Who we are: Brake is the national, acclaimed charity delivering the National Road Victim Service, a specialist, accredited, UK-wide support service for road victims, delivering case-managed care for anyone who has been bereaved or seriously injured in a road crash or who is supporting a road crash victim.
Not your average job: This is a highly specialised frontline role supporting people affected by traumatic road deaths and life-changing injuries. We are seeking candidates with a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and experience supporting people through the impact of traumatic bereavement and/or injury.
You will provide a specialist trauma-informed and bereavement-informed approach to care, helping individuals and families navigate the immediate and long-term impact of sudden loss or catastrophic injury. The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. You will be responsible for the safety, welfare and engagement of the children and young people participating in sessions, ensuring all activities are inclusive, accessible and delivered to a high standard and complete admin, monitoring, evaluation and feedback associated with your sessions.
The role will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the farm, supporting animal care and site maintenance through educational and therapeutic sessions and community activities in line with the Oasis ethos.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
· Relevant qualifications or experience in animal management or outdoor learning.
· Relevant qualifications or experience in youth work, teaching, or community-based projects.
· The flexibility to work across the week, including school holidays. This may include occasional evenings and weekends but time off in lieu would be given if this was necessary.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· IT literate and able to complete
· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.
· Punctuality, reliability, and honesty.
· Ability to always evidence the Oasis ethos and values.

About the role
Using your legal expertise, you will play a key role in tackling housing in justice and unfair housing practices. You will be working under our Legal Aid contract, delivering legal advice and representing tenants at court where needed. Delivering systemic change through legal challenge to prevent homeless will also be a considerable part of the role. You will also work with the team in the Hub to help make sure people in the community are aware of their housing rights and how to enforce them, as well as providing support to Trainee Solicitors and Legal Advisers, ensuring good practice and compliance.

About The Team
Our Legal Service provides specialist legal knowledge across Shelter through four teams covering Community Legal advice, Strategic Litigation, and Legal Support Team. You will be part of our Community Legal Team, who are based across our 11 hub locations and work alongside hub colleagues every day to fight housing injustice and deliver systemic change relating to housing practice in our local communities.
Shelter Sheffield has a housing legal contract as well as a contract to deliver the County Court Housing Loss Prevention Advice Service at Sheffield and Doncaster. You will be based in the Sheffield community hub which has the overall aim of preventing homelessness and improving homelessness services for the people of South Yorkshire.
The advice and support team in Sheffield has been established for over 20 years, taking a holistic approach and focuses on emergency homelessness, support for children, families and people experiencing domestic abuse, as well as those with multiple and complex needs.

The project aims to offer accessible telephone-based advice and support, with a particular focus on benefits and housing issues. Clients access the service through a range of referral and access channels, enabling advisers to provide timely, high-quality guidance and support to meet their individual needs.
The role involves providing comprehensive benefits advice, with a strong focus on income maximisation. Responsibilities include carrying out benefit entitlement checks, completing benefit applications, and assisting clients with mandatory reconsiderations and appeals. In addition, the service offers advice across a broad range of issues, requiring advisers to provide guidance, practical assistance, and support at a general advice level while ensuring high standards of client care and service delivery.
