National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum (NLCBF)
NLCBF is made up of over 130 local authority leaving care teams and aims to improve services and support for care experienced young people. At the heart of our work is our Young People’s Benchmarking Forum – ensuring that the voices and priorities of care experienced young people shape our work.
NLCBF’s main activities include running 9 hybrid events each year for leaving care professionals and care experienced young people; facilitating online events and workshops throughout the year and working to influence policy and decision makers in government and other public bodies.
The NLCBF team is made up of a core team of six people, eight sessional workers and a wider group of ‘Champions’ who are care experienced volunteers.
Job Description
The purpose of the Practice Lead role is to ensure that the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum remains up to date with the latest legislative, policy and guidance developments in leaving care, and stays at the forefront of best practice. The post holder will utilise this knowledge to share information, develop products and tools for members, and to deliver training, consultancy work and events to members, in order to achieve our aim of improving outcomes for young people leaving care..
The post holder will:
- Remain at the forefront of best practice and key trends in the leaving care sector.
- Work with the other Practice Lead and the NLCBF Manager to develop the policy and practice focus to support NLCBF members, leading on a number of topic areas.
- Support the running of engaging events for NLCBF member local authorities for sharing best practice, national updates and for networking.
- Work closely with the Co-production and Engagement Lead to ensure the voices of care experienced young people are shared throughout the work of NLCBF
- Actively research and develop a network of experts in the leaving care sector, fostering and maintaining these relationships so they can contribute towards achieving outcomes for the Forum.
- Actively engage with local authority members and non-members to understand their key successes and challenges, and develop strong relationships.
- Support the management of the day to day business of the NLCBF and work closely with the NLCBF Manager to ensure this provides value for money for members and makes the best use of resources.
- Provide expertise to NLCBF members, relevant Catch22 services and wider Catch22 staff and partners on practice issues and solutions for supporting young people leaving care.

Role Summary
We are excited to recruit a Project Associate with Lived Experience of mental distress to Neurodiverse Connection to co-lead on a Lived Experience Review commissioned by a NHS organisation, as part of their Quality Transformation Plan for Inpatient care.
The project seeks to understand the experience of patients (and their families/carers) who have been patients in out of area placements in the independent sector and also also seeks to gather the views and experiences of care from those within seldom asked groups to understand the inequalities experienced. This will be facilitated through either in-person or online interviews conducted by individuals with lived experience from Neurodiverse Connection.
The learning from the project will be combined with existing learning from Trust and presented to the Trust as a written report, alongside an in-person workshop to explore and reflect on the learning.
Role Description
- To co-lead the recruitment of participants, through liaising with NHS and private organisations, and utilising own networks.
- To co-lead the development of interview schedules and interactive feedback workshops.
- Organise and co-ordinate workshops with seldom heard groups and those with lived experience of out of area inpatient admission.
- Ensure participation in the project is accessible to all.
- To co-lead the data collection, ensuring quality and high levels of data governance.
- Conduct interviews with those in those participating in the lived experience review, both face to face and online.
- Facilitate group workshops with seldom heard groups.
- Conduct qualitative analysis of the data to identify themes, and incorporate these into feedback and recommendations to the commissioning NHS organisation.
- To provide written and verbal progress reports.

- To represent Neurodiverse Connection nationally, regionally and locally as appropriate and to promote the work that we do.

Freshwater Habitats Trust is the UK’s leading charity for all freshwaters. We are an evidence-based, conservation charity that works to protect UK and European freshwater wildlife through practical and innovative nature conservation projects.

Our research has highlighted the lag faced by the community sector in its transition to net zero – no longer burning fossil fuels – compared to the domestic housing sector. To respond to this challenge SIB is launching a Heat Development Company, which will work closely with community initiatives seeking to decarbonise their heating – moving from boilers that burn gas or oil – and engage with their communities to support them through the net zero transition. This role will be integral to the success of this new initiative, working closely with our customers and wider stakeholders to make the community case for electrification and away from gas. About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy CEO this is an exciting role supporting one of the UK’s leading social investors in our pioneering work on heat decarbonisation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do, is organised and has excellent attention to detail. Someone who is flexible with a “can do” attitude and who has a desire to get involved within a fast-paced team. Key responsibilities
1. To co-create and implement an effective community engagement strategy for the new Heat Development Company involving the three existing grantees on the programme, in particular giving consideration to the ways in which the Heat DevCo’s new investees can best work with local residents to make the case for electrification. To be the first point of contact for the pioneer grantees, and for the programme’s first set of development sites, ensuring that excellent communications are designed and implemented, and that questions and concerns are answered in a timely and informed way.
2. To manage any community consultants engaged as part of the programme, or working with project management partners.
3.To coordinate regular stakeholder engagement with key interest groups: grantees & investees and their communities, the social sector, and the decentralised energy sector. To be creative in developing these contacts, and to consider new and innovative ways of carrying out outreach and ongoing engagement reflecting the differential impact of analogue and digital methods of engagement, their reach into communities, and their replicability and cost.
4. To lead on qualitative research on decarbonisation and electrification for the Heat DevCo, in particular to support the Deputy CEO and research and data team in exploring the potential of heat as a common pool resource.
5. To work closely with the policy and communications team to ensure that stakeholder engagement reflects SIB’s policy priorities on decarbonisation and electrification, and that feedback from stakeholders is reflected in policy and communication outputs. To support the policy and communications team in its development of new policy and communication assets, and to work with the data team to incorporate the best evidence into outputs across SIB’s platforms. To work with external groups on the best approach to public information campaigns on electrification, and to ensure that SIB has a voice in wider efforts to encourage electrification in the UK.
6. To develop a calendar of useful events in heating decarbonisation and electrification, to attend relevant events or conferences and to ensure that the senior team prioritise the best set of opportunities to raise SIB’s profile and progress leads and partnerships. Through attendance to present the Heat Development Company, answering questions and reporting key feedback, ensuring that internal development work effectively reflects a wide set of views and experiences. To be an accessible and responsive contact point for SIB’s work on heat decarbonisation, taking a creative and inclusive approach to outreach and information sharing.
7. To support the coordination and project management of business development in community energy, heating and cooling, social investment fundraising and capacity building, supporting Business Development colleagues with relevant case studies, customer viewpoints and grassroots experience.
8. To provide regular and timely updates on the development of opportunities in heat decarbonisation and electrification to the senior team. These updates should both support effective information sharing across the organisation, and, in particular, reflect the grassroots and community perspective. This should enable SIB to make the best use of its resources and pursue its strategic priorities in an inclusive and accessible way.
9. To contribute to high quality bid responses for invitations to tender from funders, investors and other key client groups in heating, community energy, decarbonisation and electrification, to ensure that these are well-written and represent stakeholder and grassroots viewpoints.
10. To coordinate and contribute to a clear strategy and objectives for decarbonisation and electrification at SIB.

About the opportunity
The Associate Director of Risk Assurance will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective oversight, management, and mitigation of organisational risk. - Celebrate the achievements of brain injury survivors across the UK, promote the services that Headway UK offers and raise awareness of the prevalence of brain injury.
- Establish Headway as a leading voice in the area of brain injury, ensuring that relevant media outlets are presented with relevant information.
What you will do
- Obtain regular positive national and local media coverage for Headway
- Produce high-quality written materials for release to the media
- Communicate with and facilitate media coverage for independent Headway charities and volunteer-led branches, helping to raise their profiles locally
- Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity to enable the effective tracking of the charity’s reputation.
- Be the first point of call for all media enquiries and take appropriate action

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of approximately 90 animal protection organizations across 70+ countries united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past several years, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. OWA groups share tactics and resources to secure as many wins for animals as possible, specializing in institutional campaigning that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges.
As the Open Wing Alliance Grant Lead, you are accountable for overseeing the OWA’s grant and travel award programs, which provide funding to emerging farm animal protection groups around the world, empowering them to carry out cage-free and broiler campaign work. Your responsibilities include leading the grant application and review process, making funding recommendations, and regularly evaluating grantee progress. This position reports to the Senior OWA Projects Manager.
This is a full-time, remote position. This position requires domestic and international travel, equivalent to 3 or more trips per year.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the OWA’s annual grant cycle from start to finish; this includes collecting applications, leading the funding review process, consolidating feedback from the review team, and making funding recommendations. Conceive and implement improvements to the grant process to increase efficiency and impact.

Collaborate with OWA Regional Leads on the distribution of travel awards for each OWA summit, providing funding to assist OWA member groups with travel expenses.

Organize and lead meetings with grantees to evaluate progress. Develop clear guidelines for progress and financial reporting and build out systems and processes to increase accountability. Create an annual report on each grantee's progress, feedback, and overall success.

Continuously evaluate and enhance the OWA’s Grant Management System (GMS). Maintain up-to-date grant information in accordance with THL’s data privacy policy.

Collaborate with members of THL’s Legal and Finance teams to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant administration of program grants and travel awards. Develop written contracts in partnership with the Legal team, and maintain effective systems for payment processing.

Communicate effectively with OWA member groups in both written and verbal formats, answering questions, providing support, and gathering feedback to improve the grant program.

Ensure equitable access to OWA funding by providing clear and transparent guidelines, taking regional nuances into consideration in decision-making, and fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging.

Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with other funders in the farm animal welfare space in order to connect grantees with opportunities to further grow their influence, resources, and organizational capacity.

Collaborate with THL’s Development team to develop compelling content and provide reports and data to engage existing and potential donors. Support and participate in donor meetings to showcase the progress of the OWA’s grant program and the performance of beneficiary groups.

The annual compensation range for this role is $68,473- $83,689 USD, or £38,203 - £46,692 GBP. At The Humane League, we believe in maintaining a fair and equitable work environment for all employees. About Children Change Colombia
Children Change Colombia is a UK registered charity with 33 years' experience in defending children's rights in Colombia. Today we are the UK's largest charity working exclusively in Colombia. We work with children whose rights to a safe, happy childhood, and a fulfilling future, are threatened by poverty, inequality and violence. We work with the children most at risk, to keep them safe and defend their rights in the long term, to tackle neglected issues that few others address and to strengthen children's organisations.

Since 2020, we have tripled the number of beneficiaries and doubled our number of projects, geographical areas of work, and annual income —all while keeping administrative costs low.
In 2024 alone, our programs positively impacted the lives of 4,320 children and 1,920 adults in Colombia, plus 126 children from London, and their families. We also conducted three workshops with our local partners - online and in person - as part of our capacity-building programme. In 2024 we supported 7 local grassroots organisations with 11 different projects.
Purpose of the role:

To keep the Executive Director and Trustees informed on the charity’s financial status through the production of management accounts and other financial reports

To introduce and supervise the implementation of systems, procedures and controls to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s finances and maximise accountability.

To ensure that Children Change Colombia complies with its statutory obligations – specifically those relating to Charity Commission, Companie House and Inland Revenue.

Key Financial responsibilities
UK Finance:

Prepare annual consolidated statutory accounts, guaranteeing compliance with SORP requirements, liaising with external examiners, consolidating with Colombian accounts.

Prepare monthly management accounts, regular analytical reports on budget performance and cash flow forecasts for Executive Director (ED), Trustees and Treasurer at Finance Committee meetings, highlighting any specific areas of concern.

Attend Finance Committee and Board meetings.

Check and authorise bank payments and transfers in the UK office.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in helping us achieve this, combining data sources, developing dashboards and delivering reports as required to give us real-time insight into our supporter experience. They will proactively dive into the data, identifying opportunities and working with colleagues in the omnichannel team and stakeholders across the business to deliver these improvements across post, phone, email and SMS communications. They will lead on our testing approach, ensuring identified testing priorities are delivered in a coordinated way across audiences, products and channels to result in actionable insights and recommendations to take forward.

Now is an exciting time to join the team as we look to use insight to drive and develop our communications with supporters and improve the supporter experience. The successful candidate will play an integral role in helping us achieve this alongside exploring new and improved ways of delivering our stewardship, email automations and SMS campaigns.
With your experience of email marketing and engagement, you will play a key role in the designing, building, testing and delivery of email and SMS campaigns to the teams within Income & Engagement, to help support their marketing campaigns and appeals to our warm supporters.
You will:
Establish the ideal process and tools to meet Income & Engagement’s warm marketing and communication reporting requirements. Develop and maintain insight packs, bringing together insight from our Audience & Supporter Insight teams with recent performance data, to support cross-channel & product audience journey planning
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to plan, build, quality assure and report on email campaigns and email automations
- Use your knowledge and expertise to deliver SMS campaigns through dotdigital and Cymba, our primary SMS messaging tool.
- Provide training for teams on our email service provider (dotdigital).
- Embed email marketing skills and best practice across the organisation.
- Actively use reporting, analysis and insight to help departments develop and optimise campaigns.
- Support colleagues to test hypotheses and continuously innovate.
- Be a trusted expert and a critical friend to our fundraising teams and other colleagues.
- Play a crucial role in deepening understanding of Alzheimer’s Society’s supporters.
- Drive loyalty and sustainable growth across Alzheimer’s Society’s audiences.

ABOUT THE JOB
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and results-driven digital marketing professional with expertise in data analysis, social media, and content creation, working remotely within a tight-knit team. The role holder will co-develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all of our platforms, with a particular focus on enhancing our LinkedIn presence and growing ambassador groups to drive brand awareness and engagement in the Teaching Awards Trust and what we do. You will also play a key role in designing and delivering email marketing campaigns.
ABOUT YOU
· You will be a creative and results-driven digital marketing professional with at least 4/5 years of experience in data analysis, social media, and content creation.
· You will have excellent organisation skills with a strong attention to detail as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
· The ability to build strong, collaborative relationships both internally and externally is essential for you to be able to hit the ground running in this newly evolved role.
· You will be part of a very small, tight knit remote team.
· Overall, you will be looking for the opportunity to make a real difference in the job you do and to help support the aims of the trust.
· Experience in the education or charity sector would be highly advantageous
ABOUT OUR BENEFITS
A salary of £35-38,000 per annum. You will be home based with some need to travel for team meetings and other events. Annual leave is 25 days excluding bank holidays, Employer pension contributions of 6%, Learning and Development packages are also available.
