About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell.
Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.

About the Role
In 2025 we launched our five-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. As we enter the final year of this strategy the charity continues to expand and develop its projects and services children all over Sussex.
This role will support the Head of Finance & Operations and be responsible for organising and managing the charity’s volunteers and the volunteer programme, working across the charity to ensure we have the right individuals to support our work. Duties of the Role
Support the charity to deliver brilliant projects and services that support children and their families:
· Work collaboratively across the charity team to recruit volunteers with the necessary skills, experience and commitment to support our project delivery, fundraising activities, events schedule and office work.

About you

Role summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Visitor Experience Manager to help make every visit to Painswick Rococo Garden warm, inspiring and memorable.
You’ll be an integral part of bringing our beautiful and quirky 18th-century garden to life by leading our programme of events and family trails, interpretation, customer service and presentation standards.
Passionate and enthusiastic, you will deliver a high-quality visitor experience that make visitors feel more connected to the garden.
With a strong commercial and community focus, you’ll grow audiences and income through well-planned, profitable activity and new offers, while supporting safe, compliant day-to-day operations (including duty management and safeguarding responsibilities).

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a driven Individual Giving Manager to play a pivotal role in building and delivering a high-performing fundraising programme at a time of significant growth.
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK. At Prostate Cancer Research (PCR), the focus is on accelerating better outcomes for patients, from funding pioneering research to shaping national screening policy. Individual Giving is central to this mission. With a rapidly expanding supporter base and increasing investment in growth, PCR is looking for someone who can help take this programme to the next level.
Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, this role will act as the operational lead for Individual Giving activity, translating strategic direction into effective, insight-led campaigns. The post-holder will take ownership of campaign planning and delivery across multiple channels, driving both acquisition and retention, ensuring activity is optimised for impact and return on investment.
This role will lead the implementation of integrated campaigns across digital and offline channels, including social media, search, email, direct mail and telemarketing. It will also involve managing agency relationships and analysing performance data while continuously testing and refining approaches to maximise results. Alongside this, the Individual Giving Manager will play a key role in developing supporter journeys, creating compelling content and strengthening long-term supporter engagement.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in Individual Giving, with a strong track record in delivering multi-channel campaigns across acquisition and retention. They will be confident managing agencies, working with digital platforms such as Meta and Google Ads and using data to inform decision-making. We are seeking a Communications Officer, Research to join the Research Communications Team. This role will support the planning, production and delivery of engaging communications that explain and promote the charity’s research priorities. Working closely with the Research team and colleagues across Communications, the postholder helps highlight key scientific developments, research programmes and organisational priorities. They act as a communications partner to the Research Directorate, helping to shape research narratives and producing high‑quality content that brings our science to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Production
· Produce clear, accurate content about research programmes (e.g., messaging, FAQs, web content, slide decks).
· Maintain and update supporter/public-facing research content on the website.
