The opportunity:

You will play an important role in Better Society Capital’s digital and investment operations, helping ensure that our investment data is complete, accurate, and ready to support decision-making across the organisation. As an Investment Data Officer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the quality of BSC’s investment data, both historical and ongoing, through careful review of fund documentation and the systematic entry and validation of information.

This is a detail-oriented role that requires an ability to gain a strong understanding of financial and investment concepts, combined with precision and rigour in data handling. You will work closely with colleagues in the Middle Office and Investment functions to improve and maintain our investment datasets, supporting a range of internal and external reporting needs. Your work will form the foundation for data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and strategic insight across the organisation.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of investment data within BSC’s systems and databases, ensuring information is complete, reliable, and consistently structured.

Core Responsibilities

•  Data Entry and Validation: Maintain core investment data, by inputting new investment data accurately into BSC’s systems (e.g. Salesforce and Excel), ensuring that records are complete, consistent, and up to date.

• Document Review: Extract relevant data points from a range of fund documentation (e.g. investment agreements, fund reports, and financial statements), applying financial knowledge to identify and interpret the correct information.

• Data Cleaning and Migration: Review, clean, and standardise historical investment data to align with current data models and reporting structures.

• Research and Data Sourcing: Conduct desk-based research to identify and input publicly available data for funds, intermediaries, and investees (e.g. company information, financial figures, impact data).

• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect data; support the implementation of data quality standards and validation processes.

• Collaboration and Support: Work with colleagues in the Middle Office and Investment functions to clarify data definitions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure a shared understanding of investment information.

• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation on data definitions, sources, and processes, contributing to a consistent and transparent data environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Deep knowledge and understanding of impact investing in the UK

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong understanding of, or ability to upskill quickly in, key financial and investment concepts and data points.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with experience managing structured datasets in Excel, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. The role

We’re seeking an Individual Giving Officer to join our creative and fast-paced Individual Giving team following a promotion within the team! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into a career in Individual Giving fundraising, or to expand your existing knowledge into more areas of Individual Giving in a varied role. 

This is an exciting time to join Pancreatic Cancer UK. With an ambitious five-year strategy to double both our income and survival rates, Individual Giving is a key focus in achieving this goal, so you’ll play an important role in acquiring and stewarding donors – helping ensure that everyone with pancreatic cancer can live long and well. We’re passionate about delivering it, but we can’t do it alone. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the delivery of acquisition and retention campaigns and optimising supporter journeys for our priority audiences across a range of channels, including digital, direct mail and telemarketing. 
• Ensuring we meet our ambitious income targets by supporting on key income streams including regular giving, in memory, cash, gaming and the online shop.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Support the team with key administrative processes to ensure effective stewardship of our supporters. 

About You 

• Previous experience in an Individual Giving role or similar fundraising position, with a good working knowledge of fundraising best practice, having supported a range of campaigns. 
• Can work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, managing conflicting deadlines and being proactive in raising risks and concerns.  
• Ability to work cross-team, building effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers. 
• Strong communication skills when liaising with supporters to provide an audience-first experience.

Qualifications, skills and experience

Essential

· Have secured and successfully managed income-generating partnerships with companies that have achieved outstanding results for a purpose driven mission.

· Have worked across the new business process including, successfully identifying, researching, and securing new business opportunities, developing partner / supporter offers and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.

About Beyond the Streets

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centered support, provide training for the third sector and statutory professionals, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience. Our training and partnership work seeks to equip professionals to understand the sex industry, particularly survival sex, and to support them to engage with women selling sex in a trauma-informed way.

You will be joining a small dedicated team of anti-corruption experts and campaigners for this busy, varied and multi-skilled role. We have a full programme of work for the year ahead with projects on illicit finance, political integrity, and corporate accountability for financial crime. 

Candidates should be exceptional all-round communicators, with significant experience in achieving impact through a range of channels from digital and social media to print, broadcast and events. They will have a track record of driving communications efforts to achieve campaign or policy objectives, as well as experience of developing messages for a wide range of audiences, and translating complex expert subject matter into newsworthy content. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive, a strategic thinker, an excellent writer and able to apply their skills and experience across a range of different communications channels. They will also have an interest in corruption and its impacts at home and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Spotlight’s day to day communications and public messaging to ensure we achieve real reforms and impact in tackling corruption and protecting UK democracy. 

• Secure strategic and influential media coverage by developing and maintaining relationships with journalists, developing ideas for stories, and identifying key communication opportunities to get Spotlight’s messages across, including by monitoring daily news.

• Build Spotlight’s reach and influence online with target audiences (politicians, civil servants, journalists, civil society, and funders) by maintaining Spotlight on Corruption’s website, social media accounts and mailing lists, and working with colleagues to develop engaging content.

• Develop newsletters, press releases, website copy, social media posts, and other communications materials, including scripts for, as well as filming, videos on Spotlight messages that appeal to different audiences.

• Develop a communications strategy for the organisation to implement its three year strategy which builds and secures Spotlight’s reputation as a leading anti-corruption organisation and update that strategy regularly by monitoring developments in the communications and media landscape, as well as the effectiveness of Spotlight’s press coverage, and social media / other communications channels.

• Work with our fundraiser to communicate Spotlight’s work to current and potential funders, and other stakeholders. 

• Oversee design of Spotlight outputs including reports and briefings to ensure they are delivered to a high standard which effectively communicates their findings. 

• Undertake other activities to support the organisation including: liaising with comms professionals in other anti-corruption NGOs; and providing support to the director and wider organisation as required. 

Relevant skills, competences and experience

Person specification - essential criteria:

• Significant experience of using communications to deliver meaningful impact.

• A solid understanding of how communications can be used to influence policy makers and contribute to fundraising.

• Significant experience of securing strategic media coverage, with an excellent understanding of the current UK media landscape, including what makes a successful news story and what delivers impact.

• Ability to develop sharp messaging, translate complex issues to a media audience, and tailor messages for different audiences. 

• Significant experience writing and editing communications materials such as articles, website content, reports, video scripts, and press releases.

• Experience of using social media, websites and/or newsletters to achieve communication goals and target key audiences.

• Proven track record of being proactive and using own initiative while maintaining strong communication with team members. 

• Strong organisational, IT and administrative skills.

• Experience of developing and implementing successful communication plans.

Person specification - highly desirable - strong candidates will likely have one or more of the following:

• Experience of developing digital content including videos.

• Experience of designing and formatting reports and communicating data and information using infographics and data visualisation.

• Knowledge of and/or relationships with key UK journalists that might cover corruption issues.

• Detailed understanding of anti-corruption and/or economic crime issues, including their impact on governance, democracy and development, or an understanding of how to communicate complex legal processes and arguments effectively.

Working arrangements

Full-time, 35 hours per week. Working from home required, but with one day a week in the office near London Bridge. Must be based in or near London. We support flexible working arrangements and operate a nine day fortnight. Attendance at networking events and being on-call for media work outside of office hours occasionally required.

The Role

The Youth Adventure Trust's outdoor challenge events are a vital source of funding for the charity, and the relationships we build with our participants and corporate partners are more important than ever. This is where you come in.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle. 

Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.

The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events.

About You

You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:

• Event Expertise: A proven track record in delivering successful fundraising or challenge events.

• Agility: The ability to think on your feet and adapt plans dynamically when situations change on the ground.

• Leadership Skills: Experience managing staff or volunteers and the ability to motivate a team.

The Role
As part of our strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated individual to manage our newly formed Data function, as Data and Insights Manager. This is a hands-on managerial role, which will contribute to both the immediate data management requirements and lead on the development of the longer-term Data and Insights Strategy for SCAA.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in embedding a culture of data-driven decision making, using insights and analysis to support future growth, with a particular focus on fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement. The Project Manager will then work with stakeholders across the organisation to develop an implementation plan for agreed measures.

In addition to this, there are other projects and initiatives that the Project Manager has the opportunity to support depending on their skills and experience. This might include, for example, developing and managing the Foundation’s outreach plan, shaping our approach to supporting Early Career Researchers from backgrounds under-represented in research careers, and actions that develop and sustain our relationships with the Black researcher community. 

As well as your experience of working in grant giving organisations, you will be a skilled project manager, with responsibility for scoping, planning, managing dependencies, risk assessment and budget. You will have a strategic view of the need to align and balance our activities to improve the fairness of our grants processes with other organisational priorities.

You will also have excellent stakeholder management skills, working with stakeholders from across the organisation (and at different levels of seniority) to ensure that appropriate collaboration and consultation have informed this review.

You will be familiar with other research funders and networks, be able to work proactively and independently, and be enthusiastic about how equity, diversity and inclusion can be embedded into all areas of your work.
