What will you do in the role?

• Assess client needs and suitability for accommodation in the private rented sector and/or supported housing via in-person meetings 
• Provide advice, guidance and support over the phone, in person, and via email to clients and stakeholders
• Arrange viewings of suitable properties with clients and liaise with agents and landlords
• Make referrals to hostels and supported housing
• Assist clients to access grants and with benefit claims
• Support clients with issues such as rent payments, liaising with landlords and dealing with neighbours
• Update client records and referrers using our CRM system, In-Form.
• Work with the team to keep improving the service

About the Giving Directorate and Net Zero Carbon Programme
The Church of England ministers to every community in England, and our mission and ministry is sustained and expanded through a culture of generous giving.

The Giving Directorate plays a vital role in equipping dioceses, parishes, and clergy with the tools and confidence to encourage generosity. Through strategic leadership, innovative resources, and collaborative partnerships, we aim to inspire giving that enables the Church to flourish in every community. We lead major funded projects that strengthen giving across the Church, ensuring that generosity is central to mission and ministry.

The growing department has four teams: Innovation & Insight (leading on innovations, the parish share project, data analysis and marketing); Parish Giving Scheme (giving mechanisms and technology); NZC Fundraising (including policy, philanthropy and gifts in wills) and Learning & Development (delivering training, mentoring, and equipping clergy and diocesan giving advisors, national and regional conferences, and developing online learning resources for parishes).

What you'll be doing

As the National Fundraising Policy and Compliance Lead you will be the strategic lead for ensuring a strong culture of fundraising compliance and best practice within the Church of England. You will work within the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team, which co-ordinates the biggest national fundraising programme within the Church of England, to support them to raise significant funds for the Net Zero Carbon Programme in an ethical and compliant way. You will also work with the Giving Directorate to ensure compliance across all their activities. You will create guidance, tools and resources that dioceses and local parishes can use to ensure they are compliant with key fundraising regulations, and create and deliver the training and case studies to support them. This role will involve building relationships with an extremely broad range of people, with a very strong focus on the people who participate in our services. The communications officer role also involves many of the ‘bread and butter’ tasks of an effective communications function: content production, analytics, social media management and so on. We are currently in the midst of a full-scale overhaul of the QSA website.

To develop the communications output of QSA across all platforms, supporting delivery of the aims of QSA’s organisational and fundraising & communications strategies. To centre QSA’s communications work in an ethical storytelling approach.

1. To contribute to a plan and timetable for QSA’s communications work.

We're hiring a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Lewisham. New Hope is a 24 hour supported accommodation service for adult males with diagnosis of mental health and convictions. As a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. We support our residents in developing coping strategies and building supportive relationships, with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. 

You will support with tenancy matters proactively, providing responsive support and fostering a positive environment where residents feel secure and valued. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. The Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Worker will provide person centred assistance during the transition from custody to community integration. By following the Critical Time Intervention model the CTI Worker will collaborate with a range of services to enable the individual to access them and use a range of appropriate interventions to assist the individual to become more independent and connected.

We’re looking for a Head of Communications & Marketing to advance greater public understanding of humanism by reaching new and growing audiences. The role also comes with strategic responsibility for improving brand awareness and driving sales for key products and brands, including Humanist Ceremonies (non-religious weddings, funerals, and naming ceremonies), the award-winning New Humanist magazine (est. 1885), podcasts, books, and a nationwide programme of prestige events and festivals.

This is a senior role with real scope. You will lead our communications team across print, digital, events, and marketing, and make sure what we put out is clear, compelling, consistent, and rooted in our purpose. As well as marketing, this role has responsibility for content, including for our website and social media channels, making sure these are updated with high-quality, accessible, engaging, and well-optimised educational and brand-building materials pitched at a range of target audiences.

This role is about leadership as much as delivery. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clear organisational communications grid, and for working closely with colleagues across the organisation, particularly the Head of Press & Campaign Communications and the Head of Fundraising, to make sure our messaging, brand, and tone are joined up and effective.

• Proven experience in supplier, account, or partnership management.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Gift-in-Kind Efforts

• Work closely with the Wishgranting Partnerships Manager to identify and secure new Gift-in-Kind partners. This involves helping to target potential suppliers that align with the Wishgranting team’s needs, preparing pitch materials, and participating in negotiations.
• Assist in articulating the benefits of Gift-in-Kind contributions to potential partners, demonstrating how such partnerships can help fulfil the organisation’s mission to grant impactful wishes while offering value to the supplier.
• Collaborate on creating tailored proposals that showcase how partnerships can reduce wish costs, strengthen community impact, and support organisational growth.
• Work closely with the Wishgranters to ensure Gift-in-Kind is utilised against wishes, and ensure the correct quality control measures and supporter stewardship journeys are followed to deliver a consistent and sector-leading supporter experience.
• Support the Wishgranting Partnerships Manager to develop the GIK solicitation processes
• Develop and report on a pipeline of GIK supporters, ensuring that retention rates, supporter experience and journeys, including reward and recognition, are aligned with goals.
• Along with the Wishgranting Partnerships Manager, work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure non-wish related Gift In Kind opportunities are maximised, and that cross-organisational future opportunities are identified

Supplier Account Management

• Maintain regular communication with Wishgranting suppliers to ensure alignment with the organisation’s needs, address any issues, and provide updates on mutual goals and expectations.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into the organisation’s operations and fully understand the mission, values, and expectations.
• Develop and execute stewardship plans that keep suppliers engaged and motivated, show appreciation for their contributions, and foster long-term loyalty.
• Act as a primary point of contact for resolving any issues or disputes with suppliers, ensuring conflicts are handled professionally and in a way that maintains positive relationships.
• Ensure suppliers adhere to all contractual obligations, quality standards, and timelines. Regularly review contracts and processes to ensure they are up-to-date and reflect the Wishgranting team’s needs.
• Work with suppliers to develop efficient and effective Wishgranting processes.
• Create guidelines for the Wishgranting team, including creating Form Assembly forms and Wishgranting email templates.
• Regularly review and update the Wishgranting manual guidance and Wishing Well for each wish type.
• Deliver training and provide updates to the Wishgranters on new supplier processes.
• Place purchase orders with Wishgranting suppliers, track progress and expedite deliveries.
• Liaise with Wishgranters, suppliers and Wish Families to organise the delivery of items/services, as required.
• Support with post-wish financial administration and processes, including raising invoice requests, chasing outstanding payments, coding as required, and creating thank you letters and receipts.

Tech and Process Optimisation

• Utilise and optimise technology platforms to manage supplier accounts and the GIK inventory, streamline processes, and ensure that all data related to supplier performance, contracts, and contributions is organised and accessible.
• Work with the Wishgranting Team Manager to continuously seek opportunities to automate routine tasks related to supplier management, such as invoicing, stewardship, or managing contracts, to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement and manage tools that facilitate better communication and collaboration between suppliers and the Wishgranting team, ensuring a seamless flow of information and reducing the likelihood of errors or delays.
