IT Manager

Contract: Permanent 

Salary: £36,000- £40,000 per annum, pro rata depending on experience (based on a full-time equivalent salary of £45,000–£50,000) 

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and develop our IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for the needs of the charity. Following a significant organisational structural change, you will have the opportunity to input into a review of the IT resourcing and will support the implementation of any resulting changes. 

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our IT and communications infrastructure while delivering an excellent service to colleagues across the organisation. Working closely with your team, external managed service provider and stakeholders, you'll ensure technology enables our staff to provide the best possible support to children and young people. 

This is a varied role combining operational oversight, supplier management, cyber security, infrastructure management and service delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Managing and developing the organisation's IT infrastructure across multiple UK sites.

• Ensuring colleagues have reliable IT equipment, connectivity and systems to work effectively.

• Supporting technology that enables young people in our homes to safely access education, communication and online services.

• Leading the IT helpdesk to deliver an excellent customer-focused support service.

• Maintaining robust cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.

• Managing IT budgets and ensuring value for money from suppliers and technology investments.

• Supporting ICT projects and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

• Providing occasional out-of-hours support for critical ICT incidents. 

Our IT Environment: 

You'll oversee and support an established Microsoft-based infrastructure including: 

• Windows Server (physical and virtual VMware environments, to be retired)

• Hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD migration)

• Windows 10/11 laptops and desktops

• Multi-site WAN infrastructure across the UK

• Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and SharePoint

• WatchGuard firewalls

• DrayTek routers and web filtering

• Unifi network switches

• Mimecast email security and archiving

• 3CX VoIP telephony (currently under review) 

• Third-party applications including ADP, Raiser's Edge, ClearCare, Charms, Access Finance and SolarWinds Service Desk

About You 

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership and communication skills. You should have: 

• Experience managing an IT department or IT infrastructure.

• Experience administering Active Directory (on-premises), Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Exchange.

• Experience managing multi-site IT environments and WAN connectivity.

• Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery and cyber security best practice.

• Experience managing an IT helpdesk, ideally using SolarWinds or a similar service desk platform.

• Experience leading and developing staff.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience managing IT budgets and delivering value for money.

• A flexible approach with the ability to travel occasionally to services across London and the Midlands, and provide out-of-hours support for critical ICT incidents when required.

Global Senior Mid-Level Giving Manager

Role type: Full time; Permanent

Location: Godalming, Surrey, UK (hybrid working pattern 2x days per week in the office). The office is located close to Godalming station, with direct trains from/to London Waterloo in approximately 45 minutes. 

Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)

About the role  

As our Global Senior Mid-Level Giving Manager, you’ll lead the growth and development of Compassion’s global mid-level giving programme, the Circle of Compassion (annual donations over £/$/€1,000). This is a vital role, responsible for driving the strategic direction of the programme, growing income, and strengthening donor engagement and retention.

As our Global Senior Mid-Level Giving Manager, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Leading the Circle of Compassion programme globally- Driving strategic development, ambitious income growth and expansion into priority markets.

• Delivering exceptional donor stewardship- Building strong, meaningful relationships with Circle members and supporting long-term engagement and increased giving.
• Developing donor acquisition and pipeline growth-Identifying new prospects, growing the donor pipeline and working closely with colleagues across Global Philanthropy, Individual Giving,Digital and CRM.
• Using insight to inform decisions- Monitoring performance, reporting accurately through Salesforce and optimising donor journeys to support income growth.

About you 

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring proven experience in mid-level, major donor or high-value fundraising, with the ability to lead or scale a fundraising programme and deliver clear income growth.

You’ll be a confident relationship-builder, who is able to create compelling donor communications, develop strong stewardship plans, and work collaboratively across an international fundraising team.

Skills and experience you’ll need to bring as our Global Senior Mid-Level Giving Manager:

• Proven experience in mid-level, major donor or high-value fundraising.
• Experience leading or scaling a fundraising programme, with clear income growth.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for diverse donor groups.
• Confidence using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce or equivalent, alongside data and insight to inform decisions and drive income growth.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors,colleagues and external stakeholders.
• A proactive, positive and adaptable approach, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

What you'll do

As Programme Manager, you will work to support the Programme Lead in ensuring the smooth and effective running of ShareAction’s Energy Transition Programme, which aims to contribute to tackling the climate crisis. This pivotal role will lead the implementation of effective programme management processes and systems to plan, monitor and drive programme delivery, performance and expenditure. You will also support fundraising activity, events and external stakeholder engagement for the programme and represent the programme with colleagues across the organisation to coordinate delivery, manage dependencies and ensure strategic alignment.

In this role, you will regularly engage with members of the Energy Transition team, with colleagues in other teams involved in helping to deliver aspects of the programme, and with peer Programme Managers to promote strategic alignment and cross-team learning. Forming productive internal relationships will be crucial for success; using your skills and experience to manage and coordinate our resources will help to ensure we maximise our impact. In doing so, you will support ShareAction’s progress towards its overall mission of promoting a more responsible investment system as well as achieving our climate campaign objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be highly varied: one day you could be organising the logistics and agenda for a team planning or evaluation session; the next, developing a budget for a funding proposal; and the next, helping the Programme Lead prepare for an external presentation.

About the role

The Portfolio Management Analyst is a new role at the Foundation which will support effective planning, monitoring, and governance across the Foundation’s project and programme portfolio.

The role sits as part of the new Planning and Portfolio Management team within Corporate Services, which ensures the Foundation is investing in the right work, delivering it well, and understanding the difference it makes to building a healthier UK. The team works with others across the Foundation to:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality analysis, visualisation, reporting, and insight to help leaders understand portfolio performance, risks, dependencies, and resource use. In addition, they will:

· Support portfolio governance processes, including reporting cycles, reviews, and decision forums

· Support assurance activity by checking data quality, consistency, and completeness, working closely with project/programme teams to gather accurate and timely information

· Maintain and develop our Power BI portfolio dashboards

· Assist with preparation of papers for senior leadership, Boards, or committees. Liaising with finance and delivery teams to ensure alignment of data and reporting

· Provide responsive support and guidance on Project Management Framework requirements and processes, alongside contributing to the continuous improvement of the framework

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Southampton Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Southampton Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child or young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines

Account Management & Stewardship

Business Development & Income Generation

• Develop attractive ESG partnership opportunities and other funding propositions that align with Ocean Generation's mission and strategic priorities.

Partnership Activation & Organisational Collaboration

• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to develop engaging partnership opportunities and ensure the successful delivery of partner benefits.
• Work with the Communications team to create partnership resources, campaigns, newsletters and impact content/case studies that strengthen engagement and increase visibility.
• Ensure fundraising activity complies with charity regulations, fundraising best practice, and Ocean Generation's values and ethical standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, business development/sales or account management.
• Proven ability to secure, manage and grow fundraising partnerships to achieve income targets.
• Excellent relationship management, communication and proposal writing skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with experience using a CRM and managing multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded, proactive and able to work independently within a small team.

The postholder will work closely with a wide range of partners, including homelessness service providers, local authorities, and healthcare and wellbeing organisations. They will carry a varied caseload, conducting assessments and working creatively to navigate the complex and challenging issues that can lead to clients becoming homeless, supporting them to engage with services. Working closely with SPEAR's Homeless Health Link Team, they will support colleagues with client-facing work and carry a caseload of clients requiring homelessness prevention support.

This role will be spread across 4 days per week.
