We are recruiting a temporary finance officer for a human rights charity. You will need strong experience in finance working in month end tasks and reporting . The role is for 2 months +

The Role
Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting
Support the Development team with Donor reporting.
Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports for project teams.
Produce Sage expenditure reports for the Development and Program teams upon request.
General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
Support the HoF and Development team with any other ad hoc tasks as required.
The Candidate
Extensive experience working in Finance to officer or senior officer officer level
Reconciliation
Working experience with Sage50.
Qualified or Pursuing formal accounting qualifications.
Understanding of charity accounting
Strong IT skills

Who you are:

An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience).

The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals.

Experienced in maintaining and developing corporate sponsor relations including writing client and grant proposals.

An excellent trainer, with experience of delivering training to businesses.

A strong project manager and great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those.

A professional who has worked with or within the construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, apparel, finance or care sector on responsible business behaviour.

An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the organisation professionally at a variety of events.

A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders.

Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.

New Routes Integration
Since 2003 New Routes has been working with, and supporting, refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants in Norwich to support their wellbeing and ambitions by providing skill-building and social programmes in a safe and welcoming environment. Principle purpose of the post:
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely.
The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.
In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.
The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.

BACKGROUND
The Helen Bamber Foundation is a human rights organisation with an international reputation for providing medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection, and practical support to survivors of trafficking and torture. We are a team of therapists, doctors, lawyers, caseworkers and administrators who help men, women and children recover from the emotional and physical damage they have suffered because of torture, human trafficking, or other forms of cruelty.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As Psychotherapist within the Helen Bamber Foundation, you will work alongside our current Senior Psychotherapist and be responsible for supporting the Head of Therapies and the Team Manager in providing a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions to clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, stabilization, psychoeducation, and trauma focused therapy, this role will include delivery of psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, as well as delivery of clinical supervision to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who nonetheless have significant client contact, and supervision of assistant psychologists. As you develop in the role you will also have opportunities to contribute to the on-going development of the service and at times, the role may include input into policy, research and fundraising and delivery of consultancy and training.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to be with the complex and sometimes harrowing details of a client’s experience, and to react and respond creatively and appropriately to their needs.Additionally, you will be knowledgeable and experienced in consultation and assessment including risk management, and have competence, or a commitment to receiving training, in at least one model of trauma therapy such as NET or EMDR.

- Responsible for day to day running of database (Salesforce) for the fundraising team.
- Ensuring all donations are correctly recorded on the database and thanked appropriately.

- Assist with data segmentation, creating data lists for mailing, correct recording and analysis of income for development purposes.
