This is a hands-on, operational role working closely with the Chief Operations Officer and Senior Management Team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, producing clear financial information and ensuring strong financial controls are in place.
This role would suit someone who enjoys practical finance work, values accuracy and organisation, and wants to use their skills in a purpose-driven charity.
Key responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day finance operations, including income, expenditure and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly management accounts and support budget monitoring
Maintain accurate financial records in line with charity accounting requirements
Support payroll processes and liaise with external providers
Prepare information for audits and work with external auditors
Support finance-related reporting for trustees, funders and senior managers

About you:
You will have proven experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector. You will be confident working independently, while also supporting colleagues across the organisation with finance-related queries.
You will be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing competing priorities. Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software are essential, along with a practical and solutions-focused approach.

For a small London-based charity, we are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance for 6 + months, starting ASAP. Reporting to C-suite, the main accountabilities will focus on providing insightful monthly management accounts and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees / Board, and to ensure the correct allocation of expenditure to a high number of grant funds. Main Duties:

Head of Public Affairs, Media and Digital Communications

Our client is looking for an experienced and politically astute Head of Public Affairs, Media and Digital Communications to help shape their work, influence decision‑makers and strengthen the voice of working people across Wales.
Do you have experience in working in or with trade unions, political institutions, political parties or public affairs organisations, with a strong understanding of how political decisions are made?
Can you lead and develop a communications team, delivering high‑quality, timely and strategic outputs across press, digital and social media?
Do you have strong analytical skills and political judgement, with the confidence and ability to respond quickly to fast moving events and changing contexts?
Do you have knowledge and understanding of current key issues in Wales and the UK more broadly around employment, the economy, society, trade unionism and politics- and can you apply this insight into communications and public affairs work?
In this role you’ll be working with unions and other organisations to deliver their priorities and will take the lead on building and maintaining effective relationships with elected representatives, advisors and civil servants across pollical parties. As well as having excellent interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate they can operate confidently in a political environment, influence decision‑makers and represent our client with authority. You’ll also work closely with the General Secretary and senior leadership team to align political engagement with communications strategy, ensuring the organisation's voice is clear, consistent and influential.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of political and communications activity, using insight and data to refine and strengthen their work.

About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Programme Funding Officer to join a dynamic team at a growing international development charity based in Bristol, delivering transformational change for some of the world’s most vulnerable people, living on the frontlines of the climate crisis. You will work closely with the Programme Funding team to secure and maximise restricted incoming from institutional donors, trusts, foundations, and corporates across all Tree Aid countries of operation.
Main duties:
- Support the development and submission of compelling and high-quality proposals and funding applications.
- Generate new restricted income to expand and strengthen Tree Aid’s programme portfolio, including contributing to securing match funding.
- Deliver excellent donor stewardship to build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with a diverse range of funders.
- Identify and research new funding opportunities aligned with organisational priorities and share prospects with UK and country teams.
- Support donor reporting by contributing to accurate, timely donor reports and project updates as part of effective donor liaison.
About you:
Experience / Skills
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to transform complex information into compelling cases for support.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at different levels.
- Proven experience in developing donor proposals and reports and securing funding from institutional donors.
- Experience of donor stewardship.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience reviewing budgets and financial reports.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with fundraising best practice and relevant legislation, including GDPR.
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken) is desirable.

Public Law Project (PLP) is looking for a Finance Assistant to help our charity operate effectively. You will play an essential role in ensuring our team have the financial support needed to deliver our essential work.
