Who You Are: We need passionate, self-starters with a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Your experience in roles like police, criminal justice, counselling, or health and social care could make you a perfect fit. This position will require some travel around the local North Yorkshire radius, so the ideal candidate will reside in this area.
Specifically Seeking Candidates With:
· Multi-lingual (desirable but not essential)
· Experience of frontline care for people in crisis with acute vulnerabilities and risks (desirable but not essential)
· Comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system (desirable but not essential)
· Research and advocacy skills – you reach out to other organisations to support your cases where required
· Significant resilience, and willingness to be professionally developed and clinically supervised
Whilst a full UK driving licence is desirable, it is not essential as you will be expected to travel to see clients via public transport (we reimburse travelling expenses).

About The National Flood Forum
The National Flood Forum is a charitable organisation that puts flooded people at the heart of their policies and the work they strive to achieve. We are the only organisation dedicated to issues around flooding. We give support to people at risk before, during and after flood catastrophes and work to achieve a voice for those at the grassroots of flood risk. The Fundraising and Operations Administrator plays a critical role in a small team.
Job Purpose:

Areas of responsibility:
1. Fundraising administration and donation processing
Cord has a loyal and committed UK supporter base of individual donors. The primary focus of this role is to support fundraising which involves
- the processing of donations and donation record keeping using a range of digital payment systems, entering records in to the supporter database, maintaining gift aid records and coordinating with finance colleagues regarding fundraising income.
- providing high quality supporter care to Cord's donors by assisting with the mailing of newsletters, writing thank you letters and notes to donors, and fielding enquiries promptly and politely.
- a range of other fundraising tasks including administering alternative gifts, helping with reports, liaising with payment platforms to ensure smooth processes, and supporting the preparation of resources for fundraising activities.
2. Running the admin office
Cord operates a predominantly remote working structure in the UK. However, there is a small admin office in Coventry which acts as a hub for the team with desks, resources and record storage. This role is responsible for overseeing this office and ensuring that remote office services run effectively. This involves organising the phone system and providing a reception service, managing mail procedures and monitoring office email accounts. It includes keeping the office in good order by managing supplies and storage, liaising with office suppliers, contractors and building agents. It also involves maintaining key holder registers, coordinating office access for the team, fulfilling health and safety requirements such as regular assessments and updating records, inducting and maintaining health and safety awareness amongst staff, when home working and working elsewhere, and providing logistical support for UK team meet-ups including sourcing venues and refreshment suppliers.
3. Providing admin support around Cord's global operations
Cord has programmes in eight countries throughout Africa and Southeast Asia with offices and staff in four of them. The Fundraising and Operations Administrator plays a critical role in supporting operations to support the smooth running of the organisation's internal services. This involves:
- IT systems: supporting the digital onboarding and offboarding of staff, purchasing and disposal of computer devices, maintaining records of current system users and liaising with Cord's external IT service provider on the issuing and billing of IT licences.
- Digital record systems: to support the organisation of Cord’s knowledge management system SharePoint, keeping key organisation administration information current, maintaining digital records in accordance with GDPR.
- Human resources: supporting recruitment processes, DBS applications, reference checks, monitoring employment contract terms, liaising with Cord's external HR advisor on employment contracts and policy amendments, supporting staff inductions, HR system record keeping and reporting.
- Finance: to carry out some routine finance tasks such as verifying petty cash counts, being a bank signatory that country reviews payments against approval documents.
- support to the Leadership Team with other operational tasks as required.
About you
To succeed in this role you will be a team player who is self-motivated with an ambition to help the organisation to improve systems, processes and information sharing. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of colleagues working remotely in the UK and abroad. They will be highly organised, with the ability to maintain records diligently, and deliver routine tasks to schedule whilst also being able to improve system and process processes that continually increase efficiency. They will need to be comfortable using and adapting to a wide range of digital tools. They will have a close eye for detail, be numerate and able to interact with a diverse range of people.
We understand that people may not have all the desired prior knowledge and experience but here are some that would be beneficial, although they could be learned whilst in post:

Main purpose of post
As the Operations Assistant you will be supporting the Operations Manager in delivering and maintaining an effective operational function at the charity. Including but not exclusively, Health & Safety, Premises, Facilities, Vehicle Management, and IT Services.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
· Act as the first point of contact for premises, facilities, IT and Estates issues across all Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.
· Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining a secure and organised premises and facilities, which ensure colleagues, volunteers and visitors are safe and experience a welcoming environment.
· Support the Operations Manager in the successful delivery of the Annual Operations plan.
· Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Operations Working Group.
· Support with updating operational policies and procedures.
· Act as a Charity Data Protection Officer (DPO), alongside the Operations Manager - following relevant training, to promote a strong GDPR culture.
· Assist in the coordination of the charity car maintenance and safety checks, including keeping auditable records.
· Assist in the control and coordination of the use of charity space and assets, including liaising with contractors and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) on relevant matters as required.
· Act as a designated keyholder, responsible for the opening and closing procedure.
Health & Safety
· Serve as the first point of contact for all Health & Safety matters, including incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
· Provide operational and administrative support on all Health & Safety matters at our sites and external locations (including external events and the Outreach Service, updating COSHH reports)
· Assist in the procurement and delivery of training.
· Help establish and maintain safe working practices and policies and undertake basic risk assessments.
Workwear and equipment
· Act as the first point of contact for workwear and equipment requests; including being responsible for issuing and returning stock, regular stock checks and ordering stock as required.
Tech Support
· Serve as the first point of contact for general IT enquiries
· Consult with IT consultants to ensure adherence to processes
· Work with the Operations Manager to implement processes that maintain the IT security score.
· Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including software licenses, logins, and induction training
General Administrative Support & Development
· Handle general enquiries from staff, patients, and volunteers efficiently.
· Manage the operations team telephone, email, and postal enquiries.
· Assist the Operations Manager with the procurement of stationery and consumables.
· Assist the wider team with ad hoc work and undertake small projects that support the charity's work. e.g. Events, Logistical and Tech Support.
Environmental Advocate
· Work with the Operations Manager to promote environmental awareness and encourage the charity adopts a green approach (e.g., recycling, energy use, carbon footprint)
· Identify and implement actions to reduce environmental impacts, costs, and/or increase income under the direction of the Operations Manager.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join the Estates team, with responsibility for general maintenance and groundwork around the Cathedral precinct.
This is a special opportunity to help preserve this historic site that is a living, working place of worship that has been at the centre of life in Chichester for over nine centuries.

The Role
You will, amongst other things, help to establish a cyclical schedule of preventative maintenance, undertake periodic safety inspections as well as responding to the day-to-day reactive repairs around the Cathedral site and its properties.
About You
If you understand how buildings work in terms of their plumbing and electrics and ideally have a relevant GNVQ level 2 relevant trade or multi trade diploma, then we would love to hear from you.
You will also need to be physically fit, because this role demands lifting, walking and standing much of the time.
You will have a good understanding about relevant H&S legislation; and, importantly, have a passion for historic buildings.

About the role
This role is a job-share working with an existing Executive Assistant who is spending part of her time supporting the Director of Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns (PPC) and the PPC department. This role entails working with a wide range of groups internal and external to Christian Aid. The role will support the Director, taking on key pieces of work, including minutes taking and report of meetings, assisting with email, liaising with colleagues and other assistants, coordinating hosted events and stakeholder lists, planning logistics, booking travel and accommodation, editing and proofreading documents, conducting research, scheduling appointments and other administrative tasks, as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, research and organisational skills with a bias for action, the ability to think laterally and deliver results. You will have a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the organisation.
