Working Hours – Either full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 22.5 hours per week / 0.6 of a full-time equivalent). If part-time, hours can be worked across 3 to 5 days depending on preference.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Delivery / Programme Operations Manager who thrives on delivering efficient and pragmatic processes, procedures and systems to support the impactful delivery of our growing suite of Financial Education and Wellbeing Workshops and Programmes. You will help us get stuff done! And deliver important functions and projects yourself.

As we grow the charity, it is ever more crucial that we break down silos and duplication between our two main delivery teams (Children & Young People and Adults). You will lead on reviewing and consolidating the two processes into one for the support functions of the programme delivery teams, initially progressing priority tasks identified for 2026 as part of our recent strategy refresh, and building a pipeline of future continuous improvement projects for 2027 and beyond.

This will be a vital new role bringing order and cohesion to the vital delivery support functions. You will own and champion key programme delivery-related functions in the charity, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and are understood and used throughout the charity. Reporting to one of the Directors, you will play a key role in bridging and where appropriate joining the two teams, whilst respecting and promoting their technical specialisms and differences.

The Role
As Head of Grants and Inclusion, you will be a senior member of the team, leading grants programmes and championing inclusive, community‑centred funding across the region.

This is a strongly external and public facing role. You will spend much of your time out in Oxfordshire’s towns, villages and neighbourhoods—visiting groups, attending community events, and building deep, first‑hand understanding of local needs. These in‑person connections are essential to how the organisation works and to the intelligence they provide to donors, partners and grantees. This leadership role will be the primary point of contact for leaders from the grassroots charities and community groups funded by the organisation. They will assess need, monitor grants, offer support, and build trusted relationships. They will be representing the organisatio at external forums and occasionally speaking to community audiences.

The Head of Grants and Inclusion is responsible for leading the organisation's grants decision‑making processes whilst ensuring fairness, rigour and inclusion. They are the key staff link with the expert Grants and Impact Committee which oversees the organisation's grant-making for the Board. They also present to and participate in monthly decision-making Grants Panels drawn from community volunteers. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organisation's funding is a key responsibility and this person will be responsible for utilising and developing the organisation's CRM database (Salesforce), including playing an active role in its upgrade. They will work closely with colleagues in the Oxford office, including attending the all‑staff day each Tuesday.

The Person
The successful candidate will have an established track record as a Senior Grants Manager in the UK and will be an organised, confident and natural relationship‑builder who believes that inclusion is essential to successful grant making.

They will have a strong educational background, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy. They will also have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and support others to deliver on time (line management experience would be an advantage).  Fantastic customer‑service mindset, with empathy for volunteers and small organisations and the confidence working with databases and systems, ideally including Salesforce and a collaborative, solutions driven approach and a willingness to get involved across the breadth of a small organisation. They will be comfortable engaging with monitoring and evaluation concepts and knowledgeable or willing to learn about their application in a grassroots context.

This person will also need a natural enthusiasm for travelling across Oxfordshire and being out in the community on a weekly basis, a willingness to attend occasional planned evening events (with time off in lieu) and a full driving licence will probably be essential. They will either be living in the Oxfordshire region or willing to re-locate.

As Legacy and In-Memory Manager you will be responsible for leading your team to drive transformational change, through the delivery of our legacy and in-memory growth strategy. 

You will set objectives and oversee team activity to deliver the entire legacy journey with the aim of achieving significant long-term growth in revenue income to support our ambitious plans to bring Maggie’s cancer care to everyone who needs us.

Our Maintenance Team is a vital part of the Asset Management function, working across multiple properties to ensure residents have safe, secure, and good‑quality homes. The team works closely with service staff to identify and complete repairs, carry out ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare empty properties for new residents.

We operate across Brighton, Guildford, East Sussex, and West Sussex, with our services centred around Foyers in Hove, Eastbourne, Hastings, Guildford, Horsham, Worthing, and Crawley. These sites provide 24‑hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25.

As Audience Engagement Officer, your role will be to liaise, communicate and deepen relationships with our local communities. Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life.

Responsibilities and Person Specification: 

This role supports the charity’s media and PR programme, helping to secure positive coverage and strengthen its reputation through proactive and reactive communications. It will contribute to the organisation’s ambition by increasing awareness, influence, and engagement with key audiences across traditional and digital media channels. 

Working within the media communications team, the post-holder will lead on media planning and PR projects, identifying opportunities for both short-term campaigns (such as report launches) and longer-term storytelling by spotting future hooks and moments to promote key messages and calls to action. The role will also support wider team strategy development and contribute to a busy and responsive press office. 

You should have experience in media relations and press office activity, including drafting high-quality media materials such as press releases, statements, op-eds and thought leadership content. You will also need strong judgement to respond to enquiries, manage reputational issues in real time, build relationships with journalists and outlets across the UK nations, and monitor, evaluate and report on media coverage.

The role:

As Community & Volunteer Engagement Coordinator you will be assisting Peter Bedford Housing Association with its current strategic aims of making a difference for Tenants and Participants and achieving more through ambitious partnerships.

Situated within the housing association’s Enterprises & Training Team, you will lead the delivery of a specific project seeking to tackle food poverty and long-term development needs such as wellbeing and social connection.

You will work alongside the Pantry Coordinator to lead on developing a wrap-around service to enable access to skills training, IAG, and volunteering opportunities for PBHA’s tenants and local communities.

In this role you will develop partnerships to help Peter Bedford Housing Association listen to community needs collaborating with groups supporting global majority individuals to co-produce activities with wellbeing and community connection at its core. A key target of this important project is to work collaboratively to ensure Peter Bedford Housing Association activities and services are increasingly accessible and relevant to any local person who wishes to join.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Identify, build, and maintain relationships with organisations supporting disadvantaged adults to develop skills and build resilience.
• Work collaboratively with local partners to co-produce services which reflect community needs.
• Organise and deliver events, and workshops that develop community cohesion.
• Oversee the delivery of exciting new activities, groups and workshops for Peter Bedford Housing Association tenants and the local community.
• Recruit & Support 15 volunteers to support with delivery of services.
• Apply learning gained through collaboration to adapt and improve the organisation’s approach to engaging individuals from marginalised groups.
• Increase Peter Bedford Housing Association’s community presence to promote its activities & services across the community.
• Monitor and evaluate impact over the course of the 1-year project.
• Develop new relationships with organisations that can support the delivery of a wrap-around service including money advice, talking therapies, pro bono legal advice and learning & development.
• Manage a team of volunteers to support with the delivery of services such as digital inclusion, events and marketing & communications.

Person specification:

 Essential:

• At least 1 years’ experience working with services promoting learning & development, wellbeing and improving people’s outcomes.
• An understanding of community engagement, poverty reduction initiatives and improving outcomes.
• Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers.
• Experience of providing training and delivering engaging presentations in public.
• Good computer literacy including the ability to use Windows applications and word processing and database packages. This also includes the ability to use the Internet and to draft and send e-mails, marketing and communications for events.
• Experience of focusing on individuals’ strengths and of learning from mistakes.
• Experience of working in an outcomes focused way.
• A demonstrable commitment to promoting social inclusion through collaboration and innovation.
• Can positively contribute and take initiative, good negotiation skills
• Able to constructively challenge and lead positive change- including with assumed constraints and the abilities of people with ongoing mental health needs.
• Promotes positive risk taking and supporting people to find their own solutions to engrained challenges.
• Good verbal, written & positive interpersonal communication skills, ensuring that stakeholders are treated with respect and dignity and are not judged.
• Organise work effectively by prioritising, planning and excellent time management.

Desirable:

• Holds a level 3 award in education and training, level 2/level 3 information, advice and guidance qualification or equivalent.

About the role

This is not a traditional MEAL role.

As our Senior Technical Officer (MEAL), you’ll be the technical backbone of our global MEAL function, designing smart data systems, building dashboards, and helping teams use data to make better decisions.

From building Power BI dashboards to strengthening logframes and automating data flows, your work will directly influence how Lumos delivers impact at scale.
