We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused Senior Database Officer to help colleagues get the best from our fundraising CRM, strengthen data quality and support our ongoing transition to Raiser’s Edge NXT.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative Data and Fundraising Operations team at a time of significant growth. You will combine technical database work with stakeholder support, training and process improvement, helping colleagues use our systems confidently and effectively.
You do not need to know every system we use from day one. If you have strong data manipulation skills, enjoy solving complex problems and can quickly develop expertise in new technology, we would love to hear from you.
What makes this opportunity different
This role offers more than traditional database administration.
Our Data and Fundraising Operations team acts as the technical lead for many of the Charity’s systems and technical projects. Alongside developing your knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT, you’ll have opportunities to broaden your experience across Excel, Access, SharePoint, APIs, data integrations, reporting, automation and system implementation.

- Managing data imports, cleansing, audits and database administration
- Monitoring data quality and improving how supporter information is recorded
- Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and improve systems and processes
About you
You may already be working as a Database Officer, CRM Officer or charity data specialist and be ready to take the next step in your career.
You’re curious, proactive and solutions-focused. You enjoy investigating data and system issues, working with complex datasets and finding practical ways to improve processes. Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people and can explain technical information clearly to colleagues with different levels of confidence and experience.
You’ll bring:
- Proven ability to learn new systems quickly and develop advanced knowledge
- Strong data manipulation skills using Excel, Access or comparable tools
- Highly developed problem-solving skills
- The ability to investigate data or system issues methodically
- Experience managing several stakeholders and competing requirements
- The ability to draw out requirements and translate them into practical improvements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly
- A proactive approach and a high level of initiative
It would be helpful, but not essential, if you have
- Experience of working within a charity
- Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge 7 or Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Experience using ImportOmatic or a similar data import tool
- Experience designing and delivering systems training
- Experience creating user guidance or process documentation
- Experience supporting CRM adoption or system change
Benefits:
- Hybrid working, with approximately 40% of your time in the office and 60% working from home each month

- A contributory pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 6%
- Life insurance for eligible pension scheme members
- Enhanced maternity and adoption leave and pay
- Employee assistance and confidential counselling services
- Flexible working options
- Subsidised on-site canteens
- A bright, modern Chelsea office close to South Kensington station

Are you a recent graduate looking for a role where you'll learn how a charity runs day-to-day? The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) is looking for a friendly, organised Administration Assistant to join our team in London.
This is a great opportunity to start building your career in charity, social enterprise or office administration. You'll be at the heart of everything we do — supporting our Senior Management Team and Trustees, helping run meetings and events, and keeping our office running smoothly — while developing skills in governance, minute-taking, and project coordination. Whether you're just starting out or already have a year or two of administrative experience, what matters most is your organisation, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for learning.
You'll help manage diaries and meeting logistics for our senior team and Trustees, format and circulate papers for Board and staff meetings, book travel and accommodation, keep our records and filing in good order, and be a welcoming first point of contact for anyone who calls or emails AHF. You'll also get involved in organising our Annual Away Day and other AHF-wide events — and, with support, take minutes at decision-making meetings such as the Audit and Risk Committee and HR committee.
We'd love to hear from you if you enjoy staying organised, communicate clearly and confidently, and like the idea of learning new systems and ways of working. Any experience you've picked up through university, part-time work, volunteering, placements, student societies, committee roles, or paid administrative work all counts.
You'll ideally have an interest in the AHF's mission — helping to deliver a sustainable future for historic buildings throughout the UK — but a passion for heritage is a bonus, not a requirement.
We are a charity committed to being inclusive and giving everyone an equal chance to succeed – you can read more about our EDI commitments from our website. Applications are welcome from all regardless of age, sex, gender identity, disability, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, religion or belief, race, sexual orientation, transgender status or socio-economic background.
Position title: Administration Assistant
Contract length: Full-time, Permanent
Remuneration: £27,500 per annum

Application: Please submit a CV and covering letter (up to two sides of A4)
Closing date: Friday, 02 October 2026
Interviews:
We will be reviewing applications and interviewing on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged — we may fill the role before the closing date.
About the AHF
AHF is a leading heritage charity founded in 1976 to help charities and social enterprises across the UK find solutions for vulnerable historic buildings. We do this by offering advice, grants, and loans. You can find more details of the AHF and the impact of our work on our website.

If shortlisted for interview, we will be in touch with you. However, we are a small charity and, due to the volume of applications we anticipate, we regret that we will be unable to provide feedback if you are not shortlisted.
We will discount cover letters created using AI. Please write your own covering letter.

Join an ambitious, values-driven charity at a genuinely exciting moment in its development. The Peak District Foundation has grown substantially in recent years - raising over £1 million in 2025/26 - and you can help build on this as we move into the next chapter of the organisation.
About Us
The Peak District is the UK's oldest National Park — a landscape of moorlands, dales, farmland and villages that holds a special place in the hearts of millions. But like protected landscapes across the country, it faces real and growing pressures: from climate change, habitat loss, and threats to the Park’s heritage, to barriers that prevent many communities from connecting with it. At the Foundation, we fund and deliver projects to:
- Protect our peatlands: some of the most degraded upland peatland in Europe
- Restore nature and support biodiversity
- Connect people and communities to nature
- Improve access: repairing degraded paths and improving access for those with disabilities
- Protect the Park’s irreplaceable heritage sites
We are a small, supportive team who value collaboration, curiosity, kindness and getting stuck in. We love the Peak District and we work with partners, communities and experts to deliver meaningful, lasting impact.
About the role
This role is broad and varied. You will look after a mixed portfolio of supporters and prospects and take the lead on building a pipeline of potential supporters, creating high impact proposals and pitches, and building long-term meaningful relationships with grant makers, businesses and individual donors. Just as importantly, you will grow a genuine community of supporters who feel personally connected to the Park - through appeals and other ways for people to get involved - and you will have the opportunity to explore and develop new fundraising streams to support the Foundation’s long-term sustainability.
We are looking for a talented individual with excellent relationship building skills and a passion for the Park to enhance and maximise the fundraising potential at the Foundation. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, proactive and imaginative fundraiser to make real impact and drive growth.
Interviews will take place on 28th and 29th September in person at our HQ in Bakewell. We are happy to reimburse travel costs for attending in-person interviews.
Please submit a copy of your CV and a covering letter of no more than 500 words outlining your interest in the role and how your experience aligns with the person specification.
Please specify in your covering letter the number of hours per week you would be looking to work if you were appointed to the role.
