Harris Hill is delighted to be working on behalf of Freelands Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting innovative work across education, galleries and the wider arts sector. As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and overseeing the Foundation’s people strategy as it enters an exciting period of growth, including the expansion of key programmes, reaching new audiences and a major capital project. The role will be initially office-based throughout the probation period, moving to a hybrid arrangement of four days per week in the office thereafter.

We are looking for an experienced HR generalist with substantial experience of supporting employees and senior managers within a small to medium-sized organisation. You will have a strong understanding of UK employment law and practical experience of delivering effective recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes, alongside the ability to develop well-researched recommendations on HR policy and practice. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, written and interviewing skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm, objective and organised when managing sensitive or competing priorities. You will be proactive, collegiate and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment, with a genuine commitment to Freelands Foundation’s mission to champion art education and a belief in the intrinsic value of art. The Senior Major Gifts Manager will play a crucial role in the theatre’s new Stories Start Here campaign, building on the successful major donor fundraising programme, acting as the key relationship manager for a portfolio of some of the closest and most passionate supporters. The postholder will identify, cultivate, solicit and secure major gifts of £25,000 and more, working collaboratively across the excellent Development department. Reporting to the Head of Major Gifts, the Senior Major Gifts Manager will support Development senior management, Trustees, and the Development in their solicitation of principal and major gifts.

The appointed candidate will have experience in a fundraising capacity with a successful track record of meeting targets and personally soliciting and securing five-figure philanthropic gifts. There will be evidence in your application of relationship management to proactively develop a portfolio of prospects and of demonstrable prospect research skills. You will need to write persuasively in this role and will have experience of creating compelling fundraising materials.

SOS UK is looking for a Project Manager to deliver our engagement work with a focus on our Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL).

Role details

Location: Home working in (or close to) London, Midlands or Manchester

Working patterns: 1 FTE (35 hours per week) with typical working times between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The role includes weekly travel with early starts and late returns, and approx. 6 overnight stays a year. 

Salary: Starting salary £32,289 per annum, rising to £36,843, plus London Weighting of up to £3,655 pro rata where applicable. We also provide up to a 6% pension contribution and life assurance.

Contract: Fixed term until December 2029

About the role

This role will be primarily focusing on our Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL), with opportunity to contribute towards our wider engagement programmes. SEAL has a twofold vision; to support students navigating the home energy system and to improve access to student energy efficient properties via landlord engagement and student campaigning. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Engage, maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders particularly landlords and students' unions, as well as students, volunteers, universities, local authorities, and other key organisations. 
• Support landlords, student letting agencies and students’ unions to improve the energy efficiency of student accommodation, focusing on implementing energy efficiency initiatives, advice and support.
• Plan, design, and deliver engaging training sessions to a variety of audiences.
• Provide support for students’ union officers and other student campaigners working on housing energy efficiency campaigns, including the design and implementation of a national student home energy campaign.
• Support with the creation and management of sector wide student energy efficiency advisory groups including a home energy efficiency network, student advisory group and stakeholder advisory group.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of programme resources and communications, including social media and website updates.

One of these roles focuses on delivering acquisition through digital, DRTV and offline channels. About the team 
The Committed Giving Team is a high achieving, fast-paced team responsible for the acquisition and retention of committed/regular donors. The team work across 3 key areas; Acquisition, Direct Dialogue Acquisition (Face to Face channels), and Retention (Stewardship).  

The Acquisition team is responsible for the recruitment of new regular givers and lottery players, through digital, DRTV, and other offline channels. 

The retention team is responsible for the ongoing stewardship and engagement of over 300,000 donors, ensuring that supporters are inspired to give for many years. 
 

The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.

Service Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Service Development Manager to work closely with the CEO to establish and deliver a strong presence across Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

Position: Service Development Manager

Location: Remote/Gloucestershire, with regular travel across Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury and occasional attendance at the Stroud office

The Role

This is a hands-on role combining direct family support, project management, service development and partnership building. You will hold an appropriate caseload, develop new activity, build strong local referral pathways and help turn the countywide plans into practical support for families.

We need someone who is confident working independently, takes ownership, builds relationships quickly and can find practical solutions when there is no obvious route forward. The initial focus will be Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, but the role is designed to evolve as our countywide work develops.

Position Overview 

The Development Manager role brings the opportunity to an avid fundraiser and resource mobilization professional to manage the strategic fundraising efforts of IFIP to build, sustain, and grow the organization’s institutional pool of funders by aligning development strategy with the organization’s mission, goals, key programs, and initiatives. This position plays a critical role in enhancing our sustainability efforts through identifying, cultivating, soliciting, grant writing, and securing funding support in accordance with IFIP’s strategic framework.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Development Manager works collaboratively with senior management, staff, and consultants to ensure sustainability goals are achieved. The Development Manager cultivates prospects, sustains relationships, creates proposals and reports for funders to illustrate impact and spends most of their time engaging with prospective funders and supporters through both virtual and in-person interactions. 

The ideal candidate is a skilled fundraiser and a relationship builder with a strong understanding of philanthropic giving. They should be proactive and strategic, with a proven track record of securing mid-to-large multi-year funding, nurturing donor relationships, and effectively communicating the organization's mission and impact. Familiarity and commitment to IFIP's mission is essential. Experience working remotely and across multiple time zones is an asset. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Fundraising and Resource mobilization  

• Develop a comprehensive multi-year development strategy, including developing related guidelines and policies and ensure IFIP secures annual revenue goals.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and other donors, including foundations and other funders. 

• Responsible for the development, writing, and submission of compelling grant proposals. Manages full lifecycle of grants, from proposals to reports, ensuring fundraising goals are met annually. 

• Able to skillfully navigate donor relationships and the philanthropic landscape with nuance, big picture, and keen understanding of the shifting trends and perspectives.

• In coordination with senior leadership, organize, prepare and attend donor meetings and convenings in support of strategic initiatives. 

• Develop strategic fundraising initiatives, including events and campaigns and identify new opportunities for resource mobilization. 

• Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive fundraising plans that align with the organization’s goals, programs, and initiatives. 

• Coordinate with leadership on restricted gifts, proposal budgets with restricted allocations, and financial reporting to donors. 

• Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with IFIP’s team and consultants to maximize total revenue in service of the organization’s mission

• Collaborate with the Engagement and Communications team to enhance visibility and donor messaging efforts through our newsletters and communications platforms.

• Utilize a CRM for data collection, relationship management, and tracking donor interactions. 

• Manages information-tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, ongoing communication and continued cultivation of donors in portfolio.

Organizational Culture and Team Collaboration 

• Partner with the CEO to ensure IFIP’s strategy is reflected across fundraising plans, funder engagement and partnerships. 

• Foster a collaborative, results-driven, and accountability culture that empowers the IFIP team to deliver organizational goals effectively. 

• Contribute to a culture of teamwork by fostering collaboration and support of each other to accomplish tasks at hand, the annual work plan, and overall mission.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Track record of garnering new donors and substantial levels of funding per year

• Demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategies and plans and excellent donor relations skills.

• Familiarity with donor database tools to track grants and donor relationships 

• Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, results and solutions-oriented attitude are essential.

• Problem-solver, with high integrity and ability to communicate clear expectations and foster team collaboration. 

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills in written and oral forms and ability to articulate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

• Solid information technology proficiency with CRMs, remote meeting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud systems for project management. 

• Experience travelling internationally to urban and rural areas where English may not be the primary language.

• Fluency in English.Fluency in a second language is an asset.

Job details: This is a full-time, remote position based in the greater London area. Employee may spend up to three weeks a year in Sacramento, CA for strategic planning and team building. IFIP's team, board, members, and stakeholders are based worldwide and distributed across multiple time zones. This role is based in London and follows UK working hours; however, occasional flexibility will be required for early morning or late evening meetings with colleagues around the world. Supporting the Senior Analysis Officers, the Data Reporting & Analysis Officer role helps us to provide and maintain comprehensive reporting and analytics for the Income Generation team at Battersea.

Additionally, as Battersea continues the process of migrating to a new CRM (Salesforce), this role will be crucial for helping us support the fundraisers’ reporting needs during the first few months after Go-Live.
