About this role

In this role, you will lead the management of a portfolio of trusts and foundations with the potential to make significant gifts. You will focus on building strong, long‑term relationships at the six‑ and seven‑figure level, through inspiring proposals and effective stewardship.

 You will:

· Research, identify and cultivate trust and foundation funders to maximise income

· Manage a diverse portfolio of new and existing Trust and Foundation funders

· Develop and submit high-quality, tailored 6 and 7 figure funding applications

· Produce clear, meaningful impact reports including outcomes, learnings and stories

· Deliver agreed income targets, contributing to team and organisational fundraising goals

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of Trust Fundraising.

You will have experience of:

· Cultivating 5, 6 and 7 figure proposals

· Building a trusts pipeline, ensuring opportunities are organised and acted on appropriately

· Disability issues or projects tackling disability inequality is beneficial but not essential

· Able to write strong, persuasive narrative for five, six and seven figure funder proposals and reports

· Strong financial skills including budgeting and grant reporting

· Knowledge of Trust and Foundation funders and trends

· Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively

· Able to work positively with internal and external individuals and teams.

NOVA provides trauma-informed, person-centred support to UK Armed Forces veterans who are at risk of, or already in contact with the criminal justice system. NOVA operates across England (as Op NOVA), Scotland and Wales. We are now developing the service in Northern Ireland.

The Caseworker for NOVA Northern Ireland will manage and support a caseload of veterans, providing emotional and practical support across a range of factors including mental health and wellbeing, social stability, housing and employability. They will be working in collaboration with local partners to reduce reoffending.

The Caseworker for NOVA Northern Ireland will work in the community, in partnership with the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), the Probation Board for Northern Ireland (PBNI) and other local partners to provide support to veterans at all stages of the justice pathway: pre-arrest, point of arrest, court process, custody, and transition back into the community.

What the job involves

Be part of shaping a vital new service supporting men affected by the sexual wellbeing challenges associated with prostate cancer and its treatment.

Working as part of our Specialist Nurse team, and alongside our new Sexual Wellbeing Service Manager, you’ll provide personalised, compassionate support to men and their partners, helping them navigate their sexual health and wellbeing including treatment side effects such as erectile dysfunction.

You’ll deliver this support across our helpline channels; phone, webchat, WhatsApp and email, offering expert, unbiased information that empowers people to make informed judgements. You’ll also work with men referred from NHS partners as part of our new Movember funded service, focusing on those who need timely, specialist intervention.

You’ll help shape how this service grows. That includes:

· supporting the development of targeted sexual wellbeing resources

· contributing clinical insight to service improvements and new projects

· helping to deliver online group support, patient classes and webinars

· working with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK so that the latest clinical knowledge informs our wider activities, from education sessions for clinicians to our written health information

· representing the charity at external events where needed

· collecting and recording data to help us understand impact and continually improve

This role blends hands on support with the chance to influence a pioneering new approach to sexual wellbeing for men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll be part of a supportive, expert clinical team and will have ongoing opportunities to develop your practice.

What we want from you 

You’ll be a registered nurse with experience working at NHS Band 6 or equivalent, and you’ll bring a real passion for improving outcomes for men living with and beyond prostate cancer. You’ll already have experience supporting patients with sexual wellbeing needs, whether through erectile dysfunction clinics, sexual health services, oncology or urology pathways, and feel at ease talking openly and sensitively about issues like erectile dysfunction, intimacy and treatment related changes.

You’ll be an excellent communicator who can explain complex clinical information clearly, whether you’re on the phone, responding to a WhatsApp message or delivering a webinar. You’ll be comfortable working unsupervised, while also being a supportive, collaborative team member.

We’re looking for someone who:

· is confident supporting men and their partners through sensitive, often emotional conversations

· can work calmly and professionally across multiple digital channels

· is curious and keeps their clinical knowledge up to date

· is organised, adaptable and able to manage a varied caseload

Governance

Line Management

• Work with Trustees and Directors to support the Branch Team to deliver the branch’s volunteering, outreach and fund-raising strategies
• Provide effective line management and leadership to the staff team by managing all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, setting objectives and managing performance.
• Line manage the Business Support Officer, Volunteering Coordinator, Recruitment and Training Coordinator and Fundraising and Events Officer, Trusts and Foundatons Officer and other roles that may from time to time be established
• Act as a role model to staff and colleagues by demonstrating exemplary standards of behaviour, a positive attitude, and high levels of personal performance.
• Identify and develop talent within the team that can be fostered, offering opportunities for personal and career growth where appropriate.
• Work with the Branch Leadership Team to support all staff activities.

Communications

• Work with the Director and Deputy Director for Communications and relevant staff members to support delivery of the branch Communications Plan. This will include coordinating internal and external communications as well as maintaining good relationships with volunteers, partners and other Samaritans branches and the Samaritans Charity.
• Maintain relationships with the Samaritans Central Charity in relation to media activity.
• Work with Director to ensure the Branch is represented on suicide prevention partnerships and involved in strategies with local councils and other organisations within the seven boroughs covered by the branch.
• Work with Branch Leadership Team to ensure the Branch is appropriately represented the branch at external events.

Facilities and Office Management

• Oversees the management of the building on behalf of and in consultation with the Trustees and the Office Manager
• Take overall responsibility for the contracting of services to the organisation
• Take responsibility for compliance with Health and Safety Regulations

1. The basic hours of work are 35 hours per week, spread over five working days. There will be a need to work some evenings and weekend days, so flexibility is essential. The core responsibilities and duties should be carried out during weekdays.

Fundraising

About the role

The Registration manager leads the day to day delivery of membership and registration services, ensuring that applications, renewals, declarations, resignations and member records are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with procedures. The role is responsible for smooth operations, CRM accuracy, and ensuring members have a positive experience.

You will manage and support a team of 4 Registration officers, oversee customer service standards, monitor workloads, and keep processes up to date.
