Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Community Fundraising Lead to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of
fundraising and communications, working across both teams to leverage our community to generate

About the Role
Are you a creative digital fundraiser who loves building relationships? Do you want to use your digital marketing, social media, and stewardship skills to make a real-world impact?
As our Community and Events Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be the driving force behind our digital supporter journeys. You won't just manage processes; you will craft exceptional, inspiring experiences for our volunteers and fundraisers from the moment they sign up to the moment they cross the finish line (and beyond).
This is a highly collaborative, home-based role where you will work closely with our Social Media, Communications, and Marketing teams to bring fundraising campaigns to life across all Cystic Fibrosis Trust platforms.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a target-oriented, passionate team player who is excited about digital fundraising trends and loves connecting with people. You will also need to meet the following essential criteria:
• Proven experience in digital community fundraising and volunteer management.
• Effective project management experience
• A strong demonstrable understanding of relational fundraising and supporter journey principles.
• Hands-on experience using digital fundraising platforms (including Facebook, Enthuse, JustGiving, Give Panel, etc.).
• Experience of copywriting and editing skills to write compelling, high-quality content.
• Great collaboration skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team to reach targets.
• Experience of using Dot digital, Hootsuite, Power BI, or CRM and fundraising databases
• Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and work occasional evenings/weekends to support our events.

We Are Survivors is a survivor-focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual harms across Greater Manchester, providing access to quality-assured support. Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

About the Role
The Nightingale Navigator supports the loved ones of male survivors through the Nightingale Project. Recognising that sexual harm can affect partners, family members and others close to a survivor, the role provides therapeutic group and community-based support, alongside psychoeducation about trauma and its wider impact. This includes helping loved ones understand the criminal justice process and working with health, social care and other partner agencies to ensure they receive coordinated support. The Navigator also brings the experiences, needs and wishes of loved ones into the continued development of the Nightingale Project.
About You
You’ll be someone who understands that sexual harm can affect not only survivors, but also their partners, family members and other people close to them. You’ll be comfortable talking about trauma and able to provide compassionate, practical and non-judgmental support through group work, community activities and partnership working. Experience of supporting loved ones, delivering workshops or working within mental health, social care, advocacy or community services would be particularly helpful. We also recognise the value of transferable experience and welcome people who are committed to learning, building trusting relationships and helping loved ones feel less alone.
