About the Role

As our Woodland Management Lead, you will lead the delivery of woodland management across the Western Forest, helping us bring 1,500 hectares of woodland into active, sustainable management.

This is a varied and rewarding role combining project management, technical forestry expertise, grant scheme development, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work closely with landowners, forestry agents, farmers, community groups, and partner organisations to enhance woodlands for ecological, economic, and social benefit.

• Leading woodland management projects, from planning to on-the-ground delivery

• Preparing Forestry Commission Woodland Management Plans

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We offer a range of high-quality services to young people aged up to 25, including information and support on a “drop in” basis, mental health services, counselling, housing and financial advice, sexual health support and support for young carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role.  The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our North Locality – in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Wisbech. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a Mental Health, or youth work role, and with experience of managing people.  The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s mental health support offer for young people aged 13-25 years, leading the teams delivering counselling and the wider, flexible emotional wellbeing offer. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services.  They will develop strong relationships with local organisations and statutory services to ensure effective joint working and support for young people.  This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will hold only a limited ongoing, regular case load.

The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

The Community Connectors programme is an exciting partnership between Community Links, Aston Mansfield, Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge, and the NHS East London Foundation Trust (ELFT).

Community Connectors work alongside ELFT under what is called the Mental Health Transformation Programme. The ethos of the programme is recovery focused, exploring needs through complexity (rather than diagnosis), a focus on a person’s strengths and assets, and on the wider determinants of health and wellbeing.

The role involves providing holistic support to people suffering from a serious mental illness or SMI. Service users will have a single or range of diagnosed conditions, will be known to ELFT and will therefore have a range of needs, including symptoms of anxiety or depression, or have a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Specifically, the Community Connector will work with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) who sit within primary care networks or PCNs (clusters of GP practices) across Newham, and will support people in accessing appropriate local services, embodying a true example of wrap around support.

Above all, the Community Connector will be a strong networker who is able to engage multiple stakeholders for the betterment of service user welfare and outcomes.

Responsibilities

About the role: 

• Under the supervision of CGL’s Cluster Manager, you will lead the delivery of services that empower Children, Young People, and their Families to overcome issues around substance misuse.
• The post holder will provide line management to practitioners within the service and will be responsible for the operational management and strategic development of the service.
• They will always maintain high professional standards and ensure a Young Person focused approach in all aspects of delivery with the aim of reducing harm and promoting resilience.
• They will lead by example in creating a professional and young persons focused team culture focused on excellent service delivery.
• The post holder will ensure a positive learning environment where integrity and professionalism are paramount, whilst empowering staff to ensure all attempts at positive outcomes are achieved for those using the service.
• You will support the Cluster Manager in the continual development and improvement of service delivery.
• You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partners both internally within the service and externally within a wider partnership.
• The Post Holder must have a valid UK Driving License and access to a car in order to work flexibly at various operational sites as required.

About you: 

• Experience of working with children and young people experiencing difficulties around Substance misuse.
• Knowledge of the issues facing children, young people and their families affected by substance misuse.
• Excellent knowledge of drugs and alcohol and their effects.
• Line management experience including the delivery of reflective practice.
• The ability to lead, empower and motivate a team.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices relating to children and young people and experience of embedding these operationally.
• The ability to foster new partnerships and to maintain positive relationships with partner agencies.
• Knowledge of a range of psychosocial and evidence-based interventions around substance misuse.
• Knowledge and understanding around the ‘Hidden Harm’ agenda.
• Knowledge and experience of community-based support/outreach practices.
• Ability to ensure all record keeping, outcome monitoring and data collection is maintained effectively.
• Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Respond flexibly to the demands of the post.
• The ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Show commitment to facilitating positive outcomes for young people and their families.

About the role

This is a newly created and high-impact role, perfect for someone who wants to build and drive a corporate fundraising programme with ambition. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will shape our corporate income strategy, identify exciting new business opportunities, and cultivate high-value, multi-year partnerships that accelerate our mission.

Your work will open doors, build brand visibility and unlock support from companies who want to make a measurable difference to children facing cancer across the world. A significant part of the role will be to develop new business.

What you’ll do

· Lead the development of World Child Cancer’s corporate fundraising portfolio, unearthing and securing new six- and seven-figure partners

· Develop strategic plans and a compelling suite of partnership opportunities, benefits and supporter engagement products

· Proactively engage with and cultivate relationships with new donors and steward existing funders.

· Attend key networking and industry events to build visibility and pipeline

· Work collaboratively to create powerful proposals, cases for support and investment-ready budgets

What we’re looking for

We’re searching for someone experienced in corporate fundraising, who cares about our mission, is proactive, confident and experienced in developing new business.

You’ll bring:

• A successful track record in high-value business development or corporate fundraising, including securing six-figure, multi-year support
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability and confidence to interact with new and existing companies
• Experience of successfully developing cultivation plans to engage new funders
• Ability to research and identify potential new funders
• Ability to translate complex programme detail into compelling pitches, proposals and reports
• Ability to help develop and report on project budgets

Join BBS UK and help deliver compassionate support within NHS highly specialised clinics, supporting children and families living with Bardet-Biedl syndrome.

At Bardet-Biedl Syndrome UK (BBS UK), we are dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by this rare genetic condition. Our charity provides specialist support services that help children, young people and families feel informed, supported and able to navigate complex health and care systems, working in partnership with NHS Highly Specialised BBS Clinics.

We are seeking a compassionate and organised individual to join our Clinics Support Team as a Patient Liaison Officer (PLO). This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver charity-led support within specialist paediatric clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital, working alongside NHS multi-disciplinary teams while remaining part of a close-knit and supportive charity team.

About the Role

As a Patient Liaison Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring families feel prepared, supported and heard before, during and after their clinic appointments. You will provide emotional and practical support, advocacy and system navigation, helping families to understand their care and access appropriate support, while referring more complex casework to BBS UK’s specialist Advice Service.

You will:

• Support families before, during and after NHS Highly Specialised BBS clinic appointments

• Facilitate clinic attendance by preparing families for appointments, addressing concerns and helping to reduce “Did Not Attend” rates

• Attend specialist BBS clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and St Thomas' Hospital, providing on-the-day support to families and clinicians (Approximately 2-4 days per month)

• Act as a key point of contact between families and clinical teams, supporting communication and information-sharing

• Provide light-touch advocacy, information and signposting in relation to health, education, social care and local authority support

• Identify unmet needs or emerging issues during clinic interactions and refer families to the BBS UK Advice Service for specialist advocacy and follow-up

• Support families during key transition points, particularly the move from paediatric to adult services

• Maintain accurate and confidential records using BBS UK’s CRM system (CharityLog)

• Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement and the wider work of BBS UK

This is a home-based role with attendance at clinics in central London and occasional travel to other clinic sites and BBS UK events. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with BBS UK policies.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced individual with a background in supporting children and families, who can work confidently in a clinic-based, people-facing role.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Experience working with children, young people and families, ideally within health, social care, education or the voluntary sector

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with families experiencing distress or uncertainty

• Experience providing emotional and practical support to individuals with complex or long-term conditions

• Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and work independently

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management/CRM systems (e.g. CharityLog)

• Understanding of safeguarding principles and professional boundaries

• A strong commitment to improving outcomes for people living with rare or complex conditions

Desirable Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of Bardet-Biedl Syndrome or other rare or genetic conditions

• Experience working alongside or within NHS services or multi-disciplinary teams

• Understanding of education, health and social care systems in England

• Experience supporting families affected by disability or visual impairment

• Ability to travel for work, including clinic attendance (travel expenses reimbursed)
