About the Role

As an Independent Victim Advocate you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims to explain our service and offer ongoing support via telephone, emails or text, tailoring the support to the victims preferences i.e. home/office visits or weekly calls. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, completing risk assessments and providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with multi agency partners to provide ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff and other stakeholders.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records.
• With further training you will support children and victims of domestic/sexual abuse

About You

Ideally, you will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.

Barnardo's Swansea Supported Lodgings Service is looking for a dedicated and motivated Support Worker (Project Worker 1) to join our small, dynamic team on a full-time basis (37 hours per week).

In this rewarding role, you'll be part of a service that provides safe, bespoke accommodation and tailored support to young people within welcoming host households across Swansea. You will be working directly with young people to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to move on to independent living.

•  Experience of working with vulnerable young people and an awareness of the factors impacting on their lives (disadvantage, poverty, disability, substance use and misuse, mental health difficulties as well as loss, separation and attachment difficulties) this could be in a voluntary as well as paid setting.
• An understanding of service user support planning, monitoring and reviewing 
• Able to manage a workload and to prioritise competing demands.
• Experience of working within Safeguarding policies and protocols.

The Supported Lodgings service provides safe, supportive, short‑term accommodation for vulnerable young people aged 16 to 21 within ordinary family homes in the community. The service helps young people to develop and maintain the independence and social skills they need to successfully move on to more independent living. It also supports them to make positive use of education, training, employment, and social or recreational opportunities available to them. Above all, the service works alongside young people to help them plan for the next stage of their lives and feel confident in taking those next steps.

Job Purpose

The Group Head of Marketing and Communications is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering an excellent quality, high impact approach to integrated marketing, brand and communications across the TLC Group.

The postholder will primarily set direction and enable the team to deliver their work, with some direct input into campaigns, messaging and other outputs.

• Drive digital changes and innovative solutions to improve customer journeys, supporter retention and AI integrations/automations, helping to futureproof our growing organisation. 

Leadership and Management

• Lead the team to deliver across brands, through effective project management and prioritisation as well as ensuring alignment of stakeholder expectations against agreed objectives. 
• Develop our high-performing marketing and communications team and build connections which embed marketing and communications across the entire Group.

The role focuses on facilitating, coordinating and encouraging collaboration across the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, with a particular emphasis on youth and adult mental health provision. This includes sharing information and opportunities, gathering sector insight, and providing tailored guidance and signposting to support effective partnership working.

Our preferred candidate will be committed to developing a strong understanding of the VCFSE and Health sectors in Cheshire East. LSFRC is an accommodation-based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission. As the Training & Events Officer, you will lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of Yellow Door’s training programme and support the delivery of awareness-raising and fundraising events. The PKD Charity is looking for an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder to lead patient involvement in groundbreaking PKD research.

This is not a standard engagement role.

You will help ensure that the voices, experiences and priorities of people living with polycystic kidney disease directly influence research, clinical studies and future healthcare decisions across the UK.

PKD affects around 70,000 people in the UK. It causes kidney failure, lifelong health complications and reduced life expectancy. There is currently no cure.

About Practical Action and the GDC

Practical Action is an international development organisation putting ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world. For the past eight years, Practical Action has been hosting and building the Global Distributors Collective (GDC): a collective of 300 last mile distribution companies that cumulatively reach millions of the poorest consumers in the world with beneficial products like solar lanterns, water filters and improved cookstoves. GDC activities are delivered in collaboration with strategic and implementing partner Bopinc.

The GDC provides a collective voice for distributors to ensure their priorities are heard; drives research and innovation across the sector; facilitates the exchange of information, insight, and expertise; and provides critical services that leverage economies of scale.

Moving into our 2026-30 strategy phase, we are proactively shifting from creating and setting up advisory services and tools that support last mile distributors to embedding and scaling these initiatives. Specifically, we will focus on four key strategic pillars:

· Unlocking finance: Prepare more last mile distributors (LMDs) for investment and help to unlock country-level financing mechanisms and create LMD-focussed debt facilities. 

· Strengthening business performance: Deliver training, shared services, and data tools that reduce business costs and improve efficiency, in scalable formats.

· Scaling innovation: Identify, test, and replicate high-value business innovations and remove eco-system barriers.
