Job Summary
The Bridge Watch Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Bridge Watch Programme Lead, contributing to the effective day-to-day running, coordination, and development of the programme.
The role plays a key part in supporting volunteers, maintaining smooth operations, and helping to raise the profile and impact of Bridge Watch across London.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Programme Administration & Coordination
- Support the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the Bridge Watch programme

Volunteer Support & Engagement
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and initial engagement of Bridge Watch volunteers

Communications, Events & Engagement

Operational & Practical Support
- Provide practical support at the Bridge Watch base, including assisting with equipment and uniforms

Monitoring, Development & Funding Support
- Assist with basic research, data collation, and reporting as directed

Role Summary:
The Smile Trian UK Senior Manager, Individual Giving leads on the development and delivery of the individual donor offline fundraising program, responsible for the acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation of individual donors through various channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing and SMS and Print. Employing a test-and-learn approach across the programme and liaising closely with the Digital Fundraising Director and the Direct Marketing Global Working Group, the role contributes to the development of Smile Train’s global fundraising strategy.
Serving as the local subject matter expert in direct marketing and fundraising data, you will translate complex data into easy-to-understand takeaways for the UK Fundraising Director and senior leadership ensuring that Smile Train is able to efficiently and effectively raise funds to continue transforming the lives of our beneficiaries.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity starting as soon as possible. Ability to travel, when necessary, for agency partner visits and organizational events is required.
Reports To: UK Fundraising Director
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UK Director of Fundraising in the development of the offline Individual Giving Strategy and other key initiatives and keep them updated and fully briefed regarding their implementation
- Line-manage the Database Manager and Supporter Experience Officer
- Develop engaging donor acquisition and retention campaigns
- Utilise data to inform and strategically target key donor segments
- Create and execute direct communications to our valued supporters
- Ensure all offline direct marketing campaigns are completed on time and within budget
- Management of all campaign delivery, including post analysis
- Reporting to senior stakeholders on performance of the offline individual giving programme
Specific Responsibilities:
Direct Mail
- Execute offline acquisition and retention campaigns including review of direct mail kit laser and insertion samples for quality control
- Effectively manage external agency partners and provide strategic direction on all direct mail campaigns
- Conduct testing to optimise creative and evaluate results to make data-driven decisions for future mail concepts
- Manage direct mail creative development, ensure brand compliance and provide directive on content/messaging
- Participate in weekly production call with creative and production agencies to review status of deliverables for all campaigns
DRTV
- Execute all aspects of Direct Response Television (DRTV) donor acquisition program, including:

- Set-up of inbound telemarketing and SMS with telemarketing agency
- Manage creative review and development
- Manage weekly performance review and provide updates and recommendations to vendor
- Review and approve media buying plans
- Manage source code assignment and upload to database
- Management of external creative, media and contact centre agencies
- Strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting
Sustainer Program
- Manage all monthly Direct Debit and other regular individual donations
- Manage the execution of the donor journey for all regular donors and the conversion, upgrade and reactivation efforts
Other Duties
- Working with external agencies, develop effective testing methodology to inform long-term investment decisions
- Execute all offline acquisition campaigns in diversification of new donor sources (e.g. Package Inserts)
- Approve cost estimates and media plans ensuring spend to budget across all campaigns
- Build and manage the offline individual giving programme budget across all channels
- Manage all invoice processing and complete monthly accruals for Finance
- Other duties as appropriate for this role.

Required Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a direct marketing role, proven track record in planning and delivering effective direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including Direct Mail, DRTV, Telemarketing, SMS and Print channels
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for this required level of education.

The Role

This is far more than a technical finance role. As a key member of the SMT, the Director of Finance will hold collective responsibility for the overall leadership, culture, performance, and strategic direction of the organisation, working collaboratively with fellow senior leaders to ensure our values shape decision-making at every level.

About You

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role. The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our North Locality – in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Wisbech. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a Mental Health, or youth work role, and with experience of managing people. The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s mental health support offer for young people aged 13-25 years, leading the teams delivering counselling and the wider, flexible emotional wellbeing offer. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services. They will develop strong relationships with local organisations and statutory services to ensure effective joint working and support for young people. This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will hold only a limited ongoing, regular case load.
The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

The Cathedral has a particular responsibility to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults in the Cathedral community. It shares this responsibility with the Diocese of St Albans. This work is wide‑ranging, and the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) plays a central role in maintaining good safeguarding practice.
This part‑time role (15 hours per week) becomes vacant as the current postholder retires after four years, with time planned for handover with the person appointed to the role now. The CSO works with senior staff and the governing body to help lead policy development, training, reporting, and compliance with Church of England guidance. They report to the Canon for Mission and Pastoral Care and receive regular professional supervision from the National Safeguarding Team, with occasional networking with other CSOs.
Safeguarding is recognised as a shared leadership responsibility. The CSO meets weekly with senior clergy to review cases and will also work with the newly appointed non‑executive Safeguarding Lead on Chapter, the Cathedral’s governing body.
A core part of the role is promoting safeguarding awareness across the Cathedral community and understanding all activities involving children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The CSO provides professional advice on concerns raised, ensuring responses follow law and national policy, and works closely with diocesan and national safeguarding teams on complex cases. They also ensure appropriate support for survivors and proper management of those who pose risk.
About You
The Cathedral is seeking candidates with strong knowledge and professional experience in relation to safeguarding issues and proven experience working collaboratively in teams.
The post will require some flexibility in working patterns and will therefore require occasional weekend working and the ability to respond to urgent cases.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification and relevant experience and expertise in child and/or adult protection.

The Open Kitchen is a community-led initiative tackling food poverty and social isolation across the UK. Our kitchens, based in Hounslow (London), Nottingham, and Manchester, provide free, hot, and nutritious meals to individuals and families affected by homelessness, low income, or displacement as refugees.
Operating seven days a week, the Open Kitchen offers more than just food it provides a safe, welcoming space where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Open Kitchen project team, the role will involve ensuring the smooth, safe, and impactful operation of Open Kitchen Manchester. Responsibilities include:
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities within Open Kitchen Manchester, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals.
- Supervise and observe the cooking facility in the Manchester Open Kitchen, ensuring compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage food inventory, kitchen supplies, and procurement processes to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
- Ensure all food standards are followed.
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to health and safety standards.

ABOUT THE AVENUES YOUTH PROJECT
The Avenues Youth Project (AYP) is an exceptional West London youth club that guides disadvantaged children and young people to explore and develop new skills, connect with their peers and our trusted staff, and find their confidence. We offer fun and meaningful after-school and holiday activities led by trained youth workers. Our facilities include training kitchen, music recording studio, podcasting studio, arts and craft room, sports hall and classrooms.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the HR Manager is a standalone role and will lead on the operational delivery of HR initiatives and will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle across our youth centre, ensuring the organisation remains an inclusive and supportive employer.
The HR Manager will also manage HR systems compliance, while supporting strategic projects that embed best practice and innovation across the organisation.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
• Lead recruitment -including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and managing the selection process- onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Provide employee relations and employment law specialist advice, including disciplinary, grievances, sickness management, capability and redundancy.
• Develop all HR policies and processes.
• Develop and co-ordinate supervision and appraisal processes.
• Plan and coordinate training opportunities, including tailored HR Workshops for line managers and personal development plans.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager in the implementation of Wellbeing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, HR best practices, safeguarding, and GDPR.
• Provide regular reporting on people metrics to various stakeholders as required.
• Manage the approved HR budget.
• Maintain and develop HR systems and data reporting.
• Support payroll accuracy and liaise with Finance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• In conjunction with your Line Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Avenues.
• Participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences, and other functions as necessary.
• Participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• Adhere to all The Avenues’ policies and procedures.
• Stay abreast of policy and developments in youth work locally and nationally.
• Always undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high-quality standard of work and in accordance with our values and role model our Behaviours Framework.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

ABOUT YOU
• CIPD Level 5 minimum or equivalent experience.
• Proven HR experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience in recruitment and selection, including competency-based interviewing and selection skills.
• Experience in advising and supporting employee relation matters, including disciplinary, grievances, sickness management, capability and redundancy.
• Strong written skills with ability to draft policies, procedures and reports.
• Experience with HR systems and data management.
• Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using MS Word, 365, Excel, PowerPoint.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working for young people, with a strong empathy with the vision, mission and values of The Avenues.
• Commitment to safeguarding.
Experience in the charity and/or youth work sector is not essential, but desirable.
