About Brighton Table Tennis Club

Brighton Table Tennis Club is the UK’s first Club of Sanctuary and a national leader in community‑led sport. We believe table tennis is a powerful tool for connection, confidence, and social change. Every week, we work with hundreds of people across Brighton & Hove — from young people in care to adults with learning disabilities, unaccompanied asylum‑seeking children, older people, and everyone in between.

We are now looking for a Philanthropy Manager to help us grow the resources we need to keep this work thriving.

The Role

This is a key, new role at BTTC. You will lead our philanthropic fundraising, build meaningful relationships with donors and funders, and help secure long‑term support for our community‑driven programmes. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director, Finance Manager and Board of Trustees on strategic direction along with coaches, young leaders, volunteers and participants to bring their stories and impact to life.

If you love people, care deeply about social justice, and enjoy crafting compelling narratives that inspire generosity, this role will suit you.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver BTTC’s philanthropic giving strategy

  • Build strong, authentic relationships with donors, funders, and partners

  • Write compelling proposals, cases for support, and impact reports

  • Manage the full lifecycle of grants and philanthropic partnerships

  • Work with BTTC’s community to gather stories, quantitative data, and evidence of social impact

  • Represent BTTC at meetings, events, and funder visits

  • Maintain accurate records of funder engagement and grant budgets

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in philanthropy giving, fundraising, grant management, or community investment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Confidence building relationships with a wide range of people

  • Strong organisational and project management skills

  • Understanding of the charity sector and community‑led approaches

  • A genuine commitment to BTTC’s values of inclusion, equality, and empowerment

What We Offer

  • A warm, supportive, community‑centred workplace

  • The chance to be part of a nationally recognised, award‑winning organisation

  • Opportunities for professional development

  • Flexible working arrangements

  • A role where your work directly contributes to real social impact

How to Apply

If this role sounds like it is for you, we would love to hear from you.

Please send your CV and one page covering statement clearly explaining why you are interested in the role and suited to it (based on the person specification) along with why you’d like to join BTTC.

In addition, please provide the following information:

• Confirmation you are eligible to work in the UK (documentary evidence will be required before a job offer is confirmed)

• How you demonstrate your commitment to equality, diversity & inclusion.

Finally, please state your preferred working arrangement (hours, location) and email your CV and letter.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
