PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The post-holder will provide high-quality administrative, financial and organisational support to the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the Community's office and supporting the delivery of its mission. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The successful candidate will be able to work in accordance with the ethos and values of the Catholic Church

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● To support the Community Leader by undertaking all administrative duties related to the two properties in Dereham and Walsingham and the smooth operation of our expanding mission.

● Ability to demonstrate and exercise discretion and confidentiality in terms of all data and data subjects.

● To be a point of contact for all telephone callers and visitors, ensuring that they are welcomed with courtesy and respect and enquiries handled professionally.

● Take responsibility for maintaining and updating book-keeping systems and processes to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and available for audit.

● Undertake monthly reconciliations to provide robust audit trails for banking, receipts and payments.

● Maintain routine updates to the Community website, including news items, events and content, liaising with external website developers where required.

● Take responsibility for maintaining and updating all data records and new implementing systems when needed.

DRIVE aims to reduce the number of adult and child victims of domestic abusive by disrupting and changing perpetrator behaviour and maintain effective risk management of high risk, high harm perpetrators.

DRIVE is currently being expanded into Northamptonshire. The RESPECT, Safe Lives, Social Finance-led project sees RISE collaborate with Northants, statutory agencies such as the police, probation service and children's social care and local specialist agencies to challenge the behaviour of high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. The focus of DRIVE is to hold the perpetrators to account, rather than expecting punitive measures of uprooting the victim and children from their family, community and schools to be the solution; thereby allowing the perpetrator to move from one victim to the next.

Key Accountabilities

Statement of the main areas of responsibility

The DRIVE Service Manager will be responsible for mobilising the expansion project across Northamptonshire, working closely with the Drive Central Team.

The DRIVE Northants Team (Case Managers and Advance Practitioner) will develop and co-ordinate an individual, multi-modal intervention plan for each Service User, which will incorporate support and/or disruption strategies; a pro-active approach to Service User engagement and commitment to working towards attitudinal and behavioural change, whilst keeping the victim’s safety central to any interventions implemented. The Service Manager will seek to ensure this role is carried out fairly and take organisational responsibility for risk. 

The DRIVE Service Manager will work collaboratively with the wider London DRIVE Team, and line manage DRIVE Northants Case Managers and Co-ordinators.

Management and Development:

· Provide each Case Managers with monthly Case Management Supervision.

· As part of the monthly Case management supervision process, Case Managers should be given the opportunity to discuss Service User cases; exploring concerns, reviewing assessment decisions and developing a collaborative individual intervention plan.

· Ensure that the service is managed in accordance with its governing documents from the DRIVE case management manual.

· Provide annual appraisal and regular support and supervision reviews to ensure that great performance is recognised; and that poor performance, and welfare issues affecting performance, are addressed. Offering Clinical Supervision as necessary.

· Support, manage and develop Case Managers, promoting wellbeing and growth within their roles.

· Ensure Case Managers maintain safeguarding training up to date in line with local protocols.

· Ensure Case Managers attend all training delivered by RESPECT and other relevant training.

· Ensure that all safeguarding and critical incidents are reported in a timely manner following the appropriate protocols.

Management and Performance:

· Provide routine reports to the Project Director, funders and stakeholders so that they can assess the overall performance of the service.

· To ensure that the required data is recorded on the Drive case management system, so that the evaluation, performance management and service learning is maximised.

· Represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate in partnership with the Project Director.

· Contribute to the learning from the Drive Pilot through service reviews, working with the Drive Evaluators, supporting the Drive Partnership in addressing implementation and ongoing delivery

Strategic Management

· Develop and maintain links with other agencies, both as an individual and as a service; developing protocols, referral procedures, skills sharing and joint working with external partners as appropriate.

· Attend and partake the Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel (DAPP) and MARAC meetings.

· Develop and maintain effective links with other agencies, attending strategic and operational working groups as appropriate.

· Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving barriers to achieving the Drive objectives with other professionals and services.

· Share best practice with other Drive Service Managers to further develop the role and the Drive project in general.

· Work with the Director, Practice Adviser, Steering Group and Drive Project Evaluators to maximise learning from the pilot sites and modify the model according to findings from data on what is proving effective.

· Develop and share ideas for service innovation, exploring options for implementation locally and informing the potential for national roll-out on conclusion of the pilot phase.

Recording and administrative tasks:

· Supervision sessions will be recorded on the Case Management Supervision pro-forma, and form part of the quality assurance and staff support and supervision processes as well as informing the personal and professional development of the Team leader Case Manager.

· Ensure that Team Leader and Case Managers’ files and records are accurate and complete, submitted at the appropriate data collection milestones and that both are kept and are in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and meet IMR (Internal Management Report for Domestic Homicide Reviews DHR) recording standards.

· Maintain an accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication in compliance with GDPR 2018.

· Support Case Managers to use the Drive Project electronic case management system accurately and consistently for all their work.

General tasks:

· Be a strong advocate for RISE delivery, representing RISE and its strategic direction at key stakeholder events.

· Attend management meetings as directed by line manager.

Confidentiality and Information Security

· Adhere to the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts and comply with the terms of RISE’s Privacy, IT and Data protection policies, and that of our partners where relevant.

· Comply with security measures in accordance with RISE policies and our partner’s E-mail and Internet use.

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

· RISE is committed to keeping children and vulnerable adults safe. Post holders with direct service user contact are responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults s/he is responsible for or comes into contact with. Post holders not in direct offender contact have a general responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in the course of their daily duties and for ensuring that they are aware of the specific duties relating to their role.

Scope and senior accountability

Hold delegated senior responsibility for the performance, quality, workforce, safeguarding and development of the children and family services portfolio.

Lead EHWP+ as a key commissioned programme, ensuring that delivery remains aligned with contract requirements, local need, agreed outcomes and Spring North’s values.

Hold senior accountability for the effective management and delivery of counselling and therapeutic services within the portfolio, including service quality, practitioner practice, professional standards, supervision arrangements and continuous improvement.

Balance strategic direction with strong operational grip, intervening early where delivery, safety, quality, finance or partnership performance is at risk.

Contribute to whole-organisation leadership, growth, resilience and culture as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team.

4. Key accountabilities

4.1 Strategic leadership of children and family services

• Develop and implement a clear strategic direction for EHWP+ and the wider children and family services portfolio, aligned with Spring North’s organisational strategy and local commissioning priorities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the changing needs of children, young people, parents and carers, using data, lived experience, professional insight and community intelligence to shape priorities.
• Create a more connected portfolio by linking existing services, clarifying pathways and reducing gaps, duplication and avoidable hand-offs for families.
• Promote early help, prevention, relationship-based and strengths-based approaches that improve emotional health, wellbeing, resilience and family outcomes.
• Keep abreast of policy, legislation, evidence and emerging practice affecting children, young people and families, translating these into proportionate action.

4.2 EHWP+ programme leadership and delivery

• Provide senior leadership and direction to the EHWP+ team, creating a shared focus on access, quality, outcomes, partnership delivery and continuous improvement.
• Lead the operational delivery of counselling and therapeutic provision, ensuring clear service models, referral and allocation arrangements, appropriate caseload management, safe thresholds, effective practitioner deployment and consistent therapeutic practice across employed teams and delivery partners.
• Ensure counselling and therapeutic interventions are delivered by appropriately qualified and competent practitioners, with suitable induction, supervision, continuing professional development and access to specialist or clinical advice where required.
•  Ensure that service plans, capacity, resources and delivery arrangements are sufficient to meet contractual commitments and respond appropriately to local need.
• Establish clear management arrangements, decision-making routes and performance expectations across employed teams and delivery partners.
•  Review delivery data, caseload or activity information, outcomes, waiting times, feedback and emerging risks; agree and monitor corrective action where required.
• Ensure that the voice of children, young people, parents and carers is visible in-service design, review and improvement.
• Support effective mobilisation, change and service redesign when contracts, need or evidence require a different delivery response.

What this job is all about

As Volunteer Coordinator, you'll make sure FFLAG's volunteers are properly recruited, trained and supported, so they can continue doing this work well. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:

• Identify what volunteers FFLAG needs, then recruit, induct and train them, including DBS checks and references

• Maintain training, the volunteer handbook and the Code of Conduct up to date

• Maintain regular contact with volunteers, so they stay engaged, safe and supported

• Act as FFLAG's Safeguarding Lead, providing regular supervision to support volunteers

Job Description:

The Head of Youth & Community Services will provide leadership, management and oversight across YMCA Brunel Group's youth and community services, including 10 Youth Clubs (supporting young people aged 10-19 years old, and up to 25 with special educational needs), and 2 Young Carers groups. The role will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, quality, performance and development of services, enabling positive outcomes for children, young people and communities, across the Mendip and South Somerset area.

The postholder will lead a team of approximately 33 permanent and relief staff, and line manage Youth Work Team Leaders, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements and funding obligations.

The postholder will play a key role in shaping local responses to the needs of young people and communities, bringing partners together to influence priorities, develop collaborative solutions and improve outcomes across the Mendip and South Somerset area

The role will enhance the impact, sustainability and quality of youth and community services, strengthen partnership working and support the delivery of YMCA Brunel Group's charitable objectives.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be an experienced youth and community services professional with a strong track record of leading teams, developing services and delivering positive outcomes for young people and communities.

You will be a confident leader, capable of supporting and developing Team Leaders while ensuring high standards of service delivery, safeguarding, quality and performance. You will have excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders across a range of settings.

Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification in youth work, or community development or a related field, although candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Service leadership and delivery

· Lead the operational delivery, quality and continuous improvement of YMCA Brunel Group's Youth & Community Services, ensuring services are safe, impactful, financially sustainable and responsive to the needs of young people.

· Oversee the planning, development and evaluation of youth and community projects, ensuring consistency of practice, effective use of resources and delivery against agreed objectives and outcomes.

· Identify emerging needs, opportunities and trends affecting young people and communities, using insight and local intelligence to shape service development and ensure provision remains relevant, impactful and sustainable.

· Act as the departmental safeguarding lead, providing advice, oversight and support to Team Leaders and staff.

Young people and community engagement

· Champion participation and co-production, ensuring the voices of young people and communities influence service design, delivery and evaluation

· Support Team Leaders to engage, and create opportunities for young people, volunteers and community members to participate fully in YMCA services and activities.

· Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and focused on enabling individuals and communities to achieve their full potential.

People leadership

· Provide visible and effective leadership across Youth & Community Services, setting clear direction, priorities and expectations that support YMCA Brunel Group's objectives.

· Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and compliance requirements across the Youth and Community department, ensuring adherence to organisational policies, legislation and funding obligations.

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across YMCA Brunel Group.

Person Specification

• At least 2 years experience leading youth, community, or related services
• Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships with statutory, voluntary, community and education organisations
• Experience of leading and developing staff, including the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Experience of managing budgets and contributing to income generation
• Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing young people and communities
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, risk management and best practice relating to children, young people or vulnerable adults
• JNC Youth & Community Work qualification or equivalent professional qualification
• Understanding of funding, commissioning and contract delivery within the charity sector

Location: At least 3 days a week based in one of YMCA Brunel offices (Bath, Wells, Frome or Street).

The Head of Youth Programmes sits in our Senior Leadership Team and holds overall operational responsibility for our frontline youth programmes across three pillars: Prevention, Intervention and Healing. The postholder leads and line manages the delivery team, and carries DSL responsibility for the organisation.

You'll lead delivery, expansion and impact evaluation across all three pillars, line manage the Education Lead, IDVA Team and Creative Projects leads, and work closely with the CEO to consolidate our delivery models. You'll hold responsibility as our Designated Safeguarding Lead, manage operational budgets, and build multi-agency partnerships across Barnet and neighbouring boroughs.

Essential criteria

• Experience as an IDVA, ISVA or in a comparable frontline advocacy role supporting young women and girls affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence or other forms of harm.
