Right now, millions of people across the UK are struggling to make ends meet. Whether it’s skipping meals, choosing between heating and rent, or facing unexpected expenses without a safety net — financial insecurity is a daily reality for far too many. At Turn2us, we’re here to change that. We support people in financial crisis to access the help they need and to build long-term financial security.
Every year, we reach millions through our practical tools like our Benefits Calculator and Grants Search, and we provide direct support through our Helpline and grant programmes. We work alongside people with lived experience of poverty to influence policy, shift public narratives, and tackle the root causes of financial insecurity.
Turn2us is serious about tackling financial insecurity both at scale and at its roots. We understand that the measurement and evaluation of all of our work is absolutely vital to achieving this and helping people thrive, and we are looking for an interim Head of Impact and Evaluation to join us on a 12-month maternity contract to support this work.
As Interim Head of Impact and Evaluation, you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving frameworks that help all colleagues understand and enhance our impact. We’re looking for someone who sees impact not as a back-office function but as a transformative enabler of our mission. Naturally we want you to bring deep technical expertise, but also empathy, curiosity, and the leadership skills to bring others with you. This role isn’t just about ticking boxes and meeting funder paperwork requirement. It’s about supporting innovation, making crucial decisions about where we focus our efforts, and unlocking the insights that help us deliver a more just and secure society.
We know that Turn2us will benefit from leaders with new perspectives and ways of thinking, so we’re actively encouraging broad interest from impactful leaders who bring transferable skills from a wide range of backgrounds- whether commercial, from civil society, government or education. But an ability and curiosity to learn is key, as is the confidence to acknowledge the things that you don’t know.
This is a genuinely exciting and critical role: for our staff, our partners, and most importantly, the people for whom our organisation exists. We are always eager to receive approaches from people with lived experience of financial insecurity. If you can demonstrate a clear commitment to our values and ethos, and a deep personal commitment to our vision, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to enable students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and achieve their wonderful potential.
As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping over 60,000 young people each year at its 46 learning centres across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision over the coming years.
We are looking for a Fundraising Support Officer (Corporate Partnerships) to join our exceptional, talented and successful fundraising team, all of whom have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for our mission to help young people achieve their ambitions.
We have a fantastic and diverse range of supportive corporate partners - from large international organisations to smaller companies working in local communities. As part of the corporate fundraising team, you will play a key and varied role in supporting colleagues across partnership management, while also managing your own portfolio of corporate supporters, contributing to funding bids, engaging volunteers and organising student visits.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join NEYDL’s growing team and help us establish and develop our work with young dads in Sunderland.
As a Senior Young Dads Worker, you will provide direct, intensive support to young dads across Sunderland, working with some of the most disadvantaged young men in the region. You will manage your own caseload, lead peer support activity, work in close partnership with Family Hubs, social care and other local services, and take a lead role in ensuring every young dad you work with is effectively supported from first contact through to positive outcomes.
This is a senior role with real responsibility. Alongside direct delivery, you will take ownership of your project budget, contribute to funder reporting, supervise junior staff and/or volunteers, and develop a designated area of specialism agreed with the senior leadership team. You will be part of a close, supportive team and will play an active role in shaping how NEYDL grows its presence in Sunderland.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with experience of working with disadvantaged young people or young families in a direct support role, ideally in a statutory or voluntary sector context. You will be confident working independently and managing a complex caseload, and you will understand the challenges facing young dads and the systems they navigate.
We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of young fatherhood or young parenthood, from individuals with local knowledge of Sunderland communities, and from people from minoritised backgrounds.
What we offer
NEYDL is a close, inclusive and supportive team that actively invests in the development of its staff. We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. If you join us, you will be part of a team that genuinely believes in what it does.
In addition, we offer:
Job purpose
To provide high-quality, intensive support to young dads and expectant fathers (aged 25 and under) across Sunderland; to lead and coordinate peer support activity; to manage allocated budgets and contribute to funder reporting; and to take an active role in the development of NEYDL’s commissioned services in the region.
