​Neuthread: where reharvested waste becomes ethical fashion

​Daisy Chain has launched Neuthread, a pioneering community sewing and social enterprise project that transforms reharvested fabrics and garments into high-quality, sustainable fashion. Alongside reducing textile waste, we create training, jobs, and meaningful work for autistic and neurodiverse people.

We are now seeking a skilled machinist to join our eco-manufacturing team. This is a fast-paced, production-focused role, working with a variety of textiles on industrial sewing machines and overlockers to produce garments and upcycled products with speed, accuracy, and a consistently high-quality finish.

You will work closely with the Lead Machinist, following agreed workflows and helping to deliver ambitious production targets in terms of both quality and quantity. As part of the team, you will:

• ​Ensure all items are completed on time, to specification, and to a consistently high finish.
• ​Support the smooth day-to-day running of the production line, including fabric selection, handling, and machine maintenance.
• ​Work collaboratively to build a positive, inclusive, and creative workshop culture that aligns with Neuthread’s sustainable brand ethos.

​KEY TASKS

• ​Meet daily and weekly production targets for garments and upcycled products, ensuring all items are completed to specification, on time, and to a consistently high finish.
• ​Operate a range of industrial sewing machines and overlockers with precision and efficiency, carrying out sewing, stitching, and finishing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• ​Work from set patterns and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all garments produced.
• ​Prepare and process textiles (cutting, sewing, finishing) to maximise speed and throughput while maintaining high quality standards.
• ​Support the smooth running of the production line, including fabric handling, machine maintenance, and workflow efficiency.
• ​Communicate effectively with the Lead Machinist and production team to prioritise workloads and resolve any production issues quickly.
• ​Ensure all garments meet Daisy Chain’s brand standards for quality, durability, and finish before release to retail.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Customers Services you will:

· Monitor and where necessary promote improvements in compliance against our complaints and compensation policies, ensuring timely and high-quality responses

· Support customer facing teams to maintain a positive complaint handling culture and service through training, sharing data and good practice

· Lead on liaison with the Housing Ombudsman, ensuring all enquiries are responded to and that CHS learns from cases.

· Analyse complaint data and identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement

· Support continuous improvement across the complaints process and customer experience

· Prepare our internal and external reporting and self-assessments and ensure they are published on time.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The Supporter Care Coordinator will provide exceptional supporter care and key administrative support to the fundraising team, particularly membership, to maximise engagement and income from supporters of Somerset Wildlife Trust by:

Supporter care:

• Being the first point of contact for the majority of our supporters and offering first-class stewardship to ensure our members and donors feel well-supported.
• Maintaining the highest standards of supporter care, including when responding to enquiries, judging when to involve colleagues to maximise potential support and income.
• Providing efficient data entry and administration, including for membership, fundraising appeals, community fundraising and events, processing all donations, including credit card payments and cheques, accurately.
• Supporting the Fundraising Data Specialist with the efficient processing of monthly Direct Debit and Gift Aid claims. Assist in financial reconciliations.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the online shop, which includes the management of the website presence, fulfilment of all shop purchases and payments, and developing new products/adoptions as agreed with the Fundraising Development Manager.
• Being able to manage multiple tasks and requirements whilst demonstrating excellent time management
• Demonstrating good problem-solving skills and being able to work independently to deal with most enquiries and issues arising during the day.
• Providing administrative support for the Fundraising team.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the Trust’s supporter database (Raiser’s Edge), including by uploading new memberships, donations and event attendees and updating records.
• Work with other team members to manage the recording of fundraising activity and income to help them become confident users.
• Producing electronic member retention letters and working with the Fundraising Data Specialist to make other improvements to processes to maximise effective use of Raiser’s Edge.
• Assisting in the ongoing development and improvement of Raiser’s Edge and in the support of other teams using the system.
• Supporting Fundraising colleagues with other systems used in the day-to-day work of the team.

Stakeholder relationships:

• Managing the day-to-day relationship with our membership recruiters at SWWFL, including the member upload processes, maintaining data quality, providing additional equipment and resources, and organising SWWFL team days and inductions.
• Managing stock levels and organising the printing and updating of membership materials. Liaising with suppliers to gather quotes and order new materials.

What you'll do:
- Ensure all live and test application environments are maintained in compliance with Look Ahead's IT policies and guidelines to meet business needs by working with colleagues and the Business Systems Manager to manage system security and coordinate system changes, patch installations, database copies and upgrades, as applicable.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional & collaborative individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). You will benefit from a strong donor portfolio, opportunities to work on 7- and 8-figure gifts, and a good understanding of philanthropy from senior leadership within the Institute.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.

The team will play a crucial role in the delivery of the University’s ambition to significantly scale philanthropic income for faculties, as we prepare to launch our next major fundraising campaign in 2027 and mark the university’s bicentenary in 2029.

We will build on our already successful fundraising to achieve ambitious new goals for philanthropy – creating strong partnerships across campus and with donors, to realise shared priorities and deliver strategic impact.

The successful candidate will work highly collaboratively with academic and professional service colleagues across King’s to secure significant philanthropic income to support student outcomes and drive world-leading teaching and research.

Study of the mind and human brain is one of the most exciting and important areas of advancing medical science, and the IoPPN is a leading centre for mental health and neuroscience research in Europe and the largest in the UK. In partnership with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the largest mental health service provider in the UK, it enables the rapid translation of research into clinical practice that makes a difference to people’s lives and mental health every day. Research from the IoPPN has led to the creation of much needed therapies for some of the most severe mental disorders and changes in how governments around the world think about mental illness.

A strong understanding of philanthropy from leadership within the Institute, combined with world-leading research has made, and continues to make, an impact on how we understand, prevent and treat mental illness, neurological conditions and other conditions that affect the brain. 

This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office & on IoPPN campus sites at Denmark Hill and London Bridge. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

About the Role

As a Caseworker you will provide high quality support to victims of crime and anti-social behaviour, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also contribute to providing cover for the local VS Helpline.

During initial training and whilst awaiting police vetting the successful candidate will be required to work 1 day a week from our office based in the Vassall Centre in Fishponds, Bristol. When vetting has completed the job location will be Keynsham Police Station, with occasional working days from the Vassall Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred victims.

• The Newcastle Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. Right now, we are looking for a Specialist Intervention Worker to play a pivotal role in our Domestic Abuse Services across London

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role provides specialist interventions to women living in refuge with multiple needs who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence. Holding a caseload across a number of refuges providing emotional and practical support and advocacy to the women accessing the refuge.

You will build strong partnerships with a range of statutory and community organisations, including mental health services, substance misuse teams, housing providers, healthcare professionals and voluntary agencies, to ensure women can access the support they need to recover and thrive. You will lead wellbeing-focused activities across refuge services, facilitate group programmes and community meetings, and support women to engage with services, appointments and opportunities that promote confidence, independence and social inclusion.

Using Hestia's trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, you will provide personalised assessments, safety planning and strengths-based support for women with complex needs. You will deliver crisis interventions, support women to access therapeutic, financial and housing-related support, and help them develop move-on goals that enable long-term recovery and independence. You will maintain accurate case records, uphold confidentiality and GDPR requirements, and work closely with refuge teams to share knowledge and build confidence in supporting women with multiple support needs.

What you'll do:
- Ensure all live and test application environments are maintained in compliance with Look Ahead's IT policies and guidelines to meet business needs by working with colleagues and the Business Systems Manager to manage system security and coordinate system changes, patch installations, database copies and upgrades, as applicable.

- Provide application configuration, support, and administration for Nourish (Care plans) and Camascope (eMARS), and cover for other key business systems including MHR's iTrent (Recruitment, HR & Payroll), Cx (Housing Management & Customer Support Plans), OnTrack (Domestic Abuse) and any other applications and products being deployed through the Digital Transformation programme.

- Act as the subject matter expert and coordination point for Nourish and Camascope specific support activities, including updating support tickets and associated details and responses via the ticketing system.

- Manage ticket and incident escalations, as appropriate.

- Support the application owners, business users and team members with the building and running of reports from Nourish and Camascope when required for urgent organisation needs, such as regulator requirements or responding to serious incidents.

We have an incredibly rewarding and meaningful opportunity to join us as a Community Development Coordinator with a focus on lived experience and involvement covering the whole of the Kingston area, working 21 hours per week.

This is a community-based role involving regular travel across the area including local home visits, meetings, and direct support, with the flexibility to work from home based on business and community needs.

This role plays an instrumental part in making strong trusted relationships with people affected by dementia, families and carers within communities and diverse groups to support them to attend workshops and focus groups or community networks, Alzheimer's Society have a commitment to working with people with lived experience. This ensures that we create and adapt our services to be meaningful and reflect the needs of our service users. This role helps to embed this value and a improve dementia awareness and inclusivity in our communities, businesses and with stakeholders. 

The successful individual will be working with the support of the team to ensure that individuals, local communities and health services have access to vital information about dementia support, ensuring that lived experience remains a real focus in local communities.

This is a highly rewarding and outward-facing role, focused on building strong relationships across diverse communities. You will engage and network with people at all levels—from senior healthcare professionals to people affected by dementia, their families and carers. Through community-specific workshops, awareness sessions and partnership working, you will help reduce health inequalities and improve access to dementia support across Essex.

You will be joining an established, knowledgeable and well-respected team, sharing learning, insight and best practice. Our work is rooted in communities, and we have built trusted relationships with local partners, professionals and people affected by dementia.
The service is recognised for its commitment to working collaboratively to ensure dementia support reaches those who need it most, including underrepresented and seldom-heard communities. This role involves significant time spent working directly in communities. You will identify opportunities to promote services, build trust, facilitate workshops and strengthen local networks to improve dementia awareness and support.

About you

You will have:

- Support and enable community members and volunteers who wish to run groups, events or activities, working alongside and empowering them to take action.
- Work flexibly, including some evening and weekend work, to meet community needs and attend events.
