Job Title: Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker
Location: Lewisham. This service does not have step free access
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis Monday to Sunday working including bank holidays and alternative weekends. Shifts can vary between 08:00 - 16:00 and 13:30 - 21:30. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements.
About the Role
We're hiring a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Lewisham. New Hope is a 24 hour supported accommodation service for adult males with diagnosis of mental health and convictions. As a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. We support our residents in developing coping strategies and building supportive relationships, with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service.
You will support with tenancy matters proactively, providing responsive support and fostering a positive environment where residents feel secure and valued. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with residents, offering both practical assistance and emotional support.
- Equip residents with the necessary skills, experiences, networks, and training to help them transition into semi‑independent or independent living.
- Provide support with personal needs as required by residents.
- Take part in, and encourage residents to engage in, the delivery and development of projects, initiatives, training opportunities, and volunteering activities.
- Manage a caseload of residents, contributing to the creation and review of support plans, risk assessments, and progress reviews.
- Identify residents’ interests, needs, and preferred activities through assessments, observations, and conversations.
- Recognise early indicators of declining mental health and implement suitable interventions to prevent crisis situations.
- Promote financial and economic wellbeing while supporting residents in reintegrating into the community.
- Complete safeguarding referrals and other relevant referrals when required.
- Additional duties may include, but are not limited to: keeping environments clean and organised, disposing of waste, reporting maintenance issues, ordering supplies, and undertaking other general tasks as needed.

- Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- The ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
- Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others; Proactive in making decisions
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

About The Role
Place2Be is seeking an experienced and reflective Postgraduate Tutor to join our training team, with a particular focus on infant and child observation. The post‑holder will contribute to the delivery and development of our highly regarded BACP‑accredited Postgraduate Diploma programme, run in partnership with the University of East London. The role involves teaching, assessment and student support at postgraduate level, ensuring high‑quality learning experiences that reflect best practice in school‑based counselling, safeguarding, and anti‑oppressive practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver infant and child observation seminars and postgraduate teaching, both in person and online
- Deliver lectures, facilitate seminars, skills groups and tutorials at Level 7
- Assess written work and vivas, providing high‑quality formative and summative feedback
- Offer one‑to‑one tutorial support to trainees across the programme
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety responsibilities are upheld during training delivery
- Contribute to student recruitment, interviews and selection processes
- Support course development, quality assurance, standardisation and accreditation requirements
- Attend meetings, supervision and external moderation as required
- Promote Place2Be’s clinical and training work internally and externally
What You Will Need
- A postgraduate qualification (MA/Postgraduate Diploma) in counselling or psychotherapy
- At least 2 years post qualification experience of clinical counselling work with children and young people
- Professional accreditation or registration (BACP accredited, or UKCP/HCPC registered)
- Direct experience of both infant and child observation supported by a classroom experience/ seminar learning experience

We are looking for a compassionate and thoughtful person interested in providing support to a diverse
community of artists. You might be someone looking to step up into a management role or you might

Working directly with individuals, the post holder will help Nurses, Midwives, Nursing Associates, Healthcare Assistants and Maternity Support Workers to build financial literacy, develop budgeting skills, set realistic financial goals, and improve money management. The role combines one-to-one coaching with group workshops and digital support, helping people to gain confidence in managing day-to-day finances and planning for their future. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Head of Services and Impact and the wider Cavell team to ensure our financial wellbeing support is impactful, accessible and evidence based.
This is a 2-year fixed term post, 15 – 18 hours per week. It can be home based or hybrid, although we would expect visits to our Redditch office at least once a month.
Main Responsibilities
Financial Coaching and Support:
- Deliver one-to-one financial wellbeing coaching to eligible beneficiaries.
- Support individuals to improve financial literacy, budgeting and goal setting.

You will work closely with a wide network of main contacts and partners, including PCFT GM Resilience Hub, TRC, Greater Manchester Rape Crisis, Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH), local authority partners, third‑sector organisations, multi‑disciplinary teams, service users and carers, and services across the adult mental health pathway.
The role operates across three sites within Greater Manchester, making the ability and willingness to travel between sites essential. You will work flexibly in partner organisation settings and in the community, collaborating with individuals, carers and multi‑agency providers to assess and identify social care needs that may present barriers to clients addressing their sexual trauma.
