You will:
Effectively manage and provide a pro-active, high quality frontline service to male victims of domestic abuse. You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of MARAC and multi-agency partners when required. This role requires a specialist understanding of the barriers faced by male victims of domestic abuse and harmful practices. We particularly welcome applicants who are male, as they are under-represented in the provision of support to domestic abuse victim survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk
- Ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
- Be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concerns.
- The role will work collaboratively with the Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of the business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.
- Manage a small team, conducting supervision and case reviews to ensure safe practice.
- Carry a caseload, supporting male domestic abuse victim/survivors to increase their safety.
- Develop relationships with partner agencies in this area.
About You:
Ideally, you will have knowledge of migration and asylum routes and the procedures for applying for refugee/asylum status in the UK, legal remedies for domestic abuse victims and have experience of working with housing, homelessness, drug, alcohol, mental health issues and have an understanding of the benefit system.
You will need:
- Experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations, having worked with victims of domestic violence & abuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, legal responsibilities and GDPR & data protection regulations.
- Have strong crisis management skills to support staff dealing with stressful and difficult situations
- Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard
- A passion for working with male victim/survivors
- Experience of working with housing agencies or in a housing setting is advantageous

The role
We are looking for a Communications and Outreach Assistant (maternity cover) to support ELF’s communications and engagement activities over a 12-month period.
This early-career role blends digital communications with hands-on outreach. You will help produce content for social media and newsletters, support patient education activities and contribute to building strong relationships with individual patients and patient organisations around the world.
Our communications evolve in response to audience needs and the changing digital landscape. We are looking for someone confident in a dynamic environment, eager to contribute ideas and motivated to learn and grow. Whether your strengths lie in content creation, community building or inclusive outreach, there is space to grow and shape your work.

What you will do:

Develop and share engaging social media content (graphics, posts, reels) to raise awareness and encourage participation

Coordinate and edit ELF’s bi-monthly newsletter, reaching 12,000+ subscribers with relevant and timely updates

Keep website content current and accessible, using WordPress and lay language principles

Write and suggest news items on a variety of topics, from the latest medical research and policy to patient activities and achievements.

Support education outreach, ensuring materials are translated and published in multiple languages to reach patients and families across Europe

Build and manage relationships with individuals and patient organisations through email, phone, video call or in-person at events

Help coordinate patient-led events and drop-in sessions, managing logistics and ensuring inclusive participation

Encourage patient and public involvement in ELF’s projects, surveys and opportunities

Assist the wider team with administrative tasks as needed
What we are looking for:

Some experience in communications and/or outreach (through study, volunteering or previous roles)

Strong people skills—confident, compassionate and able to connect with a wide range of audiences

Excellent written communication, with the ability to turn complex ideas into accessible content

Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
-
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Canva; basic WordPress skills are a bonus, although training is available

Interest in health communications, education equity or patient advocacy

Willing to pick up the phone and engage directly with patients and stakeholders

Some experience engaging with communities, with an understanding of grassroots outreach and how to encourage participation and connect people with relevant information and opportuntiies

About the role
We’re looking for a Junior Data Scientist to support the Health Insights team in delivering high‑quality health and research insights that inform organisational decision making.
As a Junior Data Scientist you’ll help identify opportunities to apply data science, develop models and analytical pipelines, collaborate with data scientists on analytical projects, and contribute to the development of our tools and ways of working.
You will extract and analyse data from multiple sources, create meaningful insights and explore the latest methodologies within the machine learning and natural language processing space. You will share your expertise and present any key findings to stakeholders at BHF.
About you
With a qualification in a quantitative field or equivalent industry experience, you’ll have a strong understanding of data science techniques (advanced analytics and machine learning) covering areas such as predictions and natural language processing.
You’ll have experience of working with data- either statistical modelling or using a programming language such as R, Python, SQL or similar. A logical thinker you’ll be comfortable using advanced analytics and data science techniques to predict patterns and trends from complex data sets.
With strong communication skills, you will communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise way to technical and non-technical audiences.
You’ll have a proactive approach to learning and stay up to date with the latest data science practices.
You will be working closely with our Research Insights & Impact team, so experience with research funding, outcomes or impact data would be beneficial.

Working arrangements
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About the role
This senior leadership role provides strategic and operational oversight of WGN’s Clinical Services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, high-quality, survivor-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapeutic support for survivors of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
As Head of Clinical Services, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering individual therapy, group work, body-based therapies and web-based counselling within WGN’s intersectional Black feminist framework and Holistic Empowerment Recovery (HER) Model. You will shape the strategic direction of clinical services, strengthen partnerships, embed strong clinical governance and safeguarding practice, and foster a culture of collective care, reflective practice and anti-oppressive leadership.
This role combines strategic leadership, service development, clinical oversight and people management to ensure WGN’s therapeutic services remain sector-leading, accessible and survivor-led.
About you
As Head of Clinical Services, you will:

Provide strategic and clinical leadership across all therapeutic services, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based and non-pathologising support within an intersectional feminist framework.

Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, line managing senior clinical staff and embedding reflective practice, wellbeing and anti-oppressive leadership.

Hold responsibility for safeguarding and risk management as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust case oversight and partnership working to keep survivors safe.

Drive service development and innovation, using data, survivor feedback and best practice to shape responsive therapeutic pathways and specialist trauma interventions.

Ensure equitable and inclusive access, strengthening referral pathways, managing demand with service managers and reducing barriers for marginalised survivors.

Oversee monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with professional standards and funder requirements and using learning to improve services.

Build partnerships and sector influence, representing WGN externally and contributing to training, knowledge-sharing and policy discussions.

Embed survivor voice and co-production across service design, delivery and development.
