About the role
In this role we will trust you to work with other team members on a caseload of clients delivering personalised support to them. You will proactively engage with our clients and provide a hand so they can overcome barriers, move into independent living and sustain a tenancy. Our clients have a range of support needs that impact their experience of homelessness. This includes mental health problems, social isolation, challenging behaviour, finance and debt, alcohol and drug abuse. You will deliver structured support and do some risk management so we will trust you to keep proper records and complete some admin tasks. This includes, reviewing support and risk plans, involving key stakeholders where required, showing and signposting our clients to appropriate external support and services, following safeguarding procedures, do some cleaning and contribute to the delivery of a housing management service including collecting income. You’ll also resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive manner balancing the needs of the clients and the safety of the service.
Main Responsibilities Of The Role:
· Ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
· To be a supportive and effective part of the team working as part of a rota including evenings and weekends.
· Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
· To support and encourage clients to care for themselves and develop independent living skills.
· To assess and manage risk for individuals and in the service, making use of emergency services as required.
· Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.
· To make and maintain Housing Benefit claims and support clients to pay their service charges regularly.
· To work in partnership with other agencies to ensure the delivery of holistic wrap around support.
· To support the running of the service and perform shift responsibilities and duties that maintain good health and safety and ensures the safeguarding of clients and others.
· Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
· To participate in handovers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring that information is properly recorded and passed on where appropriate and relevant and in a timely fashion.

Job Purpose
This role sits within our new project supporting male asylum seekers accommodated in hotels based in Ealing. The service aims to address mental health challenges exacerbated by displacement, trauma, and isolation, with a culturally sensitive approach that prioritises language accessibility, stigma reduction, and improved access to onward referrals.

The Role
The role of the Mental Health (Asylum Seekers) Coordinator is to engage male asylum seekers who are accommodated in hotels in Ealing; arrange, coordinate and facilitate a range of culturally appropriate psychoeducation, peer-led and expressive activities which will be delivered twice a week. The role will also include 1:1 sessions; providing mental health stabilisation, advice and support to connect with wider services including multilingual engagement. Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the wellbeing of the city through creative practice. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to build up Shieldfield Art Work’s fundraising programme and contribute to our strategy. This is a vital part of our work as we seek to become more sustainable and resilient in an ever challenging climate.
Our ideal candidate will have good experience in developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy in order to take the strategic fundraising work of our community arts hub into a new chapter. You will also be able to articulate your active Christian faith, be able to explain SAW's Christian ministry and show ability to be able to write for both Christian and secular funders with different priorties.
You will need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise. The role is suitable for candidates who are experienced in larger and multi-year applications to trusts and foundations (ideally in the cultural sector), developing individual giving campaigns and CSR channels, cultivating donor relationships and a good storyteller, to tell the story of and champion SAW. You must be motivated particularly by the social impact and outreach work that we deliver.

The Role
Children’s online safety is both an important and an urgent issue and the need for our unique work here at Breck Foundation is greater now than ever. The primary purpose of this role is to help children and young people take practical steps to become more digitally resilient and be safer online. Our East of England Education Programme Officer will introduce the highly impactful Breck’s story into schools and other youth and community spaces and deliver inspiring, educational talks to students, parents and guardians, teachers and other groups in a ‘whole community’ approach.
The role is fully remote, but post holder will be willing and able to easily travel to various locations within the East of England as and when necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role as well as to engage with colleagues virtually and in person in London four times a year.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Coordinate all practical arrangements necessary for successful delivery and post-delivery activities in schools, including the timely transmission of digital files; and liaising with relevant colleagues to ensure timely delivery of materials and promotional merchandise to schools.
- Responsibility for delivering sessions tailored to educate/inform children/parents and teachers as well as carrying out all pre- and post-delivery engagements.
- Respond to any questions, disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised during sessions and follow up where necessary with the school safeguarding team or, where consent is secured, make onward referrals for additional support in specific cases.
- Contribute to the continuous development of all aspects of the programme, sharing new ideas and using best practice, including keeping programme presentations up to date or, when applicable, working on this together with relevant colleagues, ensuring that presentations used in schools across the organisation are always uniform and consistent.
- Maintain accurate records of programme activities, including record of input, output, and impact as well as demographics data, and monitor and periodically evaluate and report on impact.
Stakeholder Development/Management
- Seek and maximise opportunities for building relationships with groups of schools (primary and secondary) and relevant education/teaching groups, unions and networks, with a view to raising the profile of the programme and generating interest in it.
- Develop and manage ongoing relationships with individual schools to secure their repeat, annual participation in the programme or repeat bookings for paid presentations.
Publicity/Marketing/Communications
- Promote the offer to all types of schools (state and private), working with relevant colleagues to create impactful publicity/marketing assets and to make contact and register schools’ interests.
- Maximise opportunities for generating communication assets and publicity during delivery in schools, including through video recordings, photographs, testimonials, Vox Pops, collection of social media handles for mentions etc., ensuring to follow school guidance and secure necessary permissions.

Overview of post:
This is a 12-month paid internship starting in March 2026, supported by the Jack Petchey Internship
Programme. The successful candidate must be available to take up the post by Monday 23rd
March 2026. This internship is designed to provide a structured learning and development
opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the youth, charity, and/or community
sector. The post-holder will gain specialist knowledge working with unpaid Carers and their
families, as well as exposure to how the broader health, social care, and education sectors
operate.
The post-holder will support the delivery of activities and breaks for Young Carers (YCs) and
Young Adult Carers (YACs), including social, educational, and wellbeing groups, groups which
support YC and YAC personal development, create opportunities to build friendships and peer
support networks as well as provide time out from caring roles.
They will help raise awareness of Young Carers by attending e.g. outreach events and school
assemblies alongside staff, will contribute to identifying new YCs, and undertake a specific
project focused on engaging more YACs aged 18–25. This project will involve researching their
needs and preferences and piloting activities to meet these.
Through Sutton Carers Centre’s support and the additional opportunities provided by the Jack
Petchey Internship Programme, this internship offers a high-quality, developmental experience
for someone starting out in the sector. It could be particularly rewarding for someone who has
lived experience of caring and/or wants to develop specialist knowledge and skills in this area.
Principal Tasks
Activity Delivery
• Support the planning, organisation, and delivery of creative, educational, therapeutic
and/or social group activities, workshops, and trips for YCs and YACs.
• Attend school assemblies and other outreach events with colleagues to raise awareness
of Young Carers and help identify new referrals.
• Encourage YCs/YACs to participate in the planning and shaping of activities, including
through forums and feedback.
• Contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and positive environments where YCs/YACs feel
valued and supported.
Young Adult Carers Project
• Lead a time-limited project to engage YACs (18–25), engaging with currently identified
YACs about their interests and barriers to participation.
• Design and pilot a programme of activities and breaks based on findings, with support
from colleagues.
• Contribute ideas of how we can identify and support more YACs.
• Share learning and recommendations with the wider team to inform future service
delivery.
Learning and Development
• Take part in regular supervision, induction and a structured training programme,
including safeguarding, project planning, group work, and communication skills.
• Shadow colleagues across Sutton Carers Centre to build knowledge of Carer support
and wider health and social care systems.
• Receive mentoring to support professional and personal development.
Partnerships and Networking
• Work alongside staff to liaise with schools, colleges, and other community organisations,
as well as colleagues in social care and health settings.
• Build relationships with external partners, providing opportunities to network with other
organisations and potential employers.
• Help promote SCC’s activities through newsletters, social media, and events.
Monitoring and Evaluation
• Support the collection of feedback and monitoring data from activities and events.
• Assist with record keeping, reporting, and communications.
Policies & Procedures:
• Carry out the above duties with due regard at all times to the Equality, Diversity &
Inclusion, Data Protection & Confidentiality, Safeguarding, Environmental, Business
Continuity, Health & Safety and all other policies and procedures of Sutton Carers
Centre.
Other Duties
• To attend and take advantage of managerial and/or peer supervision, team/staff
meetings and undertake appropriate training and any other professional or personal
development.
• To develop and maintain current and accurate personal knowledge of unpaid Carers’
issues and any statutory or legislative changes.
• To participate in staff meetings, staff forums and training events.
• To be flexible with your availability for working hours, as the role will include very
occasional, weekend and evening work, for which you will receive TOIL.
• To work as part of an overall team, contributing to the development of the Centre and
participating in activities, fundraising and promotional events.
• To undertake other duties as appropriate to the post, as agreed with your Line
Manager.

About the Role

Main Duties and Responsibilities
For the Dean
- Manage the Dean’s diary: including making appointments, arranging meetings, scheduling preaching and other liturgical arrangements, programming annual schedules (such as Bishops Staff Meetings, chaplaincy and wider public commitments) - keeping Outlook diaries up to date with any changes and making travel arrangements;
- Prepare the Dean’s weekly diary file, including the preparation of any meeting papers or briefs for the week ahead;
- Provide administrative support for the Dean in relation to their attendance at meetings associated with the governance of the Cathedral, including Chapter, Finance Committee, Fabric Advisory Committee and Board of Enterprises. This will include liaising with colleagues on the Dean’s availability for upcoming meetings, any research the Dean requires and preparation of paper packs for such meetings. Minute taking will not usually be required, but may be requested from time to time in liaison with members of staff usually responsible for the minutes;
- Draft, file and send outgoing correspondence on the Dean’s behalf and process incoming correspondence;
- Support the Dean in all their working relationships including building and maintaining excellent relationships with Chapter Members and Committee Members, the Bishop’s staff and with the wider Diocese, as well as with congregation members, neighbours, commercial partners, professional advisers and other third-party organisations relating to the Dean’s work;
- Set up meetings including room set up and refreshment provision as required;
- Assist the Dean with the processing of their expenses;
- Work with the Governance & Committees Manager on Gifts Registry declarations for the Dean;

For the Sub-Dean

Office Administration
- Receiving, distributing and responding to emails sent to the Cathedral’s general information email address;
- Ordering stationery, office equipment and consumables in line with the Cathedral’s approach to sustainability and ethical buying;
- Ensuring the Cathedral’s printing and franking equipment is kept fully functional, and liaising with our contractors when issues arise;
- Ensuring that the staff keep offices, reception area, print room, stationery area, staff kitchen and facilities clean, tidy and supplied;
- Co-ordinating Staff Meetings, including booking suitable space and organising refreshments for the meeting;
- Organising staff social events, outings and meals;
- Providing administrative support on Cathedral projects as and when they arise.
- Ensuring the Cathedral’s First-Aid kits are kept supplied and in date.
General Duties and Expectations

- Support other teams on an ad hoc basis when required;

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Central Bedfordshire mental health recovery and prevention service which covers Ampthill/Flitwick, Biggleswade, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard.
As a Community Wellbeing Navigator you will be at the heart of the recovery service, delivering all aspects of the service, building positive relationships with those using the service and strong links into the wider community services within Central Bedfordshire.
You will offer focussed 1-2-1 support where needed, to assist people to navigate through the range of other services within the community. You will offer guidance and information that reduces the chance that people will fall through gaps or continue to be isolated and disconnected from their communities, ensuring the right support and the right time that manages a range of needs.

In addition, you will assess individuals’ suitability for the service and signpost where necessary. There will also be opportunity to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and build links with local organisations.

Service Delivery
- Work within the mental health recovery service across localities in Central Bedfordshire, ensuring outcomes that support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs in line with both Mind BLMK’s agreed recovery model and requirements and funders contract requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
- Carry out assessments on individuals’ suitability for the service in line with the Access to Service processes and procedures and the needs, priorities and support required by the individual.
- Undertake 1-2-1 support with individuals which enables them to explore the situation affecting their mental health and wellbeing and work with them to co-produce a personalised support plan based on their needs, goals and wishes.
- Offer personalised support and information with the aim of building skills, confidence, resilience and knowledge of tools, techniques and wider resources including linking people to the range of community support services and activities available and seeking solutions to any barriers to access.
- Deliver and facilitate groups, both face to face and online. This includes topic and session planning, facilitating informal drop in and discussions and supporting service users to gain practical tools and techniques to support their wellbeing and learn new coping strategies.
- Encourage and support client engagement with Mind BLMK through Guarantor Membership and other opportunities available through Influence and Participation.
- Identify and assist with the development of service uses to deliver peer lead groups using their specialisms and interests.
- Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).
