The Head of Income Generation is a new, pivotal senior leadership role that will be responsible for the development and delivery of income generation. Managing an established and exciting team, this role manage five direct reports and work closely with the new Director of Income and External Affairs.
To be successful as the Head of Income Generation, this person will be able to demonstrate previous experience of leading an income generation function across both high-value and public fundraising. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Fundraising, the Senior Programme Fundraising Manager will play a central role in strengthening programme fundraising capacity across country teams and the global fundraising function. With a particular focus on institutional fundraising, you'll provide technical leadership to support country directors and in-country fundraising colleagues to build high-quality donor engagement, develop and progress funding opportunities, and manage donor compliance across the full funding cycle. You'll line manage country-based fundraising roles (currently across Moldova, Kenya and Ukraine), helping to build strong pipelines, shape fundable propositions, coordinate high-quality proposal development, and ensure excellent stewardship, reporting and internal alignment across systems and sign-off processes.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in institutional and/or programme funding, with a demonstrable track record of developing compelling proposals and managing funder requirements and compliance. You'll be confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders, providing donor intelligence and engagement support (including with UNICEF offices, bilateral donors, UN agencies and EU actors), and translating complex programme work into clear, credible and fundable narratives. You'll also have the leadership and coaching skills to line manage and develop colleagues across geographies, and the judgement to identify and escalate risks while strengthening tools, processes and ways of working. The RISE Team Leader will be a skilled independent domestic and sexual violence advocate who will oversee a small team of case and group workers as well as managing Helpline volunteers. She will be a qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations in the first six months in post.
She will hold a caseload of her own and coordinate a team providing support and guidance through a range of interventions and support offers working closely with an experienced Manager and other Team Leaders. Together with their team they will build, maintain and create links to deliver survivor-focused, trauma aware/ responsive support to help survivors and their family to cope and recover.
They will be the lead on developing, implementing and coordinating the Helpline, Casework and Projects with day-to-day practice oversight of staff and volunteers. The Team Leader will work co-operatively and flexibly alongside RISE colleagues providing expert input and contributing to the effective running of the organisation as a whole.
