We are looking for an additional support worker with lived experience of self-harm to join our existing team working with people who have attended A&E for self-harm treatment. This role has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of self-harm. Self-harm can take many forms but for the purposes of this role we mean things which someone has done to themselves with the clear intention of causing harm.

This role is not about sharing personal stories of self-harm, but some exploration of your experiences will be part of the interview and training process. All questions will be provided in advance of the interview and training will be run in a small, closed group. Both the interviews and training will be facilitated by people who have used their self-harm experiences in their working lives.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Support the day to day running of the Lived Experience Service by:

• Offering tailored follow up support to people of all communities and genders who have attended A&E for self-harm treatment including face to face or video chat meetings, researching community support and guidance in finding and using self- help resources based on the principles of mutual experience, empathy and holistic support;
• Where appropriate sharing ideas about ways of achieving goals, drawing on personal experiences and assisting people to decide what they want to achieve based on their circumstances and personal resources;
• Administrative tasks including researching and updating service resources and maintaining accurate client records in line with organisational confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding policies.
• Supporting their own wellbeing by engaging in regular supervision and appropriate training

2. Contribute to the overall running of the organisation through:

• Attending team meetings
• Supporting the development and/or running of organisational resources, events and campaigns relevant to their role
• Having an awareness of the aims of the organisation and adhering to Safeguarding procedures at all times

Responsibilities of our Lifeline Caseworker:

As our Lifeline Caseworker, you will be involved with assessing referrals and admitting cats onto the service, providing pet advice and support to our volunteer foster carers and working with other stakeholders such as pet owners, domestic abuse support services, and internal Cats Protection employees or other agencies. As a human-benefit service, there is minimal cat handling involved, the role includes extensive communication via phone, email and in person, as well as daily admin and extensive driving.

• good all-round experience of performing administrative duties in a busy service
• previous professional experience giving pet care advice
• previous experience in a public facing role

The Hill End Charitable Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to be our new project coordinator – working with our Centre Director on a wide variety of tasks to create and deliver the projects we need to transform our site and buildings.

The Hill End Outdoor Education Centre has been providing unique outdoor learning experiences to children and adults since the 1920s. Our mission is to provide exciting and meaningful day and residential learning experiences that inspire children, and every visitor, to enjoy and value nature and the outdoors. Managed for decades by local authorities, Hill End is now an independent charitable trust seeking to create a more sustainable future. 

The Role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator on a part-time basis to help us create and deliver our vision to develop our site and buildings for the future. This includes modernising our existing facilities, improving access and becoming more environmentally sustainable.

These are ambitious plans and we are not expecting to achieve everything at once. We are looking to create a series of distinct, prioritised projects so we can move forward and need more people capacity in our small team to do so.

The Project Coordinator is a new role, and will undertake the essential administrative, communication, planning and reporting needed to help make our plans a reality. In the first instance, this will be to assist with key building renovations and improvements such as creation of disabled facilities.

The Project Coordinator will not necessarily have formal project management experience, but must be able to pull together a wide-ranging set of requirements, create and improve processes and practices that will allow us to better manage our site development in future.

This role might suit someone wishing to work either three full days or part of each working day. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.

Principal Duties

These will include:

Gathering and analysing management data

• Using customer bookings and finance systems to extract key information.
• Defining and reporting on key metrics to evaluate the progress and success of projects.
• Collating and using data as required to help with other key strategic tasks such as cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
•  Providing data as required to support business planning, funding bids, marketing and communication.

Project communication

• Identifying and engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders, such as partners, customers, contractors, consultants and planners.
• Putting in place systems for better project communication, internally and externally.
• Assisting with scheduling of tasks and meetings.
• Reporting as necessary to the Centre Director and Trustees.

Project coordination

• Helping to define project aims, needs and budgets in line with our strategic priorities.
• Obtaining quotations, costings and development options for Hill End to review and approve.
• Assisting with legal and contractual considerations.
• Putting in place new and robust systems to record project progress and next steps.
• Defining and improving existing management systems.
• Helping to create a new project management model for future development.

Knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required

The Centre has a small, dedicated staff who are all committed to the aims of the charity. The successful applicant will share the values and enthusiasm of the team. We are seeking an experienced Rent Officer to join our small, dispersed Rent Team which consists of a Rent Team Leader; two Rent Officers, and two part-time Rent Team Administrators which sits within our Housing and Property services. In conjunction with our Supported Housing services, the Rent Team is responsible for the collection of the organisation's rent and other property charges. As a Rent Officer you will manage a caseload of properties and will be responsible for monitoring rent accounts; ensuring that appropriate action is taken to maximize rental income. You will ensure accuracy of rent accounts’ and service users’ information held on the rent management database (Pyramid). 

In addition, you will liaise with relevant local authorises housing benefit departments; ensuring positive relationships are forged. You will have knowledge of the external environment in which YMCA DownsLink Group works and keep abreast of key changes, particularly around Welfare Reform.

Hybrid role – mainly based at Reed House in Hove, with an expectation to work out of other locations across the YMCA DownsLink Group area when required. About the role:

Working across the People team the People and Talent Coordinator is an essential for the organisation, contributing to the long- term development and performance of the People directorate.  The postholder will have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. The role provides technical expertise and support on Talent, People and L&D related matters, including actively supporting the end- to- end recruitment for all posts, using ATS/HRIS systems, strong contribution towards inductions and DBS checks. The role also provides the key point of contact for staff on day-to-day routine HR questions and queries, and hands-on interaction and delivery of L&D initiatives.

About You:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills and attributes set out in the persons specification. We are seeking a self- starter who can seamlessly coordinate tasks with competing priorities. HR knowledge is a bonus, however demonstration of a proven track record of working in a busy environment, delivering to deadlines and cross sectional working puts you in a good position.

You will bring operational working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, and Mailchimp. Ideally you come from or have a HR background and have worked in the voluntary sector and if not, you are able to demonstrate your transferable skill set showcasing your excellent ability to undertake this role.

About the Team

You will be joining a skilled six persons People team dedicated to supporting the organisation across all People matters.

The Enquiries Team is an established 2-way channel that responds to enquiries arriving through multiple channels from CSP members, stakeholders, and the public. Additionally, we proactively reach out to members with various campaigns throughout the year, each with distinct objectives and aims.

About the role

The enquiries we receive are diverse, and multitasking is essential as you'll be expected to handle calls and respond to email enquiries concurrently. Comprehensive support will be provided to help you learn all about the organisation so that you can deliver the best experience to our members. Persuasive communication skills are a must, along with proven adaptability and a quick learning ability.

This role involves constant use of data input and extraction skills, often whilst dealing with enquiries. Therefore, advanced data input skills and a calm professional manner are vital.

Be Free Campaign is a dynamic mental health charity dedicated to preventing and intervening early in young people's mental health issues. We deliver impactful mental health programmes to schools, community centres, and organisations, reaching and supporting as many young individuals as possible. Position Overview:

Be Free Campaign seeks a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to play a crucial role in managing and expanding our outreach programmes specifically focused on young people's mental health. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of these programmes, including delivery, volunteer recruitment, administrative tasks, contributing to fundraising efforts, and providing leadership and management.
