About the role

The postholder will lead budgeting, forecasting and management information for our operations departments, manage an FP&A Assistant Manager, and partner with budget holders to drive effective financial management and support strategic decision making. About the role: 

• Under the supervision of CGL’s Cluster Manager, you will lead the delivery of services that empower Children, Young People, and their Families to overcome issues around substance misuse.
• The post holder will provide line management to practitioners within the service and will be responsible for the operational management and strategic development of the service.
• They will always maintain high professional standards and ensure a Young Person focused approach in all aspects of delivery with the aim of reducing harm and promoting resilience.

About the role

Since Crick’s inception in 2015, its external funding portfolio has steadily grown and diversified with funding now received from a broad range of national and international funding bodies, each with their own regulations, policies and conditions.

As Senior Manager – Post-Award Grant Compliance, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Crick’s continued adherence to funder terms and conditions. You’ll lead the development and implementation of robust post-award grant processes, working across internal teams to provide expert guidance on compliance and regulatory requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for external funding bodies, you’ll maintain a deep understanding of funder policies and ensure that grants and contracts are managed accordingly.  As an experienced post-award professional, you will have familiarity with business-as-usual research finance practices including project reconciliation using general ledger reports, funder invoicing, journal posting, budgeting, income recognition and other month-end processes.

As a senior member of the Finance and Grants team, you’ll also provide leadership support by deputising for the Post-Award Team Lead when required, a responsibility that could lead to future opportunities for line management. Drawing on your experience within a higher education or research-intensive environment, you will have extensive experience of post award management along with clear evidence of adding value and improving processes in previous roles.  This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to influence best practice across the organisation so you will need to be a strong leader who is confidence in the training and development of others striving for best practice.  Previous experience in the development and implementation of systems would be highly desirable.

As a Senior Manager – Post-Award Grant Compliance at the Crick, you will:

• Provide specialist expertise in matters pertaining to grant compliance and ensure that grant funded research at the Crick is compliant.

• Develop and refine robust business processes and IT system controls

• Be responsible for the development and improvement of post-award procedures, SOPs and systems to enable efficient and effective grant support.

The Supporter Connection and Engagement Officer plays a key role in developing and deepening relationships with supporters through personal engagement, particularly via phone and email. This role helps to inspire generosity, communicate impact, and ensure every supporter feels valued and connected to Church Army’s mission. The work that the Supporter Engagement and Connection Officer does directly enables our frontline work to happen.

Our Second Home is the UK’s youth movement of young people with refugee backgrounds. Since 2018, we have supported over 750 young people from 53 countries to build community, develop leadership skills, and flourish into adulthood in the place they now call home.

Our work begins with transformational residential experiences, where young people form friendships, grow in confidence, and experience belonging – often for the first time since arriving in the UK. From there, many go on to take part in our Leadership Training Programme and local Youth Hubs in London and Bristol, before returning as peer leaders themselves. We are recruiting a Fundraising Manager to act as the organisation’s operational lead for income generation. This is a part-time role (18–24 hours per week) with significant flexibility, ideal for someone who is organised, thoughtful, and motivated by building something meaningful.

The Fundraising Manager will manage and coordinate income across five strands: trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate foundations, individual and digital giving, and statutory funding. While the role has a strong trusts and foundations focus, it offers real scope to build skills and experience across a broad fundraising portfolio.

Working closely with the CEO, a highly experienced freelance Bid Writer, and the wider team, you will be responsible for developing funding pipelines, producing high-quality proposals and applications, stewarding funder relationships, and translating programme impact into compelling narratives. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing writing, relationship-building, planning and delivery – and who values doing fundraising with integrity and care.

We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising (particularly trusts and foundations) or strong transferable skills such as persuasive writing, project management, or stakeholder engagement. You will be comfortable managing multiple deadlines, maintaining an organised pipeline, and working independently while staying closely connected to a small team.

In financial year 2025-26, PCR’s virtual challenges have raised over £2m so far (against a target of £1.4m) with still one more big challenge to go! We are thrilled at the impact this will have for families affected by prostate cancer, and are therefore excited to be expanding the Events & Community team again with this new role.

The Supporter Engagement Assistant will be at the frontline of our virtual challenges stewardship, supporting a rapidly growing supporter base and delivering exceptional supporter experiences. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, is highly organised and is eager to develop within a supportive and ambitious fundraising team.

While your focus will be on virtual challenges, you will also gain exposure to the wider Public Fundraising portfolio, with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Care & Engagement

• Be the first point of contact for virtual challenge fundraisers, responding to enquires on email, SMS, social channels and phone within agreed timescales.

• Manage supporter relationships and high-quality fundraiser journeys using PCR’s systems and tools, providing thoughtful stewardship that builds long term loyalty.

• Work with the team to continuously improve supporter experience using feedback and data

• Create and maintain FAQs, supporter resources and fundraising materials.

• Monitor acquisition advertisements and appropriately respond to comments.

Administration and database

• Manage stock, including sharing data with our fulfilment house, sending merchandise and replenishing materials.

• Process supporter and financial data accurately, including coding and tracking income & expenditure.

• Support database administration in line with data protection needs.

Background

Pesticide Action Network UK (PAN UK) is the only charity in the UK focused solely on tackling the problems caused by pesticides and promoting safe and sustainable alternatives in agriculture, urban areas, homes and gardens. It is an independent, non-profit organisation, which works nationally and internationally to eliminate the use of the most hazardous pesticides, reduce dependence on pesticides overall, and to increase the adoption of sustainable alternatives to chemical pest control.

Our Head of Policy & Campaigns leads our work in the UK which aims to better protect both the environment and human health from pesticide harms. Through policy work, lobbying, research, media and strategic communications, we aim to influence a range of decision makers, from the UK government and devolved administrations to local councils and the country’s biggest supermarkets. The role also includes working alongside PAN UK’s Director to secure funding to cover the UK team’s salaries, overheads and activities. It is an incredibly varied role, involving everything from leading on strategy development for the UK team while also being intricately involved in writing and editing publications and executing other activities such as events and mobilising the public.

The Head of Policy & Campaigns is part of PAN UK’s Senior Management Team (along with our Director, Head of Finance and Governance and Head of International Programmes) which sets the direction of the organisation and ensures it is well-managed and delivering on our mission. 

Specific responsibilities

1.       Advocacy, policy and campaigning

• Lead the UK team in developing advocacy strategies, and fully utilising opportunities to make progress towards achieving PAN UK’s mission.

• Conduct high quality research and analysis aimed at influencing decision makers. Ensure it is presented in a way which is both technically accurate and compelling.

• Develop and/or maintain expertise in pesticide policy with the aim of being able to represent PAN UK credibly in a range of external fora.

• Build relationships with a wide range of decision makers including government ministers and civil servants, parliamentarians, devolved administrations, local councils and supermarkets.

• Ensure that the organisation’s policy positions on UK pesticide issues are clear, well thought out and will lead to positive change.

• Find creative ways to involve the UK public in PAN UK’s work, including enabling members of the public to contact decision makers directly.

2.       Communications

• Secure media coverage for PAN UK outputs, including writing press releases and liaising with journalists. Provide written quotes for media outlets and give interviews for radio and TV.

• Write materials including policy reports, political briefings and public-facing communications such as blogs and supporter emails. Edit and sign off all outputs from the UK team, ensuring they are both well-written and accurate.

• Conduct public speaking at a range of events, from high-profile events in parliament to community gatherings (and everything in between!).

• Work closely with PAN UK’s Communications Manager to provide content for the organisation’s website and social media channels. Support the Communications Manager in their broader work which includes raising PAN UK’s public profile and leading on individual giving.

3.       Fundraising and financial management

(Please note that PAN UK does not employ fundraisers).

• Raise sufficient funds to cover the UK team’s salaries, activity costs and contribution to organisational overheads.

• Contribute to efforts to raise core funds, which are led by PAN UK’s Director.

• Identify and build relationships with new funders, particularly trusts and foundations, with the aim of securing funding.

• Maintain excellent relationships with existing funders, making sure to meet reporting deadlines.

• Follow PAN UK protocols to ensure that the UK team’s finances are well-managed.

 4.     Leadership and strategy

• Manage a high-performing team, leading on strategy development and implementation and ensuring that the team runs effectively.

• Line manage the staff of the UK team, running regular 121s, annual appraisals and generally making sure they are happy and productive.

5.       Contributing to the organisation

• Contribute to the effective and smooth running of the organisation through membership of the Senior Management Team.

• Report to the PAN UK Board of Trustees as and when required.

• Other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Director and commensurate with the post.

Person specification

Essential

• At least eight years’ advocacy experience, including experience of designing, developing and implementing both policy work and public campaigns.

• Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing strategies designed to create change. 

• Excellent writing and editing skills and experience of producing both technical and public-facing materials. Exceptional attention to detail and a personal commitment to accuracy.

• An understanding of the political context, actors, and processes relating to key policy areas that intersect with pesticides such as food, farming, environment and/or health.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced governance professional to join our Governance Team. Purpose of role

Lumos is entering an exciting period of strategic transformation to strengthen our operational foundations, refine our systems, and enhance our capacity to deliver on our mission to realise every child’s right to a family. The Senior Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in building the operational foundations and risk-aware culture needed for success both now and as the organisation prepares for the future.

As a delivery partner to the Director of People & Operations, the Senior Operations Manager leads the implementation of agreed operational priorities, strengthens country office and partner capability, and ensures that operational standards, policies, and practices are consistently embedded across existing and new geographies. Primary responsibilities

Operational leadership & delivery

• Act as a senior delivery partner to the Director of People & Operations, leading the implementation of agreed operational priorities.

You will report to the Director of Finance, line manage one Senior Database Officer and be responsible for managing The Sick Children’s Trust’s database, Donorflex, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that fundraising income is processed correctly and coded in line with organisational procedures, and that service user data is updated on an accurate and timely basis, ensuring GDPR-compliant records. You will be the first point of contact, alongside the Senior Database Officer, for day-to-day database queries, providing essential support to ensure the database is effectively managed and continues to meet the organisation’s operational requirements.

Duties will include:

• Overseeing the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis
• Line manage, coach and support one Senior Database Officer
• Processing service user information into the database on a timely basis
