This is a demanding role where you will support the Fundraising Director in effective management of the fundraising teams across our UK centres and the central expertise in Trusts, Major Gifts and Partnerships.

You will assist the Fundraising Director to plan and organise a broad range of fundraising activities; formulating and adjusting plans as required.  Additionally, the Fundraising Director will depend on you to lead or assist on specific projects.   
 

You will act as gatekeeper regarding access for fundraising teams to the Fundraising Director which will involve utilising strong understanding and sound judgement skills across a number of activities.

Location: York/ hybrid (in office once or twice a week)
Contract: Two-year fixed term, 35 hours a week

Main purpose and scope of the job 

The communications officer is responsible for clear, consistent, and engaging internal and external communications that convey JRCT’s mission and values and support the work of the people and organisations we fund.

Battersea has entered an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the second year of our new five-year strategy. With increased investment in income generation, we are strengthening our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals. We are now recruiting for two Philanthropy Manager opportunities to support this growth: a full time permanent position, and an 3 year fixed-term role focused on New Business. Both roles sit within the Philanthropy, Partnerships & Commercial (PPC) team, made up of Philanthropy & Trusts, Corporate Partnerships & Commercial, Special Events & Stewardship, and Fundraising Operations.

The focus of the Philanthropy & Trusts team is to build a solid base of support through excellent stewardship of existing trusts and major donors alongside cultivation of new prospects, reached through prospect research and the networks of senior volunteers.

The key purpose of the permanent Philanthropy Manager position is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs in order ensure the long-term health of the Philanthropy pipeline. They will do this by personally managing a portfolio of key individual relationships as well as line-managing the Philanthropy Officer to deliver against their targets. This role, together with Battersea’s other Philanthropy Managers, will also work closely with senior leadership, senior volunteers and other individuals to open up networks and introduce new major donors to Battersea.

The fixed-term Philanthropy Manager position is is a new role working within Battersea’s Philanthropy & Trusts team to seek and secure new income as part of a £4-6million pound capital fundraising appeal over the next 3 years. One of the key pillars of Battersea’s current strategy is to ensure that we continue to provide expert care for all the dogs and cats that come through our gates. One of the ways in which we do this is by investing in our facilities to ensure that they continue to meet the changing needs of the animals we care for. Our new capital fundraising appeal will help to achieve that aim. The key purpose of this Philanthropy Manager (New Business) is to meet both financial and strategic KPIs, by cultivating a pipeline of new major donor prospects to secure significant donations for this capital campaign.

The Candidate:
• This is a key role in our Wales team and for candidates to stand out, we are looking for experience of working within a policy & advocacy or political context.
• Experience in shaping and implementing policy and advocacy or political strategies preferably in the environmental/voluntary sector, providing technical policy input and advice.
• Knowledge of the Welsh Government and Senedd with a strong understanding of current environmental policy, conservation and land management issues. You’ll have awareness of current affairs and processes through legislation, policy and grants in the Welsh context.
• Confident in building and developing partnerships with external and internal stakeholders, able to influence different audiences, to successfully change attitudes, behaviours and/or policy of key stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of teams and stakeholders to ensure the best development of strategies and policies.
• Ability to analyse complex information and be able to communicate in effective ways for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of different levers and approaches that can be used effectively to influence decision-makers.
• This role is based in Wales and will require the successful candidate to undertake travel across Wales and the UK.

To support the Board in the effective management of our marketing function, including fundraising (and liaising with external fundraising organisations where appropriate). To assess service improvements, ensuring that all systems (including Digital and IT infrastructure) and processes are efficient whilst enabling a supportive and welcoming culture. Lead initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of services and our information management systems. The risk management, data protection and data governance aspects of this role are important. Oversees the setting of targets and gathering of statistics to feed the strategy in line with business plans agreed by leadership team and trustees.

1. Manage the implementation of the marketing strategy (including digital marketing) and support the marketing co-ordinator/administrator(s).

2. Develop grant writing, apply for grants, and manage fundraising activities.

3. Develop external relationships as appropriate to support fundraising and events.

4. Work with the Counselling Manager, Clinical Administrator(s) and Admin team to ensure all systems and processes are most effective whilst supporting the culture of the organisation.

5. Responsible for identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing improvement strategies, and monitoring progress to ensure better service delivery and outcomes.

6. Work with the Office Manager and Counselling Manager to support all relevant IT systems and initiate improvements as required.

7. Working with the Trustees and Leadership team, oversea the setting of targets and gathering of statistics to feed the strategy in line with business plans

8. Ensure the organisation and its systems adhere to the latest GDPR requirements and support effective risk management.

The Old Bank Wellbeing Trust Limited (‘The Old Bank’) is a registered charity offering counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals, couples and groups and providing training to support the improvement of mental health. We seek to make our services accessible to all and it is a key aim for everyone interacting with our services to feel accepted and welcomed.

We’re looking for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our ambitious Public Fundraising team, this is an new role within our Individual Giving Team. 

You’ll have experience inspiring fundraising groups, delivering mass in-aid of fundraising products, and motivating volunteers and individuals to fundraise on our behalf. You’ll build strong internal and external relationships, use audience insight and sector trends to develop in-aid of fundraising initiatives and deliver an impactful suite of community-led products. You’ll also have experience delivering in-memory products at scale and developing digital stewardship journeys and activations. 

In delivering the Community Fundraising programme, you’ll bring expertise in digital marketing, strategic thinking, and mass audience engagement. You’ll share our ambition to drive growth through fundraising products and activations, working closely with colleagues across the charity to maximise donor lifetime value. 

You’ll be someone who can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to champion the role Public Fundraising plays. You’ll enjoy monitoring donor trends, being data-led, and testing and learning across all Community Fundraising income streams. 

This role involves travel and overnight stays when required.

You’ll be working in a newly formed team with the Head of Individual Giving. You’ll be building a new income stream from the ground up, drawing on learnings from existing streams and identifying opportunities to grow and develop the programme to meet our exciting fundraising goals. 

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and you’ll be expected to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you work at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40–60% of your working week. This will be discussed further at interview. 

What you'll be doing

This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inspiring donors, fundraising groups, and volunteers. You’ll play a key role in developing this new income stream with internal partners, organisation wide. 

You’ll manage all areas of Community Fundraising, including supporter groups, in-aid of fundraising, and in-memory giving. You’ll identify levers to inspire donors, raise more money for critical conservation work, and create exceptional donor experiences. You’ll think across the lifetime of a donor’s relationship with us and collaborate with other teams to engage donors where they are. 

Who we're looking for

Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role.  In your application, please provide details of how you meet the minimum criteria below: 

• Experience developing mass fundraising strategies and growing six-figure-plus community fundraising income streams, including mass in-aid of asks, in-memory giving, and supporter groups.

• Strong project management experience, including using data, sector trends, and audience insight to develop marketing campaigns, compelling fundraising propositions, stewardship journeys, and lifetime value plans, with a view to connecting with diverse communities.

• Experience building strong relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders (including supporter groups, volunteers, properties, and in-memory supporters) while ensuring an audience-first approach and championing Community Fundraising.

• Knowledge of six-figure-plus Community Fundraising product life cycles and experience delivering mass-scale fundraising budgets, including monitoring CPA, ROI, KPIs, and retention rates.

• Experience developing and implementing lifetime value journeys integrated with wider charity communications, including knowledge of donor motivations and segmentation, storytelling, and effectively communicating the charity’s mission and impact. 

Additional criteria for all other applicants:

• Knowledge of GDPR, fundraising compliance and ethical standards 

• Experience of using CRM and Data systems to support data-driven decision making

We are looking for ambitious and strategic Development Manager – Corporate and Philanthropy to lead the growth of our corporate fundraising, build high-value partnerships, and work with our network of senior supporters to unlock transformational opportunities.

With a strong foundation of mid-level corporate partners (typically £5k-£25k) and a skilled Senior Officer in place to manage and grow those relationships, you’ll be free to focus on securing new, higher-value partnerships and support.

The Role:

You’ll lead our corporate new business development identifying and approaching companies aligned with our mission, and converting them into long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to cultivate high-net worth individuals and senior volunteers who can introduce us to the right people and help get us in the room.

Working with colleagues across communications, marketing and services, you’ll create professional, pitch-ready presentations and proposals that inspire companies to partner with us – and then deliver those pitches at a senior level, with confidence and clarity.

Key responsibilities:

· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners

· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.

· Deliver high-level presentations and pitches to senior stakeholders across a range of industries.

· Work with the Director of Fundraising to identify and engage major donors and key contacts who can help unlock introductions and strategic support

· Manage Senior Officer who leads on existing mid-level corporate partnerships.

· Support the growth of the mid-level portfolio and ensure excellent stewardship and reporting for all corporate partners.

· Collaborate with marketing, communications, and service delivery teams to ensure partnerships are meaningful, on-brand, and mutually beneficial.

· Monitor income and pipeline progress, ensuring accurate forecasting and tracking.

What we’re looking for:

· A track record of securing new business or corporate partnerships, ideally in a fundraising CSR setting

· Confident writing and presenting skills, with experience creating professional pitch decks and delivering high-level presentations

· A strategic thinker who can spot opportunities, plan a compelling approach, and close the deal

· Experience collaborating across teams (e.g. Marketing design, service delivery) to shape proposals and deliver joint objectives

Role Purpose

The Finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the charity, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, robust financial controls, and timely financial reporting. The postholder will work closely with the CEO to support budgeting, grant and tender applications, procurement, and financial reporting to the Board of Trustees.

This is a key role in ensuring the charity’s financial sustainability, compliance, and effective use of resources.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Financial Operations

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using appropriate accounting software.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including income, expenditure, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.

Person Specification

Essential

• Qualified and experienced bookkeeper (e.g. AAT or equivalent experience).

The Role: 
• This is a key role in the South West region Operation team which works with Site Managers and the Rainforest Project team based in Devon to support and deliver the management of the Trust’s temperate rainforest sites, principally in Dartmoor and South Devon.
• The work will include carrying out on-site inspections and surveys, organising and supervising a variety of contracts, overseeing the work of volunteers and communicating with the public.  The area has a lot of active harvesting, so a working knowledge of timber mensuration is desirable for the role.
• You will be responsible with planning, implementing, monitoring the financial management of budgeted woodland management programmes using contractors, agents and volunteers.

• You will be responsible for optimising the engagement opportunities for visitors, local community and volunteers across the key sites to support with events such as community tree planting.
• You will be responsible for developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise income and grant aid potential to support ongoing projects and programmes.
• This role is based in Devon and will require the successful candidate to travel around the South West region.

The Candidate: 
• Experience of land-based management in the forestry and conservation sector, managing and supervising contracts and contractors on site.
• Qualified to HND/degree level in forestry, land management or other related field would be desirable.
• Understanding of project management and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and ongoing contracts at one time and to budget. You’ll have a positive approach and be able to prioritise, manage your own time and meet targets to tight deadlines.
• Experience in carrying out on-site inspections and surveys, frequently conducting woodland condition assessments, PAWS assessments and record/species checks.
• You’ll have a collaborative approach, with the ability to work with multiple teams, building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols, FSC and FISCA policies and procedures with the ability to supervise and manage adherence to these on a daily basis.
