Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £50,400 - £57,000, depending on experience
Location: Office based - London, Old Street (EC1Y)
The Opportunity:
This is a dual-remit role combining ownership of our office environment with high quality support to our Core group. The Core group is the c.40-person team that brings together the firm’s central support services
The successful candidate will be the person who keeps our single-floor, c.60-desk open plan office running smoothly day-to-day, and who provides reliable ‘EA-type’ support to the CFOO and the heads of the Core group’s sub-teams. The role is fundamentally service-orientated: you will be the first person colleagues and visitors turn to, and your standards will set the tone for how the Core group serves the organisation.
This is a varied, high-trust role for someone who wants to be the person that makes things work and who has a desire to provide service that delights. It is a fully on-site role based at our Old Street office, five days a week – and that’s by design. As the person responsible for our workplace experience, your presence is what makes the difference. You’ll build relationships across every team, respond to needs in real time, and take genuine ownership of an environment that our team relies on each day.
What you will do:
Office Management
Act as the day-to-day owner of our leased office floor, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, well-presented and fully operational at all times.
Manage the relationship with the landlord and building management on all matters relating to the premises, including access, maintenance, repairs and building-wide communications.
Manage relationships with our sub-lease tenants.
Manage relationships with office-related suppliers (cleaners, maintenance contractors, security, plants and caterers) including contract renewals and service level monitoring.
Manage department budget in line with our Responsible Procurement Policy, carrying out annual budgeting and reforecasting in collaboration with Finance team.
Oversee office supplies, stationery, kitchen consumables, print and postage, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Manage front-of-house: greet visitors, handle deliveries and couriers, and ensure meeting rooms are prepared, tidy and appropriately equipped.
Support onboarding for new joiners, coordinating with People & Talent, IT and the relevant hiring manager to ensure a smooth first-day experience.
Manage ad hoc desk bookings for staff and room lends to our sector partners.
Appointed Health and Safety Officer, coordinating health & safety compliance for the office, including fire safety, evacuation plans, first aid, DSE assessments and relevant risk assessments, working with the People & Talent team as required.
Support internal events and client hospitality held in the office, from set-up through to catering and clear away.
Identify and deliver practical improvements to the office environment, employee experience and operational efficiency.
Support to the Core Group
Provide high-quality ‘EA-type’ support to the CFOO, including diary management, meeting coordination and project support as required.
Provide proportionate similar support to the senior leaders of the Core group sub-teams (Finance, IT, Legal & Compliance, Middle Office, Transformation), prioritising the activities where your involvement adds the most value.
Coordinate recurring all-Core Group meetings, working closely with the CFOO and sub-team leaders.
Organise internal and external meetings on behalf of the group as required, including booking rooms, arranging hospitality and liaising with external parties.
Prepare and format documents, presentations and correspondence to a high standard, often involving sensitive or confidential material.
Help plan and run Core Group events, offsites and social activities that bring the team together.
Act as a discreet, trusted point of contact, handling confidential information with complete professionalism.
Other Support
Working collegiately within the BSC Support Network team, providing support during busy periods and annual leave and collectively ensuring support needs across the organisation are met.
Other duties as required.
Participate in at least one ‘BSC Citizenship’ activity, helping to make BSC a great place to work. This could be helping to organise our summer or winter social, joining the Staff Council or helping across other champion roles
What you will bring - Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
Demonstrable experience in an office management and/or EA role, ideally in a professional services, financial services or similarly regulated environment.
Experience of health and safety delivery including office-based risk assessing, trained first aider and/or fire marshal certification and general H&S operational knowledge.
Prior knowledge or interest in social enterprise, charity or impact related work.
Desirable
Experience in an FCA-regulated firm or familiarity with the expectations of working in a regulated environment.
Experience managing external suppliers and budgets.
Experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders simultaneously.

Skills, Abilities, Attributes
A genuinely service-orientated mindset – you take pride in making things run well and in making colleagues’ lives easier.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly and without dropping the ball.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a confident, professional manner with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Sound judgement and absolute discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable picking up new systems quickly, including AI.

Who we are:
Hope is here. The Global Returns Project (GRP) is a UK charity unlocking new philanthropy to deliver urgent solutions for our planet.
We are a fast-moving nonprofit that makes donations to high-impact nature and climate charities simple – and we don’t take any fees. We’ve already mobilised £3 million for top environmental solutions and are working to unlock at least £30 million annually by the end of the decade.
We are growing quickly: Last year's annual fundraising was nearly triple the previous year.
The problem: Charities protecting our planet can turn the tide on climate change and nature loss. They have the skills, strategies and networks to deliver fast and global impact. But less than 2% of philanthropy goes to climate mitigation.
Our solution: In the UK alone, around £2 trillion sits with “HNW+” individuals – those holding between £100k and £30 million. Yet traditional philanthropy largely overlooks them. We’re unlocking this funding by offering trusted, pro bono advice and a simple, portfolio approach to giving. Our expertise in UK wealth advice offers a unique path to scalability and systems-change.
What we are looking for:
Job title: Impact and Communications Officer
We're looking for a curious and capable Impact and Communications Officer to help us find, assess, report on and support some of the world’s highest impact climate and nature charities.
Internally, you will play a critical role in supporting the research on charities within our portfolio that our Due Diligence Committee oversees – helping develop our methodology and feeding into charity selection and assessment projects. You’ll help write impact reports and coordinate webinars for our network about our charities. You’ll also manage, update and clean leads in our CRM (Beacon), and support month-end financial processing.
Externally, you will produce much of the Global Returns Project’s communications content, telling compelling stories about cutting-edge environmental projects. You’ll assist with scheduling and sending our newsletters, keeping our website up-to-date, and editing video content. As we generate support for our portfolio via public campaigns and match-funding initiatives, you’ll help coordinate these efforts in line with the strategy set by the wider team.
You will thrive in a small, fast-moving team – taking initiative, being collaborative, and contributing to shared goals. Crucially, you'll care deeply about climate and nature.
Professional experience preferred: Some professional experience in marketing and communications (as a guide, likely 1-3 years).
Please see the full job description attached for information on skills required and main duties and responsibilities.
Location: Centrally located, light and airy office on Regent Street, London. Hybrid working: estimated 3-4 days per week in the office.
Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave, plus statutory bank holidays. Occasional 1–2 days’ additional paid leave over the Christmas period. Flexible working.
Reports to: Kiki Shahida, Impact Officer
Preferred start date: 7 September 2026
Applicants should apply via CharityJob with both a CV and cover letter addressed to the CEO, Jack Chellman. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. Please include the name, email and phone number of a reference we can contact.
Hope is here. We're unlocking new philanthropy to deliver urgent solutions for our planet.

Senior Young Dads Worker (Neurodiverse)
About NEYDL
North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) was founded in 2017 and has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most recognised organisations supporting young dads, men aged 25 and under in a fathering role. Our vision is for young dads to be valued and supported as parents. In 2024/25 we supported 217 young dads directly and achieved 100% satisfaction among the young dads we work with.
We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. Many of our staff are young dads themselves or have lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.
About this role
We use the term ‘young dads’ to refer to young dads, expectant dads and non-birthing partners aged 25 and under. This includes people within this age bracket who self-identify as father figures, including kinship carers and non-birthing partners.
We use the term ‘neurodiverse’ as an inclusive term covering young dads who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other forms of neurodivergence, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or awaiting assessment. We recognise that neurodivergent young dads can face additional barriers in accessing parenting support, including in how services are structured, communicated and delivered, and that these barriers are often compounded by stigma, exclusion or a lack of appropriate adjustment.
This is a dedicated role to ensure neurodivergent young dads can access the high quality support NEYDL offers, and that our wider service offer is genuinely accessible to them. You will provide direct, adapted support to neurodivergent young dads, while also building NEYDL’s organisational understanding of how to work effectively and inclusively with this group.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated and experienced worker with a genuine understanding of neurodivergence and its impact on young fathers, and the ability to adapt support, communication and activities accordingly. You will be a confident networker, able to build relationships with both young dads and the services and organisations that support neurodivergent people across the North East.
We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of neurodivergence, either personally or as a parent or carer of a neurodivergent child, and from people with lived experience of young fatherhood.
What we offer
NEYDL is a close, inclusive and supportive team that actively invests in the development of its staff. We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. If you join us, you will be part of a team that genuinely believes in what it does.
In addition, we offer:
• 7.2 weeks’ annual leave per year (pro rata), inclusive of statutory and public holidays
• 5% employer pension contribution
• A flexible hybrid working arrangement
• Regular supervision and fortnightly team meetings
• Funded professional development and training
• Mileage paid at 55p per mile for business travel
How to apply
To apply, please send your CV (no more than four pages, including two references who can be contacted if successful) and either:
• A covering letter of no more than two sides of A4 (Arial, size 12)
• Or a video of no more than four minutes
In your application, please address:
• What excites you most about this role and how it connects to your skills and experience, bearing in mind the person specification
• What relevant lived experience you would bring to this role
• What experience of engaging with neurodivergent young people, families or communities you would bring to this role
Applications must be received by midnight, Sunday 16 August.
Shortlisting: 17 & 18 August. Interviews: Friday 21 August.
NEYDL is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.
Salary: £49,100 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Closing date: 16 August 2026 at 11pm
