Oxford Hospitals Charity is seeking an approachable, proactive, and personable individual to join our Hospital Engagement Team in a job-share role, working across the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to make a tangible impact on the lives of patients and staff.
This role is offered as a job share, with each postholder working 18.75 hours per week, alongside a colleague who is already in post. As a Hospital Engagement Officer, you will be a key link between the charity and our hospitals, meeting, motivating and inspiring patients, visitors and staff. Based primarily at the Charity Hub desk in the John Radcliffe Hospital, this varied and rewarding role will make the most of your skills in customer care and relationship-building. Whether speaking to new NHS staff at weekly staff inductions, inspiring visitors to support the charity through fundraising, or working alongside our incredible team of volunteers, you will play an important role in raising the profile of Oxford Hospitals Charity across our hospital sites. Working closely with your job share partner, you will ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to engaging with our hospital communities.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join ourservices. In this role, you will help ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of our residents by providing a friendly and reassuring presence within the service at night. Our OLYP services delivers specialist 24-hour supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely explore their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support workers, Night workers and additional Bank workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.
What you will be doing

Main areas of responsibilities are:
Safety and security
- Provide a friendly, professional presence and ensure the building remains safe, secure and welcoming at night.
- Support resident wellbeing by upholding health and safety procedures, house rules and tenancy requirements.
- Monitor risks and respond to incidents calmly and appropriately, recording and reporting to the relevant teams.
Resident engagement
- Welcome residents and offer informal, responsive assistance to help them develop confidence, independence and life skills.
- Encourage residents to share their views and engage with available services and opportunities.
- Assist with evening groupwork sessions that promote learning, wellbeing and positive development.
Administration and housekeeping
- Complete essential admin tasks including data entry, case notes and record management.
- Carry out routine health and safety, compliance and room checks.
- Log maintenance issues to ensure the building remains safe and well maintained.
General
- Work collaboratively on a four-on, four-off rota, providing consistent, non-judgemental support overnight.
- Maintain a calm, professional approach and handle challenging situations effectively.
- Take part in ongoing training and reflective practice to support psychologically informed care.
This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision-making and in following procedures. However, before joining the rota, you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and services, take part in a full induction, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

Are you a young *Christian who is passionate about issues of justice and peace? Do you want to explore the intersection of faith, policy, and politics, and potentially pursue a career in one of these fields? The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two full time paid internship positions to start in September 2026.
Interns work as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.
JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff working across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.
These internships provide opportunities to develop skills in campaigning, communications, research, and policy within a dynamic team environment. There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the intern for further employment after their time on the internship. Whilst we are looking for some evidence of certain skills and experience, candidates will have the opportunity to develop relevant skills during their time in the role.
They are full time paid roles with fixed-term contracts to the end of August 2027, and a salary of £26,936.00 per year (we are committed to paying at least the London Living Wage). The roles are based in the Methodist Connexional Team which offers hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation of spending at least two days a week at an office base in central London.

Action for Conservation is a UK grassroots charity using innovative approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders. In 2019, we launched our flagship Penpont Project on a 2,000-acre estate in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales. The Penpont Project is the largest intergenerational nature restoration project of its kind in the world, aiming to demonstrate how youth leadership and ambition can advance nature’s recovery at a time of acute ecological crisis.
We are currently looking for a Community Tree Nursery Coordinator to join the Penpont Project and run our Community Tree Nursery, growing trees from native tree species, including trees of conservation and heritage value, through collaborative learning and community-building activities. The focus of the role is as much on intergenerational learning and community engagement as it is on the processes of tree rearing and producing trees for planting out across the landscape. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with good knowledge of tree planting, growth and care, and a passion for working with young people and communities. Please be aware that this is a physically active role, and you should be willing to work outdoors most of the time.

What you will do
- Look after the day-to-day running and maintenance of the Tree Nursery together with our partners.
- Grow native tree species to use as stock for tree planting at Penpont, with types and quantities of trees to be determined based on project needs and what we can hope to achieve through volunteer action and educational events.
- Engage young people and the local community around Penpont with the Tree Nursery through a variety of events and activities, supporting them to grow their skills, knowledge and confidence related to trees, and ensure there is a solid volunteer base to support the nursery’s operation.
- Be responsible for the general coordination of Tree Nursery events and manage all relevant administration and logistics.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities as relevant to your role to understand the impact of our work and facilitate learnings.
What we are looking for
- Experience of working with young people, ideally aged 12-18 and community volunteers and proven ability to engage, motivate and support people from diverse backgrounds and age groups
- Good horticultural knowledge, from selecting seeds to growing and nurturing tree stock, including traditional growing techniques; knowledge related to woodlands and forest ecosystems is desirable
- Experience of organising and running events and activities from start to finish, including liaising with stakeholders, managing logistics, health and safety and safeguarding
- Proven ability to facilitate stimulating, interactive and inclusive youth/community group sessions, especially practical activities in an outdoor setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners, young people and other stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- A proactive and self-reliant approach to work, ability to work independently, problem-solve and take initiative to achieve results
- Good IT skills, including using Google Workspace applications (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) or similar
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role as well as willingness to work outdoors in all seasons/weathers and to work outside of usual office hours

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Activities Coordinator to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration and enhance social skills and community engagement. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful work in a supportive team environment.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and coordinating individual and group activities and sessions
- Delivering programmes that support residents’ goals, personal development, and reintegration
- Developing and managing calendars of activities, events, and awareness campaigns to promote social skills, community engagement, and meaningful participation
- Collecting information about activities and resident feedback to see what works well and share this with the team to improve programmes and support resident wellbeing
- Running clinics, projects, and sessions, providing guidance, life skills support, and advice to residents as needed

- Monitoring, evaluate, and report on activity effectiveness and outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement

About You
We are looking for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable people in making a change, supporting their rehabilitation and providing opportunities for them to make positive change to their lives, to reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. You will be able to plan and deliver a range of activities suited to individual needs and will be confident in understanding the needs of our residents to do this. We look for:
- Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
- Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team and residents on various areas
- Ability to work creatively and encourage creativity in others

Our exciting Health IDVA role is leading the way in forging referral pathways between GPs and specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse. You will build on our existing strong relationships with all the GP practices in Greenwich, provide robust in-person and online training to GPs on how to spot the signs of abuse, and manage a caseload of women referred by GPs.
Aims of the Role
· To build and maintain effective relationships with general GP practice teams, and to recruit local general practices to participate in the DA Health programme
· To provide in-house training for GP teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic & Sexual abuse (DSA).
· To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around Domestic and Sexual Abuse to GP teams
· To encourage GP health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer
· To provide specialist, individual and needs-led DSA advocacy and support to female patients who are experience DSA who are referred from participating practices, and to provide onward referrals where appropriate, again initially via phone
· To provide signposting and onward referrals to male patients who are affected by DSA
· To provide feedback on case outcomes to referring clinicians
· To collect and collate performance and monitoring data for reporting purposes and with a view to further embedding and developing the Health IDVSA programme locally
Areas of Responsibility
1. Practice-based work
· Work closely with the Clinical Lead to promote the HEALTH IDSVA programme within the area and to encourage local general practices to sign up
· Negotiate dates for and arrange training sessions with practices that agree to participate
· Prepare training packs for practice training sessions
· Deliver, alongside the Clinical Lead, our bespoke DSA training to clinicians and non-clinical staff in participating general practices and prepare training materials where necessary
· Promote awareness of the experiences and needs of women affected by DSA, particularly in relation to their health, in partnership with the Clinical Lead
· Develop a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team. This includes:
. provision of systematic and support to the primary care teams of participating general practices, including meeting with individuals and small groups of clinical and administrative staff
. Attending relevant meetings
· Maintain effective monitoring procedures and ensure that clear accurate records of practice-based work are kept and maintained, in line with Health IDSVA requirements
· Feedback on the use of the electronic medical record prompt linked to the Health IDSVA programme and provide patient feedback and case updates /outcomes
· Using the data collected, maintain an overview of local practices’ engagement with the Health IDSVA programme
· Act upon this overview to proactively ensure that the Health Idsva programme is well established and embedded, and that all local HEALTH IDSA -trained practices are engaging with the programme.
2. Advocacy and support service
· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have recently experienced) DSA referred by primary health care clinicians or MARAC
· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have experienced) DSA who self-refer from participating practices
· Provide direct assessment, casework support, advice, information and advocacy to women experiencing DSA through telephone contact, and/or meetings at the relevant practice
· Work with women experiencing DSA to increase their personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights
· Develop good working relationships and liaise with outside agencies when needed.
· Keep accurate records of all referrals received and of work done with or on behalf of service users, in line with Health IDSVA requirements.
3. Reporting and Monitoring
· Attend and participate in the local Health IDSVA steering group meetings
· Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Health IDSVA programme, by:
- Collecting and collating all practice-based and referral and advocacy data and monitoring, as requested
- Producing written reports as requested (e.g. quarterly reports, annual report), including for the local Health IDSVA steering group
· Participate in multi-agency working parties and focus groups, when requested to do so by the Director or your manager.
· Provide advice and training at a range of locations as requested for both professionals and the public
· Keep up to date on research, policy development and other literature relevant to the project. Attend relevant conferences and seminars on behalf of the project.
4. Other
· Attend team meetings, relevant meetings with trustees and to be part of Her Centre outreach marketing

This role is a full time, working on a hybrid basis with two days per week from our office in Boscombe. Due to the nature of the role, regular travel across the Dorset county will be required.

About the Role
As a CHIDVA you will provide high quality support to children and young people who have been subjected to domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support children and young people to:
- Feel safer
- Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
- Feel listened to and heard
- Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
- Be connected with services who are available to help them
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to children, young people and their families via their preferred contact method.
- Undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
- Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
- Liaise with the police, social services, CPS, schools, colleges and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
- Provide information to children & young people to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of children and young people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.
About You:
Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited CHIDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)
You will need:
- A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on children and young people.
- Experience of working with children and young people including completing risk assessments and safety planning
- Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
- Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate with children, young people and their families
- An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
- A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
- An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
- Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.
- Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

About the Role
We’re seeking a senior member of the CIPFA Finance management team. Alongside the core deliverables, you’ll work with the CFO and Head of Finance to shape our financial strategy and transform operations.
The Financial Controller will lead CIPFA’s technical accounting, treasury, tax and financial reporting activities across the organisation and its trading subsidiary.
This is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, year-end and audit management, treasury oversight and the charity’s tax environment. You will ensure CIPFA maintains robust financial controls and compliance with charity accounting standards while shaping wider finance initiatives and organisational projects.
Working closely with colleagues across the finance team and the wider organisation, you will also provide expertise on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, grants and fund accounting, and foreign currency activity.
CIPFA has successfully implemented a suite of Microsoft systems providing a platform for further operational transformation. The role offers the opportunity to substantially improve reporting and processes to deliver strategic change and enhanced financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for the charity, subsidiary and consolidated group.
- Manage the year-end close process and act as the key point of contact for external auditors.
- Oversee CIPFA’s tax and VAT environment, including compliance, quarterly returns and partial exemption calculations.
- Manage treasury activities including cash management, investments and foreign currency exposure.
- Maintain strong financial controls and support improvements to the organisation’s control environment.
- Oversee complex accounting areas including property accounting, grants and revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with SORP FRS102 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Support the budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner.
- Work with colleagues to improve financial systems, reporting capability and the chart of accounts structure.
- Manage internal audits and contribute to wider governance, risk and compliance initiatives.
- Provide financial training, guidance and documentation across areas of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For
- A fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience preparing charity and group statutory accounts.
- Experience managing charity tax and VAT matters, including partial exemption and international sales.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, particularly SORP FRS102.
- Experience managing year-end processes and working with external auditors.
