About the role:

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and personable experienced fundraiser to become a valued part of our close-knit team.

Reporting to the Community, Corporate and Events Lead, this role supports our ambition to generate income through community fundraising, corporate partnerships, and a wide range of events. You will proactively manage projects and build strong relationships with individuals, businesses and community groups, while also line-managing two enthusiastic team members.

Alongside maximising opportunities with our existing supporters, you will play a key role in developing and nurturing new ideas, partnerships and activities. Your work will help to grow this vital income stream and ensure we continue to connect meaningfully with the communities and organisations that champion Princess Alice Hospice.

This is primarily an office‑based role due to the team‑management and supervisory responsibilities. We expect most work to be carried out on-site to support new team members and ensure effective collaboration. However, once established in the role, there may be scope to work from home up to two days per week, depending on performance, team needs, and operational requirements.

About you:

For you the supporter is key, whether they’re a running in a marathon, holding a tea party, or a corporate partnership taking part in an international sponsored bike ride.

You’ll be enthusiastic, highly organised, and able to multitask effectively. With strong verbal and written communication skills, you’ll also have some experience in charity fundraising, particularly community fundraising—whether voluntary or paid. Strong in administrative tasks, you’ll be confident in managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail. Above all, you’ll be passionate about community fundraising and building meaningful connections to support a great cause.

About the role

As an Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of third-party challenge events, delivering marketing plans to boost participation and creating first-class stewardship journeys. You’ll be data driven, using insights and sector trends to inform improvements and highlight opportunities to grow our challenge events portfolio.

You will attend key events as required to support with on-the-day logistics and volunteer management. Please note, due to the nature of our work you will be required to attend some events and meetings which can be during weekends, early mornings or evenings.

About you

With fundraising and events experience, you will be motivated and organised individual who communicates confidently across a range of channels both internally and with external stakeholders.

You’ll be skilled in building strong relationships and creating excellent fundraiser experiences. When working under pressure, you’ll remain calm and focused to deliver results in a positive and solution-focused manner.

This role will develop and maintain relationships with trusts, foundations and statutory funders through updates and other bespoke communications in order to maximise income.

You will create funding applications which result in significant five- and six-figure gifts in support of Sue Ryder’s vision and mission. Monitor and report progress towards income targets and other agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Experience of maintaining relationships with funders and designing and implementing tailored donor care and stewardship plans.

The University of Oxford is searching for a Development Executive (Fundraising) that will raise vital philanthropic support for priority areas of research in the Medical Sciences Division.

What this role entails?

The Medical Sciences Divisional development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and across the Development and Alumni Engagement team at the University of Oxford.

This is a key role within the team and the post holder will have the opportunity to work with donors and academics. Development at Oxford is well established and this role has the scope to work across a number of important and high-profile projects related to the medical sciences.

The post holder will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gifts prospects. They will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential donors able to support projects in the Medical Sciences Division at Oxford, typically in the range of £100,000-£500,000 over time, alongside to supporting the fundraising activity of the Head of Development – Medical Sciences.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven fundraising experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts at the £50,000 level and above
• Ability to identify new donor prospects and engage with potential donors to successfully acquire new gifts
• Ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fund-raising goals
• Ability to establish credibility, confidence and robust relationships with existing and prospective donors, and key stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in the medical sciences
• An interest in higher education and ideally an understanding of the University of Oxford, and its goals in teaching and research

Supporter Care and Engagement Fundraiser

We are seeking a motivated and organised Supporter Care and Engagement Fundraiser to help deliver an outstanding supporter journey for a national children’s charity.

Position: Supporter Care and Engagement Fundraiser
Salary: £27,285 per annum
Location: Remote, with options to work from offices in Cornwall, Derbyshire or London
Hours: Full time, flexible options may be available

About the Role

This is a key frontline role within a driven and collaborative Fundraising and Communications team. You will play an essential part in delivering excellent supporter care, managing fundraising systems and strengthening engagement across the charity’s growing supporter base.

Working closely with the Supporter Engagement and Fundraising Manager, you will help deliver an ambitious fundraising strategy, ensuring supporters receive a positive, consistent and engaging experience at every touchpoint.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email and post
• Managing the fundraising inbox and responding to requests from individuals and organisations
• Processing and recording donations accurately, including Gift Aid compliance
• Supporting personalised acknowledgement and stewardship of donors
• Maintaining and updating the CRM system, including The Raiser’s Edge
• Producing reports and supporting fundraising appeals through data segmentation and analysis
• Supporting individual fundraisers and challenge events participants
• Assisting with fundraising campaigns, appeals and donor events
• Contributing to the production of fundraising and marketing materials
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems and automate processes

You will also support the wider day to day operations of the Fundraising and Communications function, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.

About You

You will be confident working with data and CRM systems and motivated by delivering excellent supporter experiences.

You will bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in fundraising, events, business development or supporter care
• Experience of working with a donor database, ideally The Raiser’s Edge
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
• A proactive and positive approach
• The ability to work collaboratively within a small team

You will be highly motivated, compassionate and committed to providing a high quality service. A willingness to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends will be required.

Identify, research and approach potential corporate prospects aligned with charitys mission and values including paid partnerships and in kind support.

Manage the delivery of partnership agreements, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and ensuring all partners receive the appropriate level of stewardship and recognition.

Act as the main point of contact for existing corporate partners

Coordinate and manage corporate partner events/hospitality.

The Candidate
Experience in corporate partnerships and sponsorships, ideally within the arts, culture, or non-profit sectors.

Ability to create new leads and contacts with a creative approach to business income generation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative but independent environment

Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and provide high levels of customer care.
