Fine Cell Work is a UK- based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise which makes beautiful handmade products in British prisons. For over 25 years we’ve been transforming the lives of people in prison and prison leavers, one stitch at a time. Our unique process boosts our stitcher’s self-worth, instils accountability, and fosters hope.

Collaborating with world-renowned designers to create one-of-a-kind, limited-edition products, we support people in prison and prison leavers to finish their sentences with work skills, money earned and saved, and the self-belief to rebuild meaningful, independent, crime-free lives. By providing purposeful activity to prepare prisoners to successfully reintegrate into the community, we are working to improve prisoner’s skills and well-being. This is key to reducing recidivism. 

The Role: 

The Fundraising & Events Officer will provide administrative assistance with grants and donor fundraising and the logistics for events. Working alongside the Development Manager and the Founding Director you will support identifying and managing donor opportunities, and the research and support of applications to Trusts and Foundations. It is a diverse and varied role and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to build a solid foundation in fundraising and events. 

This is a results-driven role with the postholder driving planned income growth by establishing, enabling, and inspiring events, building relationships and maximising fundraising efforts. As this is a people facing role, you will be working with supporters over the phone, online, in writing and face to face, with the aim of helping donors receive the ultimate supporter journey. 

You will require excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network, build relationships and influence both internally and externally, with the confidence to speak publicly about the work of the charity. To be successful in this role, you should possess exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication abilities – including good writing skills, and a passion for making a difference. In addition, experience with fundraising, donor stewardship, event planning and organisation and CRM systems will be highly valued. 

Your work will be essential in generating the income needed to support our initiatives, grow our donor base, and provide vital services to support our mission of rehabilitation.

Fine Cell Work’s office in Battersea is run by a team of 15 staff (FTE) supported by 191 volunteers, 116 of whom teach in prisons (volunteer figures for 2024). 

Fundraising and earned income are fundamental requirements for FCW, and all staff are involved in fundraising and earned revenue activities. 

Principal Accountabilities for the Core Job: 

1. Ensure all the necessary administration to support fundraising including recording all donations and potential contact information on Salesforce, thanking and reporting to all event attendees and donors. 
2. Assistance in the planning, setting up and logistics of all events including attending events as required (includes occasional out of office and out of hours commitments). 
3. Establish and maintain donor contacts on the database, and, with the Development Manager, coordinate donor communication and planning. 
4. Prepare donation quarterly reports and report post event on financial and potential contact outcomes and lessons learnt. 
5. Build and support our individual giving Champions programme through events and regular communications. 
6. Work with the Founding Director in research to support grant applications and assistance in making applications to small grant–making organisations. 
7. Prepare information for reports to Trusts and Foundations and major donors, creating a fundraising dashboard to include uploading and managing reporting and grant deadline dates on Salesforce including the establishment of a reporting procedure for existing grants makers. 
8. Working with the Development Manager, ensure there is sufficient and appropriate fundraising events to meet the annual donations targets through events. 
9. With the Executive Director and the Development Manager, support the logistics for event committees including assisting in identifying potential Chairs and committee members and working with the event hosts. 
10. Support the Development Manager to expand FCW’s fundraised revenue through developing event sponsorship opportunities and other forms of event revenue (ticket sales, raffles etc). 
11. Supported by the Finance Director, set up and manage the annual budget for expenditure and income from events. 
12. Any other duties as required from time to time to support the work of the charity.

The Homeownership Assistant will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Homeownership team, helping to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to leaseholders, shared owners, and freeholders.

The postholder will be responsible for managing key processes and correspondence related to leasehold, shared ownership and freehold management, as well as income collection, and customer engagement. • Provide comprehensive administrative support for homeownership services, including managing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, handling customer queries, and assisting in policy development.
• Handle service charge-related queries and collaborate with finance teams to prepare accurate service charge estimates and actuals.
• Manage the recovery of rent, service charges, and arrears from leaseholders and shared owners, including setting up payment plans, handling legal action when necessary, and providing regular debt reporting.
• Support legal and complex homeownership matters by processing legal notices, assisting with consultations and disputes, maintaining accurate records, and staying informed on relevant housing legislation.
• Deliver high-quality customer service by effectively handling queries, attending resident meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth and responsive experience for homeowners.

About you

You will need to have proven experience in housing management administration, particularly in working with leaseholders and shared ownership leases. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong commitment to delivering high standards, and the ability to stay well organised, meet tight deadlines, and effectively juggle multiple tasks at once.

You will also need:

• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes)

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Predominantly London based, working across multiple sites in the inner and outer London area. This role includes on site visits, including to some services which may not have step free access. There is also work from home available.

About the role

This is a new and exciting opportunity within SIG to take the lead on delivering the strategic expansion of our services. About you

We're looking for an experienced project manager with experience and knowledge of the criminal justice system and the services within it. You will be a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage the set up and running of new services. You will have an understanding of what we stand for as a charity and have alignment to help us meet our mission and objectives. We are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in project/programme management, ideally in public sector or voluntary sector
• Proven experience in delivering complex, multi-site projects which involve property, service mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement

• Ability to manage projects from planning, execution, and oversight of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget

The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Senior Legal Officer to help expand, strengthen and innovate our TrustLaw programme in the Europe, Middle East and North Africa (EMENA) region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA, and working closely with the regional Programme Manager and Officer, the Senior Legal Officer will manage legal pro bono projects from TrustLaw’s community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations, and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.

About the Role 

As a Senior Legal Officer at Thomson Reuters, you will:  

• Scoping legal pro bono requests from our community of civil society organisations, social enterprises and independent media organisations so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on. 

• Managing pro bono requests, including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers, collecting feedback and following up with the parties involved.

• Designing, scoping and overseeing cross-border legal research projects, tools, resources and other content that address the most critical social and advocacy needs facing our members. 

• Proactive supporting of TrustLaw’s regional portfolio of law firms, corporations and other key stakeholders in EMENA to ensure TrustLaw regional quality and growth metrics are met. 

• Actively pursuing and cultivating relationships with law firms to secure their commitment to pro bono projects, employing persuasive communication strategies to highlight the impactful role they play in advancing social and environmental objectives through TrustLaw initiatives.

• Administering the service, for example through inputting into databases, planners, and trackers, running Salesforce reports, ensuring members have up-to-date contact information, inputting into quarterly reports, responding to requests for information, etc. in a timely manner.

• Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy, and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership, ensuring we serve the best NGOs, social enterprises and independent media organisations, as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legal teams. 

• Executing a robust communications, engagement and outreach strategy that includes member events and promotion of TrustLaw publications.

• Maintaining a high profile in EMENA by attending, supporting and coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation, including by speaking publicly on our work at panels, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, trainings, conferences or other speaking engagements.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Legal Officer if your background includes:

• Legal experience (preferably with at least 1 year post qualification experience) working either in a law firm, in-house legal team or non-profit organisation.

• A good understanding of the legal and NGO sectors in EMENA (and, in particular, the UK), and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that pro bono opportunities bring to law firms and legal teams;

• Experience of project management or co-ordination is highly favourable. 

• Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

• Being ambitious, dynamic, and creative. 

• Experience in Salesforce would be favourable, experience working with databases essential.

• Experience organising events or trainings would be favourable.
