Fundraising Officer, Peterborough Cathedral — £32,000
Help write the next chapter for one of England's great cathedrals. No fundraising background? Bring your relationship-building skills, we'll teach you the rest.
Peterborough Cathedral is at a genuinely exciting turning point. We're delivering an ambitious Strategic Review and Masterplan, and moving fundraising away from reactive, crisis-driven appeals towards something more strategic and sustainable, built on real relationships, better systems and disciplined stewardship. This role sits right at the heart of that shift, and whoever joins us now will help shape how it's done for years to come.
You don't need to have worked in fundraising before. Full training, a structured induction and regular one-to-one support from our Head of Fundraising are all part of the package.
What you'll actually be doing:
We know brilliant fundraisers come from all kinds of backgrounds, so if you don't tick every box on the person spec, we'd still love to hear from you. In return, you'll get:

You may have thought that leprosy is an ancient Biblical disease, but today someone is diagnosed with leprosy every three minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Stigma and discrimination mean many people with leprosy hide their symptoms for as long as possible, living in terrible fear of what will happen to them. But without fast treatment, leprosy can cause blindness and disable hands and feet. Rejection, isolation, hopelessness. We believe that this is not how God wants people to live. Will you join us to help end leprosy?
The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with over 152 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We are a leading international development charity, working in nine countries across Africa and Asia. We are Christ-centered, following His leading to defeat leprosy and transform lives.
We are looking for an inspirational communicator to be the face of The Leprosy Mission. You’ll be working from home, with extensive travel across your region. As part of a fun and supportive team, you’ll be changing the lives of people who have been rejected by society. We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. You’ll also have opportunities to visit projects overseas and see our work first hand.
This is a home-based role; however, applicants must be based in North Wales or the Midlands.
We’re looking for:
TLM is an explicitly Christian charity, serving those of all faiths and none. There is an occupational requirement for the Community Partnerships Manager to be a committed Christian as you will be preaching and speaking in supporting churches.
A valid UK driving license is an essential requirement for the role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health questionnaire.
TLM has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign and comply with all organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Code of Conduct and Policy. Recruitment to all roles within TLM includes criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. We are committed to diversity and welcome applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community, who have permission to work in the UK.

Use your fundraising talent to make a lasting difference to thousands of local people and help shape the future of a pioneering mental health charity.
Part-time Community based Fundraising Manager 2 days pw

About us
For nearly 30 years Sutton Mental Health Foundation has been a refuge for people in Sutton, Surrey, whose mental health has had an impact on their lives. Over this time, the Foundation has helped thousands of people navigate their way through their mental health challenges and in 2025 we saw an 18% increase in demand for our services.

Sutton Mental Health Foundation provides a place where people can feel safe and supported in tackling their mental health challenges and we provide these services 365 days a year.
Our crucial work
The Foundation is a hidden gem of innovation, with a pioneering ‘Intentional Peer Support’ approach at its heart, which trains former and current service users to provide support to individuals facing similar mental health challenges to those they have faced themselves. The first contact from local people experiencing severe anxiety or distress often comes through telephone calls or through our Crisis Café, which operates every evening in person from 6.30pm to 11.00 pm, 365 days a year, and on the phone or on- line at other times. This is where people can receive support and learn about the range of support options the Foundation provides.
Our counselling service can help local people tackle a wide range of issues affecting their mental health.
Our Belmont Connect service is a place to socialise, meet new people and receive support in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can also join one of our classes or drop-in sessions. These may be art-based, music-themed, or centred around activities such as gardening. We aim to offer a range of weekly activities that cater to different interests and encourage social connection and wellbeing. In the winter our In Your Corner Sunday service offers lunches from midday onwards, and we have year round specialist support sessions such as the Sutton Hearing Voices Group, which help individuals explore different ways to deal with hearing voices.
We have been very successful in securing funding for our work from the local authority and from our local NHS Trust, but we have now reached a point where we want to raise new funds to innovate and expand our services, hence creating this new role of Community Fundraising Manager.

About the role
You’ll support the full recruitment and onboarding process, from completing pre-interview questionnaires and coordinating applications to assisting with, and where appropriate conducting, interviews across our care homes and services. You’ll use our Applicant Tracking System (IRIS) every day to manage candidate applications, maintain accurate records and ensure information is kept up to date.
You’ll also be out and about representing Stockdales at job fairs and recruitment events, helping to promote our vacancies and connect with potential candidates. Using Canva, you’ll create engaging recruitment adverts for social media and help identify the most effective channels for reaching new applicants. You’ll also support the development of relationships with recruitment agencies and explore new ways to build our candidate pool. From time to time, you may also help deliver presentations about Stockdales and the opportunities available to join our team.
Alongside your recruitment responsibilities, you’ll provide a range of general administrative support to the team. This will include answering calls and responding to queries from professionals, colleagues and external contacts, preparing induction packs, maintaining departmental records and databases, organising meetings and appointments, and producing reports and documents using Microsoft Office.
It’s a role that combines people, organisation, creativity and communication - perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a real contribution to building great teams.
