About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Management Team (SMT) of a dynamic and growing children’s charity as Head of Human Resources and Operations, taking on a critical leadership role to support the next phase of our development.  Working closely with the SMT as trusted advisor and most senior HR professional, you will provide strategic and operational advice, guidance and support to the organisation on all people related practices.

About the role:

This role is based in our Stafford or possibly our Stoke-on-Trent office, working flexibly across the area. The service will be delivered as per service user requirements, via schools and safe community settings. The role may involve some early evening and possible weekend delivery, potentially on a rota basis.

Role Purpose

To deliver and develop a high-impact mentoring programme through effective mentor management, community engagement, and high-quality organisation and programme administration around London. This role is vital to achieving the organisation’s goals — including positive outcomes for children, meaningful volunteer engagement, compliance, and sustainable growth.

This role brings a perfect blend of administration and delivery, giving you ample time to see and speak with children and volunteer mentors, seeing up close the transformation the programme makes on children’s lives. 

Core Responsibilities

1. Mentor Management & Support 

• Match at least five children per month with suitable volunteer mentors, aligned with individual needs and programme goals. 
• Manage up to 55 active mentor-mentee pairs, leading the administration cycle and our quality framework. 
• Maintain 100% accurate records and communications in our data management system, Salesforce, ensuring full compliance with internal processes 
• Maintain consistent, high-quality mentor communications, including regular check-ins and reviews, ensuring consistent session attendance. 
• Co-deliver training for new and existing volunteer mentors; support community events and in-person meetups, maintaining 90%+ satisfaction in mentor surveys. 
• Drive mentor engagement and experience through the online community platform, reflective sessions, and arranging mentor meetups.

2. Programme Delivery & Development

• Maintain strong relationships with referral partners (e.g., schools, community organisations) to ensure a steady referral pipeline and collaborative working and 80% of your schools are retained. 
• Provide updates of the programme to referral partners and share content to internal marketing and schools colleagues to support completing the schools termly impact template 
• Act as a key liaison between mentors and caregivers, supporting clear communication and shared understanding of child development and the programme. 

4. Safeguarding  

• Uphold a strong culture of safeguarding in your work, acting in compliance with our safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. 
• Contribute to TKN safer recruitment processes, attending internal mentor training events to vet prospective mentors. 
• Review and assess weekly delivery session reports from mentors, updating Salesforce as required. 
• Ensure every child participating in the programme experiences a positive ending in line with TKN positive ending guidance. 
• Work collaboratively with DSLs to follow TKN safeguarding processes, escalating where needed 

Skills Required for this Role

• Relationship Management: Build and maintain trust with mentors, children, schools, caregivers, and community partners. 
• Communication: Clear, professional communication across diverse stakeholders including written reports, training, phone calls, meetings and in person check-ins.

The Head of Programming & Creative Producing is a new senior role, working with the Chief Executive to shape and deliver the artistic output of the Philharmonia.

The postholder works hand-in-hand with the Head of Artistic Planning, and members of the Executive team to programme and artistically shape traditional concert programmes at various scales and in various contexts, as well as learning and digital projects and pre- or post-concert activities. The postholder also leads on the development and producing of new performance formats for own-promoted concerts.

A first-rate creative thinker, you will be passionate about working with conductors, artists and agents to create world-class concert programmes, residencies and series, and will be able to draw on your deep knowledge and understanding of orchestral repertoire, artists, and the wider cultural context, as well as an established network of industry relationships to turn your ideas into reality.

Your artistic interests, however, will range beyond the traditional core, and you will be driven by a personal mission to engage different and new audiences with orchestral music, whether that is through music for films or games, cross-artform and cross-genre collaborations, pre-performance debates, schools performances, VR installations, or different performance formats. You will take a producing approach to new performance formats, keenly appreciative of the importance of staging, narrative and flow for contemporary audiences. 

You know the importance of equality and diversity on stage in building a future for classical music, and are an active champion of creative projects which demonstrate this. Discovering new artists and musical voices will be second nature to you, just as you will be sensitive to the needs of established artists and composers in shaping a project. While your focus is on the quality of the artistic output, you will maintain in-the-round awareness of the complex jigsaw of sometimes competing priorities and restrictions into which any project has to be delivered, including box office and audience development targets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

• Research and identify future featured artists, composers and guest conductors proactively

• Research and develop ideas and concepts for season themes and series

Leadership and Management

• Lead on chamber music programming, including liaison with players over proposals

Key tasks

• Develop repertoire ideas and ensure timely registration on clash-diary, with support from Co-ordinator 

• Collaborate with Director of Tours and Project Development and partners to develop programmes for foreign touring and commercial projects, while considering market and budget limitations

Skills and Qualifications

Off The Record Twickenham is a unique charity in Richmond borough which provides free and confidential counselling, walk-in information and sexual health support to young people aged 11-24 who live, work or study in Richmond borough. Our vision is that “Every young person has a welcoming space where they feel valued, supported and listened to”. We support over 1,000 young people every year.

In the coming year we have secured grant and other income covering two thirds of our planned expenditure of £340,000 and we need to fundraise for the remainder. We want to grow our income in future years in order to expand our much-needed services, particularly by nurturing and growing the support of local businesses, schools and community groups. We also see great potential to increase support from individuals and major donors across the borough of Richmond, given we support so many young people and families in the area every year.

As this role involves engaging local community groups, businesses and volunteers in our mission to support local young people, it is particularly suited to someone who lives and/or has worked in the London borough of Richmond. You'll join a warm, supportive and motivated team that strives to make a difference and enjoy autonomy in the role to shape and grow your own fundraising portfolio. Building on the charity's secure and well-established income from grant-makers, you'll grow and nurture newer fundraising streams, capitalising on Off The Record Twickenham's strong local reputation and existing community support. 

As Fundraiser, you will be responsible for all fundraising applications and will also lead on building strong relationships with grant givers and with Off The Record Twickenham’s local community, developing partnerships with businesses, community groups, and individual supporters.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Manager, combining both home and office-based working, with local travel. Occasional evening and weekend work also required. The salary is up to £40,000p.a. depending on experience.

• Ensuring Off The Record maintains its core funding
• Developing and monitoring the fundraising strategy with the manager
• Taking responsibility for all bid-writing for an established grant fundraising portfolio, including budgets and monitoring reports

This is a critical role, leading on the delivery and evaluation of multiple programmes, managing key stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the sustainability and growth of our work in a challenging funding climate.

This role will be focused on our growing work in Lewisham, a priority area for TU with high need, multi-year commitment from a range of partners, and incredible family engagement. Working alongside local schools, livery companies, and housing providers, the Programme Officer will be tasked with continuing to develop and expand our work in the borough, in line with our three-year strategic plan for the borough.

Barnardo's Scotland is looking to recruit an experienced and highly skilled Children's Service Manager to manage the Barnardo's Nurture Service Inverclyde. The service provides whole family support to children, young people (0 to 18 years) and families across Inverclyde. The service consists of a range of services and a varied funding landscape. The Children's Service Manager should be experienced in managing a range of contracts and competent and confident in managing the associated reporting schedules and commitments.

From a service delivery perspective, the service is structured as follows:

• Attainment Team - Supporting school age children, in communities, schools and outreach within the family home.
• Children's Disability Team - Supporting and providing groupwork activities for children and young people with additional support needs and complex disabilities.
• Early Years Team - Providing a range of support and interventions for across Early Years, this includes 1-1 intensive and groupwork support for children and their families, at our service base, in the community and outreach within their family homes.
• Birth Parents Service - Intensive support for Birth Parents, who no longer have care of their children through adoption, long term foster and kinship care.

In addition to the Barnardo's generic person specification, requirements for the role include:

• Educated to degree level in social work, social care or related fields.
• SCQF level 11 management qualification is (desirable).

Job description

Kingston Bereavement Support is a friendly local charity that provides face to face counselling for children, young people and adults grieving the death of a person close to them. We are well placed to deliver this support, having provided specialist bereavement counselling in the Kingston community since 1988. We are partially funded by the local council and have strong referral pathways with GPs, schools and social services. Our model uses specially trained local volunteer counsellors, offering good value for money while supporting the development of skilled practitioners. As our services are available for free we ensure there is no financial barrier to accessing this support.

We are now looking for a part-time freelance Fundraiser to help secure and grow the income that makes this work possible.

Hybrid - remote working with occasional visits to the office in Kingston as needed (office is a 5 minute walk from Kingston train station, Greater London).

The Role

As a key player in our close-knit team, you’ll enjoy genuine autonomy and high visibility. You will take ownership of fundraising and income generation, ensuring we have the resources to sustain and grow our impact.
Initially, your main focus will be grant fundraising whilst also working with the Trustees to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy including mid and long term initiatives.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have a good understanding of the current fundraising landscape and the different types of fundraising activities

- Be skilled and experienced in identifying and securing funding from trusts and foundations

- Have the ability to write high-quality compelling funding applications

- Have experience building and maintaining a pipeline of funding opportunities

- Have excellent communication skills, able to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues, Trustees, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Fundraising

· Identify and secure funding from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies

· Write high-quality, compelling funding applications

· Build and manage a strong prioritised pipeline of funding opportunities

· Maintain relationships with funders, including reporting and stewardship

Other income sources

· Assess, prioritise and implement alternative fundraising activities including, for example, local fundraising events and community & individual fundraising initiatives.

Strategy, Compliance & Reporting

· Develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy aligned to organisational goals

· Track performance against targets and provide insight

· Ensure all fundraising is compliant with regulations and best practice

· Represent the charity externally with confidence and credibility

Working with internal and external stakeholders

· Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather impact data and develop compelling cases for support

· Act as a key ambassador for Kingston Bereavement Support with funders and external stakeholders

Person Specification

Essential skills and experience:

1. Proven track record of securing five- figure grants from trusts and foundations

2. Excellent relationship- building and communication skills, able to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues,         Trustees, and external stakeholders.

3. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive and compelling funding applications

4. Strong prospect research and pipeline development skills

5. An understanding of the fundraising landscape nationwide and in the London Boroughs as relevant

6. Familiarity with fundraising activities alternative to grants  

7. A proactive approach, with the ability to spot opportunities and drive activity forward

8. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Desirable, but not essential:

1. Experience securing six-figure and/or multi-year grants

2. Knowledge of the mental health sector

3. Experience contributing to fundraising strategy
