and farm development work in Latin America
• Experience in research or in technical capacity development in relevant areas such as forestry or agroforestry, forest enterprise development, climate or development finance
• Experience of research team coordination, including from a distance
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Knowledge of institutions, actors, and current debates and research agendas in the field of forestry, agriculture and development
• An understanding of how to work effectively with partners in developing countries
• A relevant postgraduate degree in an area such as forestry, land use, economics, sustainable development or similar, or equivalent experience
•  Professional training and/or a certification in economics or access to finance for vulnerable communities
• The willingness to travel to developing countries

WASH Institutional Management Specialist - National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator

Contract: 18 Months Fixed-term contract, full-time, contingent upon successfully securing project funding, target start date May 2026.

About the Team

The role will report into the Project Lead: National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, located in the Programme Operations Team, one of three support teams within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK.

The Programme Operations Team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.

About the Role

The WASH Institutional Management Specialist will provide hands‑on technical leadership and delivery support to WaterAid country teams and governments participating in the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, with a particular focus on institutional arrangements and governance, delegated management models and implementation readiness.

The role bridges strategy and execution, supporting countries to design practical institutional governance, service delivery and management frameworks that underpin credible, finance‑ready WASH investments.

In this role, you will:

1. Institutional diagnostics and design

• Lead or contribute to detailed institutional and governance diagnostics at national and sub‑national levels.
• Analyse roles, mandates, incentives and capacities across ministries, agencies, utilities and service providers.
• Identify binding institutional constraints affecting project delivery and sustainability.

2. Management and delivery model development

• Support governments to design fit‑for‑purpose institutional and management models for priority WASH investments.
• Define delivery units, implementation arrangements and accountability frameworks aligned to investment requirements.

3. Integration with financing and project development

• Work closely with finance and project development specialists to ensure institutional arrangements meet lender expectations.
• Contribute to the preparation of investment‑ready project documentation, including institutional sections of concept notes and appraisal documents.

4. Country‑level facilitation and coordination

• Provide embedded or close‑support accompaniment to country teams and government counterparts.
• Facilitate multi‑stakeholder workshops and consultations focused on institutional reform and delivery models.

5. Quality assurance and learning

• Contribute to quality assurance of diagnostics, project concepts and full project packages.
• Capture and document practical lessons on institutional reform and management arrangements.

Requirements

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Strong professional experience in WASH institutional management, governance or service delivery reform.
• Practical experience working with government systems in low‑ and middle‑income countries.
• Understanding of how institutional arrangements underpin investment viability and sustainability.
• Strong facilitation, analytical and written communication skills.
• Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
• Experience contributing to MDB‑financed or large‑scale infrastructure programmes.

Shelter is seeking a proactive and organised Legacy and In-Memory Manager to work with delivering agreed income and engagement targets. This will involve recruiting, retaining and developing individual donors whilst maximising legacy and in-memory giving opportunities. You will support and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns including acquisition and stewardship communications, digital campaigns, telemarketing, events and professional press advertising. Furthermore, you will manage  web content and partnerships with free will providers. 

The role will involve leading the in-memory marketing programme, stewarding supporters and prospects through custom communications and acting as a first point of contact for enquiries. You will work collaboratively across Income Generation, internal comms and the brand teams, working to embed legacy messaging across the organisation and support with initiatives such as Shelter Will Week and build strong cross-team relationships. You will also provide essential administrative support managing budgets and invoices and you will have line manager responsibilities whilst ensuring all activity complies with relevant legislation and meets sector best practice.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience in legacy and/or in-memory fundraising, or transferrable skills within the charity or commercial sector.

You will bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. You will be highly organised and detail oriented and be able to manage a varied workload, balancing multiple deadlines and competing demands with a flexible and proactive approach.

Job Purpose  

Working in a team of three and reporting to the Foundation Director, you will support the effective and efficient grant making of the Goldsmiths' Foundation by managing its Proactive Grant Programmes and administering the Foundation's restricted funds. Proactive grants are closed to open application but are solicited for either regular or one-off grants. This role requires a strong understanding of vocational and technical skills in the jewellery-making, silversmithing and allied trade sector. 

Delivery of Proactive Grant Programmes 

• Support the Foundation Director and colleagues to implement and deliver Proactive Grants Programmes, aligned with the 2025-2030 Strategy. 

• Support the Foundation Director in implementing learning goals for the Programmes, collecting data and working with commissioned learning partners. 

• Manage relationships with charitable partners who regularly receive grants from the Foundation, particularly those working in the jewellery, silversmithing and allied trade sectors. 

• Manage one-off grants that are solicited by Foundation Trustees due to their strong alignment to Foundation Objects. 

• Support The Goldsmiths' Foundation Trustees and Advisory Group and administering its decisions. 

Management of Restricted Funds 

• Administer the Foundation's restricted funds including the Aiden Threlfall Charitable Trust, the Brian Wood Memorial Travel Scholarship, the Miller Fund/Binney Medal (including event administration of the annual Binney Lunch), the Martin Bowes Charitable Fund and The Silver Trust. 

• Manage grant applications and awards from these restricted funds in accordance with their specific terms and conditions. 

• Maintain accurate records and reporting on restricted fund activities. 

• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and legal obligations for each restricted fund. 

Management and Governance of Proactive Grant Programmes 

• Day-to-day management of regular grantees, ensuring effective communication and support. 

• Support the development of appropriate reporting and relationship requirements with regular grantees. 

• Prepare recommendations and reports for the Proactive Grant Programmes. 

• Manage and collate the reporting from charitable partners. 

• Prepare materials to support the Foundation Director in their work with The Goldsmiths' Foundation Trustees and Advisory Group with a goal to: i. commission the most relevant grants to meet the Foundations' Objects ii. drive greater Goldsmiths' Company Member engagement with The Goldsmiths' Foundation 

• Support the continued management of existing Proactive Programmes initiated before 2026. 

Communications and Networks 

• Support the Foundation Director to maintain a network of peer funders working in overlapping or related areas, particularly those focused on vocational and technical skills development.

• Contribute to collaborations (including with other funders) to increase the reach and impact of our proactive grant making.

• Support the development of content for web-based stories and social media posts. 

Community Engagement 

• Work with colleagues to identify opportunities for grant recipients to contribute to broader programmes and the promotion of charitable activities.
