We have an exciting opportunity for a Media and Communications Executive to join Save the Children UK's Strategic Communications department on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Working across our Global Impact Communications and UK Impact Communications teams, you'll help support and deliver media and communications activity that brings children's experiences, rights and needs to wider public attention. From helping ensure team processes run efficiently and effectively to researching stories and compiling messaging, you'll contribute to communications that secure meaningful coverage, amplify children's voices and help inspire change for children in the UK and around the world.

The Global and UK Impact Communications teams help strengthen our influence on decision-makers and build support for our work by engaging target audiences with powerful stories from both the UK and around the world. Through traditional, digital and social media, they amplify the voices of children, families, communities and local partners, highlighting the impacts of conflict, inequality and child poverty. They support advocacy for change in policy, practice and systems, promote international cooperation, and help grow public engagement and funding—driving action to protect every child's right to experience a safe, healthy and happy childhood.
About the role
As the Media and Communications Executive you will support advocacy, public engagement and fundraising by helping to secure media coverage, amplify the voices of children and families, and share stories from across Global and UK Impact with UK audiences.
You will provide day-to-day support to the Global and UK Impact Communications teams, helping deliver timely and engaging communications that raise awareness and inspire action for children. The role also offers flexible support across different projects and priorities as needed.

Location & Ways of Working:

About the role
The Schools Triathlon is a fun, mass participation sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2026, over 12,000 young people took part in 15 events, raising an incredible £1.8 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £8 million—making it our flagship fundraising event.
As an Assistant Fundraising Events Coordinator, this is a fantastic entry level opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career in fundraising and events management. and you’ll play a vital role in Restless Development’s close knit fundraising team, helping to deliver our flagship events the Schools Triathlon. You’ll gain hands on experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including our volunteer Schools Triathlon Committee, schools, pupils, parents, and event delivery partners. A big part of your role will involve delivering fun and engaging school assemblies, encouraging pupils to take part and fundraise for Restless Development.
Alongside this outward facing work, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support behind the scenes. This will include managing participant data in Excel, Eventrac, and Salesforce; uploading and running reports; processing donations (including cash and cheques); and ensuring our records are accurate and up to date.
You’ll also be the first point of contact for event participants and their families, providing warm, professional support through email and phone queries. We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety, can juggle multiple tasks, and stays calm under pressure. You’ll be highly organised, detail-focused, and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Purpose
The Senior Housing Advocate will lead the delivery of housing support to women affected by the criminal justice system, homelessness and housing insecurity.
The role will provide housing advice and advocacy to women, while also supporting Housing Advocates with complex cases and day-to-day advice. The postholder will build relationships with housing, criminal justice and other services to help women access and keep safe and suitable accommodation.
The role will also help develop the Future Foundations housing programme, including housing surgeries, referral pathways and new ways of working. The Senior Housing Advocate will use learning from the service and women's experiences to help improve housing support and influence wider services.

We are looking for an exceptional Chief Executive who can provide strategic and organisational leadership, strengthen Julie’s Bicycle’s voice and influence, and ensure the organisation continues to deliver impact at the intersection of culture and climate. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced Board and dedicated staff team to refine and deliver our next phase of strategy, sharpen our priorities, build sustainable income and communicate our distinctive value with clarity and conviction.
This is both an outward-facing and deeply organisational role. Externally, our next Chief Executive will be a visible and credible advocate across culture, climate and environmental networks, able to build partnerships, engage funders and policymakers, convene people around shared purpose, and speak persuasively about the role of arts and culture in responding to the climate crisis. Internally, they will inspire, empower and support a talented and values-led team, strengthening leadership capability, systems, decision-making and accountability while protecting the inclusive, creative and collaborative culture that makes Julie’s Bicycle special.
We are keen to hear from experienced senior leaders with a track record of organisational and people leadership, strategic development, partnership building and income generation. We expect our CEO to demonstrate a strong understanding of the relationship between culture, climate and wider social and environmental change, and to bring a deep knowledge and experience of the UK cultural landscape and key institutions and stakeholders, and/or a deep knowledge and experience of national and international climate policy and advocacy environments. However, we are also keen to hear from you if you are passionate about the intersection of culture and climate/environmental issues, but would benefit from a period of phased support to fully immerse yourself in the breadth of issues, sectors and contexts in which JB operates.
