About the Role
This role sits within the Academic Development & Standards Team and provides administrative support for the College’s education development work. The post holder will help with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of activity across CPD, Joint Speciality Fellowships (JSF), accreditation, educational consultancy, webinars, management of educational platforms (iLearn), SERI Lab.

The AU comprises around 33 staff and 120 external accreditation assessors who work across six clinical areas. St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 12 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park Hospital. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.
About this key role
You will be embedded in the hospital, providing support for those young people admitted to emergency departments right through to their discharge back into the community. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

The service provides a welcoming, calm, and inclusive space where people can access support without an appointment. Our team help with creating a recovery plans, one-to-one support by telephone or in person. The service is open 365 days a year, Monday to Friday from 5:30pm to 10:00pm, and on weekends and bank holidays from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

The role focuses on providing high-quality support to individuals in mental health crisis. You will assist clients during their stay, helping to reduce immediate distress and develop plans to prevent future crises. This includes working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary mental health services to ensure effective, multi-agency support. All interventions should reflect the organisation's values and commitment to recovery, co-production, and person-centred care, while following established policies and procedures.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission.
