The Role 

The CSJ Foundation is looking for a Regional Portfolio Manager (North) to join its Portfolio team to help grow and professionalise it’s offering to charities and donors alike. The CSJF has big ambitions for its work with small charities over the next 3 years, central to this work is our Portfolio team. Based in the north of England (ideally north of Sheffield), the post-holder will be responsible for delivering first-rate charity due diligence on some of the best small charities in the UK. In this role you will use tech solutions to drive insights and understanding about CSJF’s work with charities, in addition, the post-holder will gather intel from frontline charities to create insights to inform the CSJ’s policy work. The post-holder will also seek to generate interesting media stories. The post holder will help to generate new income for the CSJF through multiple streams. The post-holder will work towards pre-agreed targets to grow the CSJF’s work, fully supported by the Managing Director and other colleagues. The Regional Portfolio Manager will hold responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with multiple charities based in the North of England, engaging in conversations with local organisations and individuals, to ensure that the CSJF’s work is driven forward effectively. 

The Person 

• Possessing the skills and aptitude to develop new policies and practices for delivering charity/portfolio services
• Interest in developing relationships with charity leaders, understanding their work and impact
• Proficiency for using and interpreting data, creating meaningful insights from gathered data about charities, philanthropy and the voluntary sector
• Understanding of systems and technology that can be used to interpret, analyse and present data
• Some proficiency with presenting information effectively using tools like Canva
• The ability to engage with stakeholders including business leaders, researchers, HNWs, and CEOs

Main Responsibilities 

Responsibilities for this post include:

• Be a leading member of the CSJF’s portfolio team helping to professionalise and enhance our charity due diligence work
• Helping generate insights from charities to contribute to recommendations in CSJ policy reports
• Work with colleagues to develop a first-class data-input and reporting platform (or database) of charities to monitor their impact and activities
• Use this data to generate insights and presentations to showcase our work
• Interpret data to create insights about charities, philanthropy and the voluntary sector
• Use tech solutions to enhance our data analysis and presentation ability
• Use of presentational tools like Canva (and others) to create information packs for internal and external stakeholders
• Work alongside the Comms team to deliver mainstream media stories generated from frontline insights from the Northern charities
• Responsibility to generate new income for the CSJ Foundation
• Become the internal expert and ‘go-to’ person for 2-3 policy areas connected to CSJ’s research
• Streamline and maintain network of charity contacts across all pathways and then connect the best charities to the CSJ policy team
• Grow and maintain network of regional funders and supporters
• Steward relationship with CSJF Founders Club
• Host visits, events and forums to glean insights from frontline charities based in the North of England
• Support the CSJ Awards application process and judging
• Use the Awards process to onboard new charities

You'll be organised, articulate and credible, with a real appreciation of different budget holders within companies who may be interested in supporting Dogs Trust, and an understanding of different types of corporate partnerships.

In addition, you'll have demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and negotiation skills, and you'll have the ability to write clearly and concisely, and to tailor written style to the needs of different audiences.

The team build multi-year partnerships with businesses consisting of multiple fundraising mechanisms including, but not limited to, corporate donations, cause related marketing, employee engagement and volunteering, charity of the year, and sponsorship.

About the role

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build impactful partnerships and contribute towards systems change. 

About you

· To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. 

· You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. 

· You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may be considered to have ‘complex needs’, with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

· You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. 

· You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and housing led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.

About the Role 

As Partnerships Manager: Changemakers, you’ll lead the team that supports HOST’s global community of hosted partners (HPs). You’ll oversee all Community Support activity, ensuring partners receive the clear, responsive, and values-led service that enables them to focus on making change happen.

• Work with Communications to deliver partner-facing materials, including the Project Hosting Bulletin.

Required Experience 

• 5+ years' experience in operations, partnerships, or programme delivery within a not-for-profit, social enterprise, or international NGO. 

• 3+ years' experience managing partner or client relationships, ideally across multiple regions or cultures. 

• 2+ years' experience leading and developing a small team, including setting goals, coaching, and performance management.

We’re looking for a supportive and proactive Regional Centre Manager who can enable our passionate and committed London team to deliver an excellent service for the client gardeners.

Confident business development skills are needed to identify new partnerships and expand our programme delivery to ensure the continued sustainability of the centre.

About the role

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build impactful partnerships and contribute towards systems change. 

About you

· To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. 

· You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. 

· You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may be considered to have ‘complex needs’, with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

· You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. 

· You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and housing led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.

The Role

The HR Manager will operate across the full range of HR generalist functions spanning the staff hire to retire cycle, supporting members of the team who lead specialisms within this (such as recruitment, onboarding, reward and learning and development) to ensure seamless service design and delivery. As a key contact for all HTB Group Entity COOs, Heads of Department (HoDs) and Line Managers, the HR Manager will consult and agree, in liaison with the Head of People appropriate action and support for entity leaders and their teams in all operational HR matters. They will work alongside other senior members of the People Team to provide advice and support that is pragmatic and culturally appropriate while remaining at all times fully legally compliant. The HR Manager is likely to line manage one or two members of the team and will take the lead in certain areas, skill set dependent.

The Key Responsibilities

• Build healthy, dynamic relationships with entity leaders and managers to continually develop ways of working that fit entity-specific requirements in line with core HTB Group policies and procedures.
• Maintain a knowledge of best practice compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements to support appropriate risk management relating to staff employment and personnel management.
• Oversee complex employee relations cases, ensuring resolution aligns with organisational values and legal compliance.

• Ensure the appropriate and comprehensive documentation of key meetings and discussions between staff, line managers and the People Team regarding HR issues.
• Assist all levels of management with the performance management process, disciplinary and redundancy processes, and probationary period responsibilities.
• Work alongside HR Operations to support delivery of the core HR annual agenda. Lead strategic initiatives in partnership with the Head of People, contributing to the design and execution of group-wide HR strategies.
• Working with the senior People team develop relationships with external providers of benefits and services for the HTB Group.

• Support on annual budget setting and show good stewardship the resources available to you.
• Contribute to the ongoing review and update of operating processes to ensure continuous improvement of the team’s service provision.
• Report progress and people / staff analytics to senior management to facilitate effective decision making.
• Create proactive and effective programmes for upskilling HoDs and Line Managers in their understanding and handling of the full range of employee relations issues.
• Support and contribute to the ongoing growth of our Learning and Development offering.
• Will play an integral part in the recruitment and onboarding process.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior HR Manager to deliver key aspects of the People Team function, providing mutual support, and stepping in when needed to ensure continuity and effectiveness.

The Right Candidate

• Significant expertise in generalist HR practice, including operating at HR Manager level, with a proven ability to lead and influence across both strategic and operational HR functions.
• CIPD qualified Level 5 or equivalent qualification. Chartered Member of the CIPD.
• Credibility with line managers and excellent relationship building skills; a strongly people-focussed stance with the ability to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and case-handling.
• The highest integrity, sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Unflappable, tenacious attitude that allows the role holder to work effectively in a dynamic and flexible context.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employee relations, with a strong track record of managing complex cases in alignment with legal standards and organisational values.
