Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role supports the charity’s media and PR programme, helping to secure positive coverage and strengthen its reputation through proactive and reactive communications. It will contribute to the organisation’s ambition by increasing awareness, influence, and engagement with key audiences across traditional and digital media channels.
Working within the media communications team, the post-holder will lead on media planning and PR projects, identifying opportunities for both short-term campaigns (such as report launches) and longer-term storytelling by spotting future hooks and moments to promote key messages and calls to action. The role will also support wider team strategy development and contribute to a busy and responsive press office.
You should have experience in media relations and press office activity, including drafting high-quality media materials such as press releases, statements, op-eds and thought leadership content. You will also need strong judgement to respond to enquiries, manage reputational issues in real time, build relationships with journalists and outlets across the UK nations, and monitor, evaluate and report on media coverage.

About the role:
This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.
You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.
You’ll also gain exposure to all the teams that the press office supports, which includes writing press assets for fundraising, healthcare, bereavement and influencing/campaigning stories.

Following the growth of the Income Generation team Severn Hospice is expanding.
Severn Hospice is a leading regional charity providing compassionate care for people living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and motivated fundraiser to help grow our Individual Giving programme, a vital source of income that enables us to continue delivering our caring services.
As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering fundraising activity that inspires supporters and maximises engagement, income and lifetime value.
Leading a diverse portfolio including regular giving, appeals, in memoriam gifts, funeral donations and general donations, you will use insight-led planning and thoughtful communication to engage supporters, build lasting and meaningful relationships and encourage long-term giving.
Working closely with colleagues across the income generation and communications teams, you will develop campaigns, initiatives and supporter journeys that make new and existing supporters feel valued, informed and inspired by the difference they make.
This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will manage budgets, plan and monitor campaigns, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and best practice standards. You will also line-manage the Legacy Fundraiser, supporting the development of legacy income as part of the wider Individual Giving programme.

Every day, firefighters across the UK run towards the things most of us run from. The Fire Fighters Charity exists to support them and the people they love, when they need it most.
Now they're looking for someone to help grow the income that makes that possible.
This is a rare one.
Face to face fundraising at the Fire Fighters Charity isn't a tired legacy channel, it's a programme that's been rebuilt, is already performing strongly, and is seen as central to the charity's future. The in-house team works directly with fire and rescue services across the country. A public-facing agency programme runs alongside it. Both are growing. Both need stronger leadership.
That's where you come in.
As Face to Face Manager, you won't just be keeping the plates spinning. You'll be shaping strategy, building business cases, improving data and reporting, managing agencies and an in-house team, and helping take this programme to the next level. You'll have direct access to the firefighters themselves, whose stories are among the most compelling anywhere in the charity sector.
What you'll bring:
A solid grounding or at least a strong working knowledge in face to face or dialogue fundraising, whether from the charity side or an agency background. Strong data skills and confidence with KPIs and reporting. The strategic instinct to see the bigger picture, not just the next campaign. And the personality to thrive in a remote, relationship-driven role where no two weeks look the same.
Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is a plus. A solutions-focused mindset is a must.
Why it matters:
Over 10,000 people from the UK fire and rescue community were supported last year. The charity has 45,000+ regular givers. Individual giving income already exceeds £4m and F2F has significant room to grow. The person who takes this role will be a key part of making that happen.

We are looking for an experienced fundraising and communications manager with a strong track record of income generation and communications expertise. A collaborative approach and commitment to Helen Arkell’s values is essential. You will be confident using digital technologies to support your work and have the ability to lead and deliver a fundraising strategy. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable stewarding donors and making financial asks.
Key Responsibilities
· Fundraising
o Responsibility for all aspects of fundraising for the organisation
o Development and implementation of multi-year fundraising strategy
o Lead and maintain a pipeline of opportunities across trusts, foundations and philanthropy
o Prepare high-quality, evidence-based funding applications and coordinate grant reporting and stewardship
o Maintain relationships with stakeholders including Patrons and High Net Worth individuals
· Communications
o Manage the organisations digital marketing and PR
o Oversee and manage content on the charity’s website
o Write compelling content for all social media platforms
o Oversee email marketing campaigns
o Use analytics tools to track and report on performance of campaigns
