YEF Detached Youth Work Area Lead

For over 30 years, we've built those relationships through detached youth work - meeting young people where they choose to be, listening deeply and creating opportunities for belonging, belief and hope.
We're now looking for an experienced Detached Youth Work Area Lead to join our team and play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious detached youth work research pilots.
M13 is leading the Greater Manchester consortium delivering the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) Detached Youth Work Pilot. The Pilot aims to build a strong evidence base for detached youth work, combining outstanding frontline practice with rigorous evaluation to shape the future of youth work nationally.
Reporting to the YEF Detached Youth Work Project Lead, you'll lead detached youth work across two/three neighbourhoods within M13's delivery of the pilot. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality detached youth work, modelling excellent relational practice, supporting less experienced colleagues through day-to-day practice, contributing to monitoring and evaluation, and building positive relationships with young people, local residents, community organisations and partner agencies.
This is first and foremost a frontline detached youth work role. You'll spend much of your week in parks, streets and neighbourhoods, building trusted relationships with young people through conversation, consistency and purposeful informal education. Alongside this, you'll help ensure high-quality implementation of the YEF Shared Practice Model within your neighbourhood patches, contribute to monitoring and reporting and work closely with the Project Lead and wider team to support the successful delivery of the pilot.
We're looking for someone who is an experienced detached youth worker, confident leading excellent practice and passionate about relational youth work. You'll be organised, reflective and proactive, with experience of taking responsibility for detached youth work within a neighbourhood, maintaining high-quality records, building effective local partnerships and supporting colleagues through encouragement, reflection and shared learning. Most importantly, you'll share our belief that relationships are the foundation for meaningful change.
This is a 22.5-hour per week, office- and community-based role (M13's full-time week is 37.5 hours). Your week will include six detached youth work sessions (three afternoons and three evenings), alongside planning, monitoring, partnership working and reflective practice. Some flexibility can be offered around when office-based work is undertaken, where operationally possible.

As Marketing Officer, you will join the Business Development, Marketing and Communications Manager and Communications Coordinator to form a small yet dynamic and effective marketing team. Together you will support the marketing activities for the National Society for Education and the sub teams within it. These include the Professional Learning Group, Growing Faith, Partnerships & Engagement, Education Policy and SIAMS teams.
- Assist in maintaining the social media content calendar and creating and scheduling approved content across the NSE channels.
- Provide support in identifying key audience groups and tailor content to ensure relevance and engagement.
- Support the preparation of monthly marketing reports with social media analytics so we can monitor engagement and performance of campaigns.
- Support in market research activities to inform future marketing activities.
- Keep up to date with current market trends relating to the education sector.
- Provide support to the Communications Coordinator in updating and adding content to the NSE website.
- Occasionally use templates to design assets for external marketing activities.
- Occasionally provide marketing support and training to team members and partners.
- Occasionally attend in-person events to gather marketing material and schedule live socials.
- Occasionally support at film- and photo-shoots to create content that promotes our work.

We’re excited to be recruiting for a key leadership position supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in the North West region (covering delivery in Greater Manchester and Bradford).With accountability to the Oasis Community Partnerships CEO the role of the Regional Youth and Community Director has three main functions:
1 Strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams

As a Safe House Advocate, you will provide high-quality emotional and practical frontline support to residents who have experienced trafficking and modern slavery, including sexual and criminal exploitation, domestic servitude, and other forms of exploitation. You will manage a caseload of female survivors within the National Referral Mechanism, advocating on their behalf to ensure access to ECAT rights and supporting them to navigate complex systems. Your role includes conducting regular safeguarding risk assessments, maintaining detailed case records, and responding promptly to incidents or urgent issues to protect residents' safety and wellbeing. You will carry out daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks to ensure the accommodation remains secure, while also covering other safe houses as needed and supporting new staff members. Your responsibilities extend to liaising confidently with public and private services, writing official correspondence to agencies such as the Home Office, and keeping up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and child welfare considerations. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings, supervisions, clinical support sessions, and mandatory training, all while working to help survivors maintain positive and safe relationships with their children.

The role
We are seeking a dynamic senior campaigns and communications officer to drive our public impact. You will lead communications for our high-profile FairChecks campaign for criminal records reform, coordinate our popular podcast, and elevate the digital presence of Transform Justice. This is a multi-faceted role combining grassroots movement-building, digital marketing, and creative content production.
The role is home-based and you will use your own equipment, so you will need to be able to work on your own with little day-to-day supervision. There is the option to work at an office in Old Street, London up to two days a week with other Transform Justice team members. Dad Matters focuses on the first 1001 days, supporting fathers and male carers to build strong bonds with their baby, alongside support for their mental health and access to services. It’s a role that combines direct work with dads and the practical coordination behind the scenes to keep the service running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
Building on the strong foundations of our current Dad Matters programme, you will work collaboratively with our existing Co-ordinator, with a focus on:
- Planning and delivering weekly peer support sessions for dads
- Supporting the development and delivering Dad’s antenatal sessions with local NHS services
- Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to contribute to the programme
- Helping dads develop their understanding of building strong parent-infant relationships
- Raising awareness of fathers’ mental health and suicide prevention, especially in the perinatal period
- Supporting the development of a Dad Matters volunteer programme
You’ll be working closely with an experienced colleague, sharing delivery while also taking a lead on planning, organisation, communication and the co-ordination of groups and activities.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Casework Administrator to join the Southeast Regional Office at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Our region covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex.
While much of the administrative and casework support is delivered remotely, this role will involve regular in-person visits to beneficiaries, primarily along the South Coast (with a strong focus on Hampshire). This is an essential and integral part of the role.
You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support and undertaking casework across the Southeast region, including both virtual (telephone-based) and face-to-face engagement. In this role you will be working closely with colleagues in the Southeast Region Office, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. This role requires you to be a resilient person and it would be advantageous if you understand the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
