In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities.  You will report to the Head of Communications.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing and allocating part of the communications team budget, expanding team capacity, and driving the team’s effectiveness. In collaboration with other senior managers, you will help foster a culture that values creativity, innovation, and strategic impact.

Severn Hospice is a leading regional charity providing compassionate care for people living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. You will also line-manage the Legacy Fundraiser, supporting the development of legacy income as part of the wider Individual Giving programme.

We are looking for a Caretaker to join our team at Spring School.

You'll work as part of the School Business Support Team to ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained, supporting statutory compliance and operational continuity including all aspects of the site maintenance. This includes security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs, and monitoring activities in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.

You'll carry out repairs and DIY projects, as well as ensuring the school is kept clean and tidy to enable the best environment for learning. You'll conduct maintenance work in the school buildings and the wider grounds, ensuring this is effectively carried out.

• Experience or skills in a trade to support basic building repairs and maintenance
• The ability to understand and apply regulations such as Health & Safety, manual handling, COSHH water hygiene Legionella etc. or willingness to learn
• Good IT skills – Microsoft Office and particularly Outlook, email, calendaring, Excel, Word and PowerPoint or willingness to learn

The postholder will manage and develop a small fundraising team, embed high-performance standards, and drive income generation across statutory trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events, and individual giving.

 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

• Contribute to, develop and deliver a multi-year fundraising strategy to achieve sustainable income growth.
• Set and manage annual income targets exceeding £500k to £1m.
• Identify new income streams aligned to Brainkind’s service model and expansion priorities.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align fundraising with operational and strategic objectives.

Income Generation (All Disciplines)

Lead and oversee income generation across:

• Trusts & Foundations – Develop compelling proposals for health, social care and rehabilitation funding.
• Corporate Partnerships – Secure and manage mutually beneficial local partnerships.
• Community & Events Fundraising – Grow supporter-led activity nationally.
• Individual Giving & Digital Campaigns – Strengthen acquisition, retention and legacy programmes.

Team Management

• Line manage, coach and develop a small fundraising team.
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Set KPIs and ensure strong pipeline management and reporting.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

• Act as an ambassador for Brainkind externally.
• Build strong internal relationships with operations, clinical teams, finance, and communications to gather impact data and case studies.
• Work closely with marketing/communications to strengthen brand-led fundraising campaigns.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice (e.g. Fundraising Regulator, GDPR).
• Monitor ROI and cost-effectiveness across fundraising activities.

ABOUT YOU:

• Knowledge of a broad range of fundraising and charity sector activities.
• Knowledge of legal obligations for fundraising activities and all internal procedures and regulations and adherence to best practices, as defined by the organisation and Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice & Fundraising Regulator
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding fundraising income targets at £500k+ level (or comparable scale).
• Experience in managing successful campaigns, both digitally and within the community.

We are seeking an Information Security Manager to shape how our information security is built into a new environment from the outset, rather than retrofitted later.  Whilst good progress has already been made in our cyber security and information governance provision across the organisation, this exciting, new role will take the next step in managing and developing a more structured, consistent, and visible approach, seeking to embed good practice and build confidence.   

This is not a purely technical or policy focused role.  It will be responsible for ensuring our systems and information are safe, resilient, and used responsibly, helping our teams make secure choices in their day-to-day work, and educating staff to understand what this means in practice. The role will play an integral role in ensuring everything we do, and deliver, is secure by default and will ensure a practical, solutions focused approach to risk, helping teams move forward with confidence, building a positive security culture across the organisation.  

This is a key role at an important point for the organisation.  It will make a tangible impact across the work of Phyllis Tuckwell, both clinically and operationally.

The role will operate under the strategic direction of the Director of IT, Estates and Digital Transformation, while acting as the organisation’s recognised subject matter expert in cyber security and information security. They will be the trusted authority in this area, supporting teams across the organisation and providing credible assurance to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities of the Information Security Manager will include:

• Leading our approach to cyber security, risk management, and incident response
• Developing and improving our information security management system, aligned to standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus and NHS DSPT
• Identifying and managing risks across systems, processes, and suppliers
• Supporting teams to understand and apply good security practice in real-world situations
• Leading response to any cyber or data-related incidents, ensuring an appropriate and prompt response with a learning mindset
• Working with senior colleagues, including the SIRO and Caldicott Guardian, to provide assurance and oversight
• Building awareness and confidence across the organisation through training and engagement
• Ensuring security is built into new systems, projects, and supplier relationships from the outset

About the candidate

Candidates should possess a balanced skillset across technical cyber security and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) combined with the ability to translate this into clear, organisation-wide governance and assurance.  They will be comfortable with detail, whilst also providing proportionate, practical oversight at an organisational level.  They should demonstrate:

• Strong technical grounding in cyber security including networks, endpoints, identity, vulnerabilities, and incident response
• Experience in applying that knowledge to real world risk management, not just theoretical controls
• Good understanding of governance, assurance, and security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and NHS DSPT
• Ability to move comfortably between technical detail and clear, plain-English communication for non-technical audiences
• Experience in providing assurance to senior stakeholders such as risk reporting, audit, or governance forums
• An enabling, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance risk, with the need to get things done
• Strong focus on behaviour and culture, not just controls and policy
• Able to challenge constructively while helping teams find workable solutions
• Comfortable influencing across teams and building trusted relationships

Relevant qualifications or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are helpful.

We’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead an exciting new social enterprise in Lambeth — combining a busy bike repair workshop with a welcoming community café.

This is a unique opportunity to run and grow a business that not only serves the local community but also supports people with mental health challenges and other barriers to employment to gain skills, confidence and move into work.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the bike shop and café, balancing commercial performance with meaningful social impact. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll need to be proactive, organised and happy to get stuck in.

Abbevilles Bikes is part of First Step Trust, a charity with over 30 years’ experience supporting people into employment.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading daily operations across the bike shop and café
• Managing a small team and supporting volunteers
• Driving sales and working towards financial sustainability

Blood Cancer UK is looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Manager to manage a high-performing team, deliver insight-led, multi-channel campaigns, and make a real difference to the lives of people affected by blood cancer. This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for impactful direct marketing campaigns that grow individual giving and engage supporters.

As Research Communications Manager, you will set the direction for research communications, developing new ways to creatively showcase the breadth and impact of the research we fund to inform and engage diverse audiences.

You will lead how research is communicated beyond the Motor Neurone Disease Association, using owned and earned platforms, ensuring it is accurate, accessible and relevant. As Research Communications Manager, you will identify opportunities and develop new ways to strengthen understanding of MND research among stakeholders and the public. This is a new role which will rely on collaboration and building strong relationships particularly with research, communications and digital engagement colleagues.

Your work as Research Communications Manager will help people understand motor neurone disease research updates and initiatives, deepening engagement across communities and supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of external research communications across owned and earned channels
• Develop research messages, content and use of channels based on audience needs
• Champion the involvement of people affected by MND in how we communicate about research
• Create engaging content that highlights the impact of MND research funded by the MND Association and others
• Work with press and research colleagues on media enquiries and proactive coverage
• Build strong partnerships with the Research and Innovation Directorate
• Develop clear processes to support consistent, high quality and inspiring research content
• Support media training and briefing of research spokespeople
• Line manage a Communications Officer (Research) and support ongoing development

About You

• Experience translating complex scientific or research information for non-specialist audiences
• Professional writing or journalism with understanding of media and public relations processes
• Degree-level knowledge or equivalent experience in a scientific field
• Experience managing a Communications function and delivering research communications, ideally within a health charity or similar setting
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and relationship building experience across internal and external teams
• Excellent organisation skills and confidence managing priorities

Hybrid working expectations: Attend Northampton office one day per week
