About the role
The Trust & Statutory Fundraising Officer will build relationships with funders to raise income for a variety of impactful services that transform the lives of homeless young people including; homelessness prevention, independent living skills, mental health support services, jobs, education and training opportunities and capital projects.

About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced IDVA Team Leader to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week, and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and development of an innovative city-wide service supporting parents aged 16+ and their children under 18 who are affected by domestic abuse.
Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, the service will provide specialist, trauma-informed domestic abuse support to families at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent escalation of harm and improve safety, resilience and wellbeing. The IDVA Team Leader will help ensure that families receive a flexible, whole-family response, with the voices and needs of both parents and children remaining central to assessment, safety planning and support.
In this role, you will provide leadership and day-to-day support to a team of Family IDVAs, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services. You will line manage a team of frontline practitioners, providing supervision, coaching, case guidance and performance support, while promoting a positive, confident and resilient team culture. This will include supporting case allocation, monitoring caseloads, undertaking case reviews and audits, ensuring accurate recording on case management systems, and contributing to performance reporting against service standards, contractual requirements and KPIs. You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises the safety, dignity and individual needs of families. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs, Early Help, education, health, community organisations and other statutory and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, promote access to support and improve coordinated responses for families affected by domestic abuse. You will also contribute to the service's training and engagement offer, helping to build awareness and understanding of domestic abuse amongst professionals across Birmingham's family support system.

We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive leader to provide person-centered care and support to our 13 services users. You will be based in vibrant, multi-cultural Hoxton and be responsible for the operational management and quality of the service, consisting of 13 one-bedroom flats. You are expected to collaborate with the Social Services and other stakeholders to ensure that the highest care standards are met. You will ensure an empowering service which meets the needs of our clients and works with their families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere. The ability to work in an empathic and holistic way to maintain client orientation and independence is essential. You must be flexible, energetic and reliable. We are a local provider employing a diverse team of over 100 well supported staff to deliver great services.
You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with dignified personal care and domestic tasks, and supporting individuals to access work, education and social opportunities. We value the personal skills and interests you bring to the role and to the lives of the people we support, such as, sports and outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music, and cooking to name but a few.
Previous practitioner or management experience in services for older people, people with dementia and memory loss is essential, alongside a warm, person-centered and respectful approach. You should ideally have a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Diploma in Social Work, RMN/RGN, NVQ 4/5) and/or a degree level or post-graduate qualification.
