The Geological Society Publishing House has an exciting opportunity within the publishing operations team for a ‘Publishing Platform Lead’ to maintain our established flagship publishing platform the Lyell Collection.

An independent and international publisher, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality service to geoscientists globally and any surplus is invested to support our discipline. We publish a diverse range of books and journals on the Lyell Collection, with over 10,000 pages of new peer-reviewed geoscience literature being made available every year.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

To oversee the smooth running of the Society’s publishing platform, which showcases our portfolio of online titles. Reporting to the Head of Publishing Operations (HoPO), you will be chiefly responsible for the management, support and maintenance of the Atypon powered Lyell Collection platform.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and stay up to date with the latest emerging platform technologies. You will be responsible for maintaining the Society’s online publishing platforms, so an understanding of a range of standard integrations, workflows, html and XML is essential.

Key accountabilities

Platform maintenance

• Oversee and maintain the Atypon Web Admin Tool (WAT) for the Society’s scholarly book and journal platform.
• Manage a queue of platform maintenance and change requests, including triage, feasibility analysis, testing and quality assurance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting platform issues to Atypon (the hosting provider), managing communications, and monitoring the support ticket system to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot platform issues reported internally and communicate resolution statuses.
• Support development of new platform features and assist with implementation and QA.
• Maintain, validate, edit, and troubleshoot JATS XML while staying current with JATS and NISO standards and ensuring vendor compliance.
• Set up new pages and journal/book series sites within the platform as needed, ensuring all new website content is consistent with site templates and branding.
• Ensure that any new developments are tested and work as per requirements, utilizing the test facilities of the platform via sandbox areas. 

Third party tools and services

• Act as the point of contact with vendors who provide supporting or downstream services for the Lyell Collection, e.g. CrossRef, Digital Science, indexing services etc.
• Oversee the smooth deposit of selected content via Zipline into the GeoScienceWorld (GSW) platform, hosted by Silverchair. This is published via multiresolution doi on both the Lyell Collection and GSW.

Accessibility

• Manage web accessibility compliance in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors by overseeing the implementation of necessary improvements in line with publishing standards and directives.
• Check that any changes in XML tagging or online display meet accessibility requirements.

About this job

The MS Society has made a huge investment in technology to implement a new CRM system to enable us to improve in use of our data and to streamline contact with the MS Community, including Services, Fundraising and directed communications. This is the Organisation’s key, central system.

90% of all funding for the charity is processed through the CRM system including Gift Aid, regular giving and special events, Direct Debits. This role is critical and responsible for the end-to-end processes working and, therefore, the income being processed and collected in a timely fashion.

The role will be part of a CRM team responsible for managing and supporting functionality and data integrity within the CRM system. The role is also responsible for managing key internal and external relationships at all levels.

The role is also responsible for delivering the 1st, 2nd line support of the CRM system as well as building import templates, workflows and that data within is clean, accessible and available.

The successful candidate is expected to be an expert in their field.

Permanent, Part Time - 21hrs Per Week 

Working hours: Role can be flexible in how hours are delivered over 3 or more days, including one early morning or evening per week to be agreed with the successful candidate. Remote working post or can be based in our central office in Fareham.

One day must include a Thursday or Friday to overlap with other psychologist role to enable peer supervision to take place.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to play a pivotal role in supporting frontline staff who work with clients facing homelessness, mental and physical health challenges, substance misuse, trauma, and social exclusion.   

Reporting to the Executive Director of Client Services and working closely with our Regional Directors and Human Resources Manager, your main responsibilities will include:  

Staff Support & Consultation  

· Provide a consultation service for support staff and managers working directly and indirectly with clients at risk of homelessness and complex needs.  

· Offer group reflective practice sessions and individual support to prevent staff burnout and reduce vicarious trauma.  

· Facilitate debriefs after incidents to help staff process events, manage emotions, and build resilience  

Leadership  

· Provide a coaching style of leadership that empowers staff to reflect, make decisions, and creatively address challenges.  

· Inspire and motivate colleagues, providing reassurance and guidance in difficult situations.  

Relationship Building  

· Develop effective working relationships with internal colleagues to enhance service quality   

· Maintain confidential, supportive environments for staff accessing the Psychology Service.  

· Raise the organisation’s profile regionally and nationally within and beyond the sector.  

Performance management  

· Collect and deliver accurate key performance data and outcome data for internal audiences

About the role

In this role we will trust you to work with other team members on a caseload of clients delivering personalised support to them. You will proactively engage with our clients and provide a hand so they can overcome barriers, move into independent living and sustain a tenancy. Our clients have a range of support needs that impact their experience of homelessness. This includes mental health problems, social isolation, challenging behaviour, finance and debt, alcohol and drug abuse. You will deliver structured support and do some risk management so we will trust you to keep proper records and complete some admin tasks. This includes, reviewing support and risk plans, involving key stakeholders where required, showing and signposting our clients to appropriate external support and services, following safeguarding procedures, do some cleaning and contribute to the delivery of a housing management service including collecting income. You’ll also resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive manner balancing the needs of the clients and the safety of the service.

Main Responsibilities Of The Role:

· Ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

· To be a supportive and effective part of the team working as part of a rota including evenings and weekends.

This role sits within the Philanthropy, Partnerships & Commercial (PPC) team, made up of Philanthropy & Trusts, Corporate Partnerships & Commercial, Special Events & Stewardship, and Fundraising Operations.

The focus of the Philanthropy & Trusts team is to build a solid base of support through excellent stewardship of existing trusts and major donors alongside cultivation of new prospects, reached through prospect research and the networks of senior volunteers.

The key purpose of the Philanthropy Manager position is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs in order ensure the long-term health of the Philanthropy pipeline. They will do this by personally managing a portfolio of key individual relationships as well as line-managing the Philanthropy Officer to deliver against their targets. This role, together with Battersea’s other Philanthropy Managers, will also work closely with senior leadership, senior volunteers and other individuals to open up networks and introduce new major donors to Battersea.

Main Purpose Of Job:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team in a dual-role capacity, supporting two vital services run in partnership with Homeless Oxfordshire and Connection Support. The role covers both our Step Down provision—designed for individuals discharged from hospital under the Discharge to Assess model—and our service at Mawle Court, which provides temporary accommodation and support for people with complex needs, including those preparing for more independent living or in need of emergency provision. You will lead on the case management of clients with complex needs, working collaboratively with partner agencies to develop and implement holistic, individualised support and move-on plans. About the Role

As a Senior Service Manager you will be working for a people-led organisation whose mission and values is to inspire change across Sussex. The Senior Management Team is responsible for the operational success of the diverse services in legal advice, housing and mental health, addiction and homelessness prevention and support.

The successful candidate for the Senior Service Manager role will join at an exciting time as the organisation continues to develop its mental health offer. The Senior Service Manager will be responsible for 63 units of supported and CQC registered accommodation, the staff that support it and the clients that call it home.

Housing management, staff development and supporting people with complex needs will be part of day-to-day work alongside chances to develop existing and new services and get really involved in the transformation of accommodation and support that is happening in the city.

You will also lead work on Safeguarding within the organisation, providing oversight, advising on safeguarding case management and reporting on performance. The Senior Service Manager will also participate in the management on-call rota.
