Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. We are a growing team of ESOL tutors and creche teams providing training to help refugees and their families to resettle in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.

About the role

The Early Years Session Lead holds responsibility for leading sessions in our trauma-informed Early Years setting. They do not hold line management responsibility for other practitioners however supervise a small team of L2 practitioners during the sessions.

The Early Years Session Lead is part of the EY Leadership Team, which meet together online on a Weds 15:00-16:00.

In addition the EY Session Lead works in our EY setting in Bedford on a Friday alongside the EY Session Lead (Bedford) and the Senior Early Years Practitioner who holds line management responsibility for the EY team.

Here at Rainbows Children’s Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care and end-of-life support to over 750 Babies, Children, and Young People living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as approximately 3,000 people, including families, siblings, and carers, across the East Midlands. We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our dedicated Volunteering Team at Rainbows. Volunteers play a pivotal role in supporting every aspect of our vital work – from fundraising and events, to our retail shops and the hospice itself – with over 350 individuals generously volunteering their time, skills, and passion.

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual who will help ensure volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and confident, enabling them to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and families across our services.

Location: Primarily an office-based role, at our hospice in Loughborough.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Some flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend working and regional travel will be part of supporting volunteers.

About the role

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping how people volunteer with Rainbows. How are staff supported to work remotely?  

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

Based with our partner organisation, Doncaster Housing for Young People, you will ensure you deliver high quality legal services through casework, the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Scheme and ensuring Legal Aid contract requirements and performance targets are met.

Solicitor

You will challenge unfair housing practices and systemic causes of homelessness through strategic casework and litigation. Working closely with our Sheffield team and the Managing Solicitor to strengthen housing rights awareness across the region, you will support Legal Advisers, ensuring high professional standards and compliance.

Paralegal

You will help our solicitors to maintain an active caseload, enabling our clients to enforce their housing rights. Your role will be varied and will include taking instructions and witness statements, drafting letters, making applications, providing court representation and making sure time recording and income targets are met. Please note this role is being advertised as a Paralegal but on appointment the job title will be Legal Adviser.

About You

For the Solicitor role, we are open to newly qualified candidates with a demonstrable interest in social justice, as well as those who have 3+ years PQE and a strong track record in housing law and Legal Aid work. You will have experience or a demonstrable interest in legal practice in the private or not for profit sector with experience of working on a wide range of housing cases, knowledge of legal aid, housing, homelessness and welfare law. You have the ability to research, write reports, time record and meet financial targets, as well as meeting or be willing to develop to meet the Housing Supervisor Requirements (September 2023).

For the Paralegal role you will need a good understanding of litigation work, be able to carry out legal research and provide a good standard of professional service and client care. You will have excellent communication skills, both in writing/drafting and face-to-face along with proficiency using case management systems and time recording, as well as the ability to manage your time and workload. If you have housing law experience and knowledge of Legal Aid/ CCMS this would be an advantage. You enjoy collaborating as part of a team, respond quickly and positively to change and are not afraid to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas when appropriate.

The role of Interim Head of Fundraising

This is an exciting interim (9-12 month) opportunity for a strategic and people focused leader to head up our Fundraising team and help drive meaningful change for people affected by digestive conditions.

This role is primarily focused on strengthening and scaling voluntary income and leading our fundraising team and activities.  The postholder will also shape the future fundraising operating model and support a smooth transition to a permanent fundraising lead.

Hours & Salary range

About the role

As a Reception/Administrator as part of the front of house team you will:

· Cover all reception responsibilities providing a safe and welcoming area for Skylight staff, clients and volunteers, providing effective Information and Guidance (IAG) to the vulnerable client group.

· Be responsible for the official opening/closing of the office in line with the H&S policies.

· Assess members at reception upon presentation and take appropriate action as to whether it is safe for them or others to access the service at that time utilising a trauma informed approach in line with confidentiality policies and procedures.

· Provide efficient and effective administrative and logistical support to the Crisis Skylight team, ensuring that all systems and structures contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to members and the smooth running of the office.

The key to success will be your ability to collaborate constructively and effectively as part of the Crisis team. 

Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:

· Experience of providing customer service and advice within a reception environment, with a commitment to deliver the highest standard of customer care. 

· Experience of working with vulnerable or marginalised groups, assessing need and providing information, advice and guidance.

· Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to successfully manage a busy and diverse workload. 

· Experience of providing administrative support including updating Case Management Systems, general office duties and maintaining accurate records.

About the role

As Public Affairs Assistant, you will have responsibility for organising and delivering events in support of the team’s and Shelter’s strategic objectives. It will also see you maintain and find creative improvements to stakeholder management processes across the division, look after stakeholder contact data and keep records updated. Monitoring political developments and activities will be important too, as will gathering and recording intelligence and delivering your insights by providing political monitoring updates for the rest of the organisation. About the Role

A stimulating and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practitioner Psychologist with a Forensic background. You will work alongside the Group Psychological Lead and other members of the team within our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) to deliver psychological services to residents and staff. In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support people who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
• Demonstrating clinical leadership by setting direction for the psychological service and driving high standards for quality, safety and ongoing improvement.
• Exercising clinical responsibility for residents’ psychological care, showing skill and judgement in selecting appropriate assessments and interventions.
• Consulting with other parties contributing to a resident’s diagnosis, formulation, treatment and risk management in the community.
• Create opportunities to collaborate with peers including AP-based psychologists nationally and OPD pathway psychologists delivering services to APs.

About You

Role purpose:

Responsibilities include: 

Programme and Partnership Coordination: 

• Coordinate internal and external meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and follow-up.

• Support the tracking of programme and partnership progress by maintaining accurate records, capturing relevant data, and preparing timely reports.

• Draft reports and updates tailored to different audiences on Amna’s programmes and partnerships.

• Undertake short information gathering and research assignments as required. 

• Manage communication with GHN members, including session coordination, registration setup, and follow-up.

• Maintain and regularly update the GHN database and tracking systems.

• Identify and coordinate interpretation and translation needs, including liaison with service providers.

• Support delivery of online and in-person training, including preparation of materials and logistics.

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g. UK GDPR) and organisational policies. 

• Support the coordination of Amna's due diligence working alongside the Finance Manager and Operations team. 

Admin, Logistics, Procurement:  

• In coordination with the Operations team to maintain files and reference systems and ensure they are regularly updated to ensure accuracy. 

• Support procurement processes, including sourcing quotations, preparing documentation, and tracking approvals.

• Manage travel arrangements for programmes and partners, including itineraries and related requirements.

• Coordinate vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services.

• Support event logistics (venues, catering, training materials, interpretation).

• Maintain documentation, filing systems, and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

• Draft correspondence, prepare briefings and presentations, and take meeting minutes as required.

• Support forward planning, document preparation, and proofreading.

• Distribute and track feedback forms and maintain related records.

• Provide ad hoc operational support as required. 

  Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, International Development, Project Management, or similar). 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, partnerships, or related roles, preferably within the charity sector. 

• Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with document management systems (e.g. SharePoint). 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally across a range of stakeholders. 

• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a structured manner. 

• High level of attention to detail, with a methodical and accurate approach to work.
