This role plays a key part in delivering our fundraising strategy by connecting purpose-driven organisations with our mission to support children and families affected by parental mental illness. Role Purpose

This maternity cover role is for a strategic and hands-on Digital Communications & Marketing Lead to take ownership of our digital presence, storytelling and supporter communications, with a strong focus on driving  growth in engagement and income through digital channels.

You will lead the planning and delivery of digital communications and marketing activity, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms. You will design and deliver integrated digital campaigns that grow awareness, engagement, participation and fundraising income.

This is a hands on role and you will be the organisation’s main digital specialist during this period, working closely with the CEO and wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Communications & Marketing Strategy

• Lead the development and delivery of digital communications and marketing activity that supports organisational goals, fundraising targets and brand growth.

• Plan and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns across website, email and social media.

• Ensure a consistent, engaging brand voice across all digital touchpoints.

Content, Storytelling & Channel Management

• Own and manage all digital channels, including social media, website and email marketing.

• Create, schedule and manage engaging written, visual and video content to support campaigns, events and fundraising.

• Promote events and fundraising activity online to maximise reach and participation.

• Design and curate digital and print assets including campaign graphics, reels, posters, flyers and web imagery.

• Ensure all digital content is accurate, engaging and aligned with brand guidelines.

Digital Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

• Design, manage and optimise digital fundraising campaigns to grow income from individual supporters, communities and events.

• Use digital communications to drive donations, regular giving, event sign-ups and fundraising participation.

• Build and optimise supporter acquisition, retention and conversion journeys using insight and data.

CRM, Supporter Journeys & Digital Performance

• Lead on CRM management (Beacon), ensuring accurate data, segmentation and effective supporter journeys.

• Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and CRM dashboards to monitor performance and inform optimisation.

• Implement and manage marketing automation to enhance supporter experience and conversion.

Collaboration, Impact & Internal Communications

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to align digital communications with wider organisational priorities.

• Collaborate with the Programme Manager to gather impact data, stories and lived-experience content.

• Provide guidance and informal support to colleagues on digital best practice and supporter journeys.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital communications, digital marketing or digital fundraising in the charity sector. Demonstrable evidence of leadership and impactful delivery.

• Confident using WordPress, social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, fundraising platforms and Beacon CRM.

• Proven experience delivering successful digital campaigns that drive engagement and income.

• Strong content creation skills across written, visual and video formats.

• Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.

• Comfortable working independently within a small team.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve performance.

• Ability to travel to Huddersfield for in-person team days (2 per month).

Project Title: Supporting Peace Through Dialogue by Engaging the Leading Actors and Civil Society in Türkiye

Background

The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement in Türkiye and the region. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and political engagement.

Through its Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), the European Union is funding an 18-month programme on supporting inclusive dialogue and peacebuilding in Türkiye.

 

Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to design, set up, and operationalise a functional M&E framework that will enable systematic data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning throughout the project lifecycle.

DPI is looking for an experienced M&E consultant to conduct baseline and final evaluations of the project, as well as design all the monitoring and evaluation tools to meet our KPIs for the EU project.

The consultant will:

· Conduct baseline and endline evaluations of the project..

· Establish  monitoring and evaluation tools, and reporting systems.

· Ensure alignment with donor requirements and international M&E standards.

Key requirements

- Degree (or qualification) in M&E, Statistics, Development Studies, or comparable professional experience.

- At least 5 years’ experience designing M&E systems for NGO projects.

- Additional 2+ years’ experience working as an independent consultant.

- Knowledge and experience of M&E for EU projects.

- Strong experience with logframes, results-based management, and donor compliance.

- Proven skills in data collection tools and analysis software.

Job Description

Purpose of the role

Our PR & Media Manager is crucial to guiding our public story and scale up our media reach as we enter the final stages of our campaign to end bear bile farming in Vietnam and develop the profile of our founder and CEO Jill Robinson MBE. As the internal lead for global PR and media, you will cultivate strong relationships with colleagues in our Programmes and Fundraising teams to amplify their work through celebrity support, thought-leadership and media engagement.

Your main areas of responsibility include press office management (managing the media inbox, journalist and influencer liaison, writing press releases, and media monitoring , working with our international network of external PR specialists to prepare and deliver PR & Media plans for each of our key fundraising markets (UK, US & Aus.), preparing pitches, media releases and content for media outreach and building a library of case studies and fact files to demonstrate our impact. 

Working closely with our Celebrity Manager, your other key area of responsibility is developing and implementing creative media opportunities for our celebrity supporters to raise Animals Asia’s profile through earned, owned and shared digital platforms, print and broadcast media. You will possess the knowledge, skills, and creativity to help us raise awareness of Animals Asia and what we stand for, helping us grow our supporter base and meet our brand goals. You will be managed by our Global Director of Strategic Communication. 

Key duties:

Strategy and planning

• Development of creative campaigns that deliver high quality coverage to reach target audiences in line with Animals Asia’s organisational and communications objectives including fundraising, brand awareness, policy influencing and behaviour change.
• Utilise a range of appropriate tactics such as celebrity and influencer support, CEO profile building and subject matter expert thought leadership.

PR delivery

• Participate in the development and implementation of our thought leadership program, supporting our internal subject matter experts to publish on Linked In, contribute to earned media and participate in speaking opportunities.
• Preparing, publishing, moderating and reporting on social media content for PR and media purposes, including the identification and targeting of key influencers to support our campaigns share our content.
• Support and promote global campaigns, appeals and events with PR, including the development of press materials and media targeting and liaison.
• Participate in a program of activity to develop and build the profile of our CEO, Jill Robinson, as a key ambassador for Animals Asia.

Press office management

• Day to day running of the press office, including responding to media enquiries, drafting media releases, undertaking proactive pitch development, outreach to journalists and influencers, maintaining our database of media contacts and other general press office management.
• Leading on the creation and maintenance of our external events and key dates calendar to identify opportunities and clashes for PR.
• Keeping abreast of external events and news stories for reactive response and future planning.
• Identifying, monitoring and responding to any reputational and other reactive issues, including anything related to our celebrity ambassadors, in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Coordinate the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of all PR and media related activities, to assess and learn from the success of activities to feed into future plans as well as build the positive profile of the PR function across the organisation.
• Management of PR suppliers, such as Meltwater and MuckRack, to ensure a smooth and well-functioning press office with timely reporting and access to information.
• Maintaining the news and media sections of our website and media packs.

Content production and asset coordination

• Lead on the internal coordination of information, asset gathering and content production for proactive and reactive media activity, delivering outputs in an engaging, accessible and media appealing way, including with the development and maintenance of a case study and fact file library and the production of media-ready content, including with video, images, audio and copy.
• Develop and craft key messages that get cut through, in support of our campaigns.
• Draft high quality materials such as press releases, opeds, blogs, briefings, pitches and bios across all PR, including in close collaboration with our internal subject matter experts to develop our reputation and thought leadership in animal welfare.

Relationship management

• Day to day management of PR suppliers and partners, including our international network of external PR specialists to deliver PR campaigns.
• Internal liaison with colleagues throughout Animals Asia to gather information, check facts and develop content and pitches for earned media.
• Build relationships with key journalists, celebrities and social media influencers.

General

• Proactive attendance at meetings.
• Proactive in keeping up to date with developments in PR & Media.
• Represent Animals Asia at internal and external functions and events as required.

Person Specification:

• Minimum of three years’ experience of working in a busy press office or PR agency, including drafting key messages, press releases and responding to media enquiries.
• Strong news sense, knowledge of biodiversity and animal welfare is a plus.
• Strong experience of using a range of proactive and creative PR tactics to generate high quality and on message PR coverage, such as with celebrities, individual profile building, fundraising and policy influencing campaigns.
• Excellent experience and understanding of different types of PR opportunity and outlet and how to target them, such as broadcast, opinion, news, features and letters.

This role is home-based with mobile working. As such, you must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle or the ability to travel frequently across the region. 

There will be a requirement to attend in-person team meetings based in the area on a quarterly basis and other parts of the UK when our wider fundraising territory and department get together.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller with experience of running the day-to-day financial operations of a dynamic charity. We are an ambitious charity with ambitious goals that needs a Financial Controller to support the charity in achieving these goals. This is a broad role that will include a wide range of responsibilities. The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the daily and weekly tasks of the Finance team, as well as periodic tasks that are less frequent.  These tasks include (but are not restricted to) all aspects of bank and cash, raising of invoices, generating BACS payments, all Finance input into payroll, VAT returns, Gift Aid claims and response to ad hoc queries from our front-line staff.  The Financial Controller managers one Finance Assistant and reports into the Head of Finance. The Head of Finance leads on budget setting, forecasting and monthly / quarterly / annual reporting, and the Financial Controller will support where needed.  The Financial Controller will also be the lead contact with external auditors following year end.

The Head of the CEO Office will provide leadership to the CEO Office team and serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This role will be responsible for the three specialist areas which form the CEO Office: People Services, Governance and Executive Support.
 
This role is responsible for delivering the People Services function for the organisation, including the development and implementation of People Services strategies, plans, policies and processes. You will lead the People Services team in delivering high quality support and advisory services.
 
This post requires the individual to understand, anticipate and react to the organisation’s changing needs, to think critically, make decisions, and offer solutions to problems with expert professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality. To implement Butterfly Conservation’s (BC) objectives through leadership of the CEO Office team, setting and managing budgets, targets and workplans while inspiring and enabling staff to achieve their best.
 
Specific Tasks:
 
Delivering the People Services function
 
Responsible for delivering a high-performing People Services function ensuring all interactions adhere to BC’s inclusion and organisational values. To lead, manage and be accountable for the function, including:

• Aligning workload with BC’s Strategy and annual business plans.
• Advising, coaching, and enabling the People Services team to deliver effectively and create an engaging, supportive, and empowering environment.
• Ensure monthly workforce reporting systems are in place and actions followed up where required.
• Lead on Employee Health and Wellbeing initiatives, promoting a culture of engagement and self-responsibility.
• Implement, monitor and evaluate performance management systems and processes.
• In conjunction with the CEO and SLT, procuring external specialist support and/or legal advice as needed to minimise risk to the organisation.
• Act as the escalation point for complex employee casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy, ensuring that the SLT members’ roles remain objective and that safe formal processes can occur if required.
• Account management for providers of BC’s People Services Workforce Systems, ensuring Service Level Agreements are met and partnership opportunities are maximised including Occupational Health, EAP services, Hireful and BreatheHR.
• Oversee and manage ‘Charity Learn’ BC’s online learning management system, to include setting up annual statutory training for all staff and creating bookable in-house training sessions as required.
• In conjunction with the CEO and SLT, develop and implement a People Strategy to include areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, and staff engagement.

 
Governance, Risk and Management Information & Reporting
 
Accountable for the smooth running of BC’s core governance activities and trustee meetings, including:

• Overseeing the risk and audit process for the CEO Office, bridging as needed between the Finance Directorate and the CEO Office Directorate.
• Ensuring all core legal requirements are met and that the trustees comply with their duties in accordance with the Articles of Association.
• Ensuring relevant statutory returns are submitted to Charity Commission and Companies House.

 
Executive Support

• Ensure the support function to the CEO and SLT is delivered efficiently and effectively, including direct line management of the Executive Assistant to the CEO and SLT PA’s.

 
Management and Development of Team members
 
Responsible for managing a team of five direct reports and undertaking all People Manager duties, including:

• Setting objectives, workload planning, holding 121 meetings and regular reviews.
• Conducting Performance Development Reviews and giving timely direction and feedback.
• Building engagement within the team and creating an environment of trust and wellbeing.
• Coaching and developing team members to ensure professional and personal growth and career development and supporting any training needs.
• Role modelling people management in line with BC’s values and competency framework, setting a good example from the CEO Office.

 
Strategy, Planning and Budgeting
 
Working with the CEO and SLT on the annual and long-term business cycles, including:

• Supporting with the creation of BC’s Strategy as required.
• Creating annual Directorate work plans to deliver actions and outcomes in line with BC’s strategic priorities ensuring teams within your responsibility have clarity and direction.
• Working with Finance to ensure that the function has adequate budget to match the work plans and supporting with budget refresh and reforecasting.
• Supporting the Directorate with workforce planning and resource management as required.
• Responsible for the CEO Office budget.

 
Relationship building, partnering and culture development,
 
Operating as a strong ambassador for BC and the CEO by:

• Cultivating and nurturing excellent working relationships both internally with all colleagues and trustees, and externally with branches, volunteers, partners, suppliers, funders, and sector networks.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Workforce Data Analyst* to join on a fixed term contract until September 2026. This is a remote, home-based role, working full-time, 35 hours per week.

As Workforce Data Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to make a long-term impact in one of the most dynamic and fast-growing charities in the sector. Your role will be critical in developing an approach to workforce planning that will enable us to deliver our ambitious strategy Help and Hope.

You will work closely with the People and Business leadership teams, using insight to shape strategies, optimise workforce planning, and ensure our People practices are aligned with both internal goals and external market dynamics. Providing expertise in workforce analytics and planning, you’ll be a trusted expert who enables stakeholders to make long term, strategic decisions about the size, shape and mix of their teams.

This role will focus on using predictive analytics to identify workforce trends, benchmark against the market and answer the important ‘so what’ questions – turning raw data into strategic action.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have 3+ years’ experience in HR/People Analytics, data science or workforce planning.
