At Coram Voice we have a wealth of experience advocating on behalf of young people with disabilities, and recently expanded our work with children with disabilities through our Disability Outreach Project. We work side by side with some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society and reach out to those who have missed the support they need. About the Role

You will:

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.

Specific responsibilities:

• Collaborate with individuals and team members to provide trauma informed support to a caseload of adults and young people within community settings.

• Co-develop personalised support and/or safety plans with individuals, ensuring goals are meaningful, achievable, and shaped by the person’s own priorities and values.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records that reflect the support provided, using respectful, person-centred language

• Create regular opportunities for feedback, ensuring Cyfannol’s services are shaped by the voices and experiences of those supported.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.

The Role

In this role you will be:

· Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.

· Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.

· Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.

· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.

About You

· You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.

· You will be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

· You will be able to show empathy and be able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.

· It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products

· You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Engagement Manager to join our team in Dumfries and Galloway, working specifically in the West of the region. The Young Carers Lead will take responsibility for coordinating and delivering our young carers programme. This includes running two weekly sessions – one for ages 5–10 and another for ages 11–18 – with the support of our skilled sessional staff and colleagues.

The role involves a mix of face-to-face and online sessions, designed to meet the needs of young carers and to help us deliver on our strategic objectives:

• Enhancing life outside of caring: organising engaging weekly activities where young people can connect, have fun, and build friendships - from creative workshops and games nights to social activities - alongside occasional special events like beach outings, and our annual Christmas party.

• Supporting potential: tackling the educational inequalities faced by young carers, including university visits and skills-based workshops.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver two high-quality weekly sessions for young carers (5–10s and 11–18s).

• Coordinate trips, special events, and awareness-raising activities.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of delivering youth work sessions which have successfully engaged young people.

• Experience of designing rich and varied programmes of work that contribute towards the achievement of specific outcomes.

• Motivation to work with children and young people, and commitment to promoting their welfare.

• Ability to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships and boundaries.

• Emotional resilience when working with young people, including those who may display behaviours which challenge.

• A full driving licence, with the ability to travel locally to drop off resources to young carers.

Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)

Location: Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines). Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 21:00 - 09:00 on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. 

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants.
• Be a present member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who’ve experienced homelessness and may have complex needs. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs. What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency.
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role.

About the role

As Deputy Service Manager, you’ll support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery. You’ll be a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled and confident in their roles. This service supports residents who have experienced long term street homelessness with challenges such as mental health issues, substance use and alcohol dependency. You’ll help create a positive, supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive and residents can work towards recovery and greater independence.

You will be working within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service.
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed.
• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management.
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.
