To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Cardiff Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.

Service Delivery and Development
· Develop, coordinate, and maintain a flexible, responsive, and high-quality service to support carers.
· Carry a client caseload.
· Provide individuals with clear information and guidance, enabling them to explore innovative and creative approaches to meeting their needs and achieving desired outcomes.
· Develop and deliver groups, workshops and courses for carers.
· Ensure carers are involved in development of the service and have opportunity to give feedback on the service.
· Ensure that all services are delivered in line with organisational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Leadership and Management
· Provide effective leadership, supervision, coaching, and performance management to staff, volunteers, and students on placement.
· Promote a positive, collaborative working culture that supports high performance and continuous improvement.
· Assist in the organisation and facilitation of team meetings, promoting open communication and a cohesive team environment.
Partnership Working and Collaboration
· Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and the achievement of agreed objectives.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with local and regional carers’ forums, ensuring innovative approaches to supporting families and carers are explored and implemented.
· Contribute to inter-agency working by maintaining high standards of communication and participating in relevant forums.
Advocacy and Engagement
· Advocate for the needs of carers, ensuring their voices are reflected in care planning processes across mental health and social care services.
· Promote the importance of carer involvement, in line with The Carers Trust “Triangle of Care” best practice guidance.
Quality and Performance Management
· Take overall accountability for the quality, performance, and continuous improvement of the service.
· Ensure monitoring data and information is collected and submitted on time.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
· Monitor and evaluate service outcomes to ensure effectiveness and identify areas for development.

Purpose of the Role
The Executive Assistant & Governance Officer is a critical role ensuring the seamless operation of the Pathway Fund's leadership and governance structures. This role provides dedicated, high-level support directly to the CEO, the Board of Directors, and logistical support for the Social Investment Committee (SIC). The Nystagmus Network is a small charity with an excellent reputation. For forty years, we've been the voice people turn to when they need it most. Whether that's a parent whose child has just been diagnosed, an adult navigating a new condition, or a clinician looking for a research partner with expertise in patient involvement. We've built that trust one relationship at a time, and now we're ready to grow it into something bigger.
We need a Chief Executive who sees fundraising at the heart of the charity, and as storytelling with a purpose. If you thrive on walking into a room with a funder and leaving with a partnership, you're the person for us. Securing significant income through trust and statutory bids sits at the heart of this role, and so does the expertise in demonstrating impact. Sharp, compelling reporting that shows funders and supporters exactly what their money makes possible.
We're looking for someone who can shape a communications and brand presence that matches the strength of our reputation, someone with experience in setting direction for external-facing content, comfortable working with fractional expertise to keep our voice consistent and professional, and just as comfortable being the face of that voice themselves. You'll be equally at home talking research priorities with an ophthalmologist as you are meeting a family with an unexpected diagnosis.
This is a hands-on role in a lean, ambitious organisation. You'll hold real responsibility for strategy, governance and our external profile, working closely with a supportive Board of Trustees, but you'll also be close enough to the work to take ownership of the insight and data that prove it's working. We want to hear from you if the idea of taking real ownership of all aspects of running a charity appeals to you, if you are a self starter with the skills to manage a wide range of projects and ideas.
You do not need to have been a Chief Executive before. What you do need is real sector experience, credibility with funders and trustees, and the drive to turn ambition into a deliverable plan. We are looking for an experienced, proactive, flexible, and knowledgeable Housing Support Worker to join our Housing Team. In this role, you will assess young people referred to the service and determine their suitability for New Horizon's Accommodation Pathway or private rented accommodation. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people living within our accommodation projects, helping them to build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload across multiple accommodation schemes, completing assessments, developing support plans, and working closely with young people to identify and secure appropriate move-on options into independent living in a timely manner.
