The role

The Role

Philanthropic Partnerships Lead – Trusts and Foundations (parental leave cover)

The Role

About the Role

We're looking for a Conference and Events Administrator to help deliver high-quality events. Through excellent organisation and event coordination, you'll help create inclusive experiences that bring together our community, volunteers, supporters and colleagues.
As a Conference and Events Administrator, you'll support the planning and delivery of a varied programme of in-person, hybrid and online events. Working closely with colleagues, volunteers, suppliers and attendees, you'll ensure every event runs smoothly, from initial planning through to evaluation.
At the Motor Neurone Disease Association, we support people affected by motor neurone disease (MND), improve care and fund research. As our Conference and Events Administrator, you'll play an important role in helping us deliver events that inform, connect and inspire.

The National Lottery Community Fund is delivering an environmental strategy that will not only help communities we Fund but also identifies us as an exemplar in managing our own environmental impact. It’s an exciting time to join the Fund as the Environmental Officer role will help lead our journey to Net Zero emissions as well as support our Environmental Strategy both internally and externally. An interest in climate change and an understanding of environmental sustainability in the workplace will be a key part to this role as well as the confidence to bring in new ideas and support engagement of staff.
The role will sit within the Facilities team which helps support all nine of the Fund’s offices which are based in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The candidate for this role should have passion, commitment, and enthusiasm to help deliver our Net Zero targets. They should have good communication skills as well as strong analytical and report writing skills. Previous experience of environmental sustainability within the workplace would be beneficial.
Interview details:
We have a hybrid approach to working and you will likely visit the Fund’s other offices on an ad hoc basis. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our UK offices: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or dual diagnosis issues, with a strong understanding of a range of mental health conditions, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. They will be knowledgeable about recovery-focused approaches and local mental health services, and experienced in risk assessment, case management, and working dynamically under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to engage respectfully with service users, represent the organisation externally, and deliver presentations to commissioners and stakeholders. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, support the induction of peer staff and volunteers, and build effective partnerships with statutory and community organisations. They will also possess strong organisational, time management, and IT skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and produce clear written communication. A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and empowerment in all aspects of their work is essential.
